Your transition from talk about obligations, roles & responsibilities, to levels of importance, TH-cam sponsorships, and then back to Silo theory was seamless. 😂🤗 You have a real talent for communicating complex concepts in bite-sized terms.
Love your videos! I spend a lot of time doing menial tasks and listening to your theories and commentary on From and Silo help me pass my time and keep my brain active with speculation and brainstorming. Even when it feels like they're ridiculous or I've gone off on some bizarre tangent, it's still fun to daydream
I think the power lines are links between silos, and that the supercomputers are linked. Even if a single silo power works the other silos will have power in the supercomputer rooms....
Igor...another great, thought provoking video! You have such a colorful way of breaking down episodes and I love to hear your theories. Keep up the great work, my friend...until next time!
Thank you for these! Silo reflects so much of our dread that those in power lie to us a LOT. And manipulate our emotions/ who we hate or venerate for their own reasons.
I think solo is the sheriff's kid from the first episode. I predict flashback that shows him falling back from the crowd that went out in episode 1. And shows how he took the solo indinity.
I agree that seeing Bernard in consternation is a great joy. This show is really tapping in to real people's frustration with a few guys having way more power than everybody else - and how those few are mercilessly trying to steer that frustration away from themselves, and towards for ex. democrats or republicans in general rather than those few that are actually out to screw 99% of the population.
no, this is a good question. also, how low are they, and how was he able to go right back up to the top after a full day of manual labor? I think the mines are gonna be important. maybe the silos all share a mine, and it's so isolated that they don't expect anyone to figure it out. maybe the mines have elevator technology that's not allowed anywhere else.
Idk if he plans to kill Lucas at all. I think he chose him because he’s intuitive and smarter than the others (although he made him believe otherwise)- they’ve already made mention of the technology that can make you forget everything you just did (like what they did to the IT room after they flashed the screen of the outside and Bernard told them to close their eyes). Given this, he wouldn’t necessarily have to kill anybody to get the information from the flash drive.
Juliette stops the next rebellion. Outside forces cut off the electricity. Bernard loses his position somehow. Common takes over and his wife convinces him to send a team of explorers into the tunnels. Another silo is found and the curtain is pulled back on the larger sale social experiment. Silo inhabitants leave but are too shocked to adapt to life above ground. They retreat back into the silo. The end.
@@easyxyg Well, I hope the book is better than this boring show. Well, at least season 2 has been only a snooze-fest thus far. You can spoil it. I really don't care.
@ season 1 was slow & boring as well. I agree season 2 had a very slow start but I’m sure these next episodes to end the season will speed up & have action or reveals.
Perhaps the real Solo was one of the people who tried to break into the vault and the new "Solo" assumed his identity after killing him? There's certainly more to it than that but the way he freaked out when she found out he was lying about his identity could've been why he didn't 'want to talk about what happened to the dead people who had tried to get in there...
It is simple enough to figure out how long IT has before it is flooded. You mark the water line, you check it again later, and you note how high the water rose in that increment. If you know the distance to that floor, you can then calculate when the water will reach it. As for running pumps, where is the water going? It has to go somewhere?
I thought Juliet's choice to look in Trina Samuel's residence wasn't random. It might have been the closet apartment to where she was. We know there is water below a certain level, so maybe Level 23 was too low. With the infection on her arm, Solo may exchange treatment of that in exchange of her stopping the water from rising. Until now, he had no leverage for her to help him. She needs him to pump air to her if she submerges again.
Maybe I’m crazy but I’m not enjoying this season as much as the last. The mystery component isn’t nearly as compelling. It feels like the show is focussing too much on the conflict in the silo, but I really want to learn more about the outside world. The mystery of outside was the most intriguing aspect of season 1 and we’ve barely learned anything about it after 6 episodes of season 2. I’m finding that in every scene with the silo people, I’m wishing they would get back to Juliette and make progress there.
10:12 It could be a red herring. Those lines might or might not be power lines, they could be something bad. Just because Solo said that they have other power sources doesn't mean those lines are.
I think all silos power lines between their it-deparnents are connected. If one silo mechanical turns off Power because of riot other silos might not have rebellion at The same Time so they can cover other silos 2floors easily
The tunnel doesn't connect to Silo 17. Because if it did, there woudl be equalibrum in the water height. Silo 18 would literally be pumping the water out of Silo 17.
The real solo ( actual name: Jimmy) is just the son of a high ranking IT member or the IT head of 17. He entered the vault alone when he was still a teenager, hence the way he thinks and behaves since he had no one to teach him how to mature in the books. This solo seems to be new to me.
6:36 The actor who plays Bernard is one of the best on the show. I would say in order if acting - Bernard actor, Common, actress who played the judge. I am conflicted with the actress who plays Julia. I think the should have chosen an American actress for such a role.
@jadalalife YES! As he was saying here. He dies not have to say a word. He only has to move the muscles of his face. I am not quite certain how they got Common to act in the show. His casting along with Bernard was A+ jackpot casting.

I am here early the comment about the bird killed already 😂
This is why I love this channel!

You might wanna see El Hoyo (The Platform) movies I guess. Different from Silo but pretty much close to what you saying.

Maybe a dumb question but where are the mines and how do they prevent one silo from digging toward another silo and finding their mine?
That is the million dollar question. Because they are simply not practical to be in place.
no, this is a good question. also, how low are they, and how was he able to go right back up to the top after a full day of manual labor? I think the mines are gonna be important.

Good as always.
PS: Is it just me, or does Igor look like Solo? :D

Nice, but no. I know what happens by the book

Great as Always ❤
The additional person in the scene with Billings, Kennedy, and the deputy is Billings' wife. Looks like she'll be treating Kennedy.
It was his niece
The middle finger has an expression: it’s called “flip(ing) the bird”. Small pun intended, I guess.

Solo was a child when the Silo fell. As the actor stated: Solo is a 10 year old in a 45 year olds body. Been alone for sooo many years in the vault.
Such a surprise seeing the same content in English instead of Russian

How do we know that IT in Silo 18 doesn't have it's own back up power?
The generators haven't been flooded. So maybe back-up power didn't kick in yet?

Am I the only person that believes that was the Sheriff, Deputy, Patrick in bed AND Patrick's niece NOT the Sheriff's wife?
I also think it was his niece

Benard actor is the same guy in shawshank redemption. The one who escaped.

That’s Tim Robbins. He is a legend:)
Bernard actor is the same guy in shawshank redemption. The one who got poked in the shitter.
