I have an AOP in my 780, so UV and Ozone. Plus you can toss a bromine tab in that slot over by filter. Not sure i'd gain much from this. Pretty easy to maintain tub as it is. What is it about bromine that you don't favor?
Good afternoon, it's a personal preference. Here's a video explaining the differences between the two. I like Chlorine mainly because it's fast acting. Here's a link to the video; th-cam.com/video/-YvGIanu3Ts/w-d-xo.html
The slot you're using is for a silver ion cartridge called SunPurity. I think if you continue to use it as a chemical floater you'll corrode the skimmer weir and it will need to be replaced but that's up to you of course. Hope this helps!
“ Insert the SunPurity Silver Ion mineral cartridge into the bromine dispenser of your Sundance spa filter area & the silver ions are released automatically reducing your need for chlorine! Simply replace your cartridge every 3-4 months.” Hmm. Idk why they call it a bromine dispenser then that you can put it in. Weird.
Another reference “ An alternative to chlorine when used in combination with MPS (monopersulfate), the SunPurity cartridge fits into the bromine dispenser of the filter bays of 880 and 780 Series hot tubs. It reduces the potential for unpleasant odors and residue lines, and can be used with your hot tub ozone system. Lasts up to four months. ”
If I switch over from granular chlorine/renew to this system, do I need to change my filtration cycle to 24 hours? Currently, it runs 12 hours a day and our water is great.
Good morning, this depends on how much you use it. The more filtration you have the more chlorine you’re going to receive. Remember, it’s when water passes by the cartridges when the system is most effective. Hope this helps!
Good evening, Unfortunately I don’t think it will be available in the UK. I would talk to your local dealership and ask. The system is made by @ease. They do have a floater system out there anyone can use but you wouldn’t receive the full benefit as this has a special design to maintain Chlorine levels extremely low. The cartridges are custom as well as their position being apart of the circulation system. A programmable 24hr circulation pump is key to the success. Either way I doubt it’s available in the UK. Hope this helps!
Just a heads up, even with this system or any @ease system you still need to throw in a tablespoon of chlorinated granules after using your spa. If you use it how this guy is talking about your water will turn green and cloudy fast. The way he explains it works best if you use your spa once a week. If you use it every day and especially with multiple people you will need chlorinated granules after use to keep your water clear.
So what is the point because about the ONLY thing I have been doing for the last 15 years with our Jacuzzi J-370 is to simply toss some chlorine in after each use. Sometimes that is once a week while other times that might be once a month. I DID try out nature 2 when it first came out. Tried out a few other systems as well but nothing seems to work as well as the ozonator and a few caps of chlorine each use. I am watching this videos because I am weighing a Sundance Cameo vs. a Caldera Geneva with it's salt system
@N-Da-Bunka that really is the best way of maintaining the water. Chlorinated granules after use of spaa kills bacteria immediately at that moment not allowing it to grow and turn your water cloudy and green. Salt system is nice because it produces Chlorine from salt but sometimes the hardware goes faulty and it says you have too much salt in your water and turns off the salt system. Even if you have the correct amount of salt. You also have to buy salt cells and change them every 4 months. The salt cells cost like 300 bucks for a 3 pack. When the salt system works well it definitely works but the faulty hardware might become a headache at some point. Again I've seen people never have problems with their salt system. Hit or miss really.
Good afternoon, As long as it was manufactuered after May 15th you'll have the Frog @ease Sundance system. I would double check with your dealer to find out when the model was manufactuered but most likely, yes. Hope this helps!
Good morning, the system has pre-measured shock packets that you add once a month. You can purchase these at any Sundance dealer. Due to the set up of the system and the type of Chlorine used, you don’t need nearly as much Oxidizer as you would need in most hot tubs. Here and there during heavy use months you may want to consider adding an additional packet or a few of extra tablespoons. This may help with water clarity. Hope this helps!
Good afternoon, yes, that is correct. We have numerous hot tubs on the floor full of water with this system and we don't cover them and we never smell the Chlorine. In my opinion, it's one of the biggest benefits to this system. Hope this helps!
@@atlantahottubcenter Does it ship with the Hot tub or do you need to order it? I just received a 780 Hamilton. If so how can I get the part number to order?
@@patgriggs4372 Good evening, all 780 series and above 2021 models come with the bracket so make sure you weren’t supposed to have one installed. Furthermore, you can order the bracket and cartridges after the fact from your dealer. The bracket will retro back approximately 15 years depending on model and series. Hope this helps!
@@atlantahottubcenter Thank you, our dealer lost the Sundance line while our 780 was on backorder. So I'm having trouble getting accurate information and now supplies. Grrr
@@patgriggs4372 Good afternoon, supply chains have delayed hot tubs over the past year but the system is available and is factory installed on all 2021 models. However, your dealer can order you one if your tun didn’t come with it. Hope this helps!
