    I'm right now considering a used laptop like this (HP ZBOOK 14 G2 with i7 processor and 16gb RAM) and I really appreciate this video. I'm the kind of person who loves laptops the way "only a mother could love". I mean, I like different things about laptops than other people like about theirs. I appreciate the honest review because I wanna know the bad and the good.

    Hey, thanks for your frank review. Can you tell me how is the performance for heavy MS Office work?

    Hello ! I would like to ask you if you are satisfied with the way this laptop works. For example, you have found that it crashes when running software such as Office, 5 or 6 tabs open simultaneously, etc. I wonder if this is because from the reviews on the net I noticed that it has a rather weak CPU.

      You must be thinking about a different laptop. this was a high end Ultrabook workstation when it was released, costing in excess of $2000 with dedicated graphics. up to 16gb of ram and a core i7 processor.

    Hiya,
    would appreciate a response as soon as you can. Investing into a the G2 for my mum who struggling with eye strain from her current laptop. Unfortunately being a student I do not have a-lot of money so wanted to buy a laptop under £400. Is it worth buying this despite being a 2014 used model (7 years old) and does it do eye strain. Will mainly be used to open word and other documents and to teach through skype. My brother may play the occasional basic game like minecraft because she usually lets him. Finally is it worth it at the £300 price, I7 1080 model with no battery (planning to buy one too).
    Thanks.

      prices outside of the US I cannot speak to, they very wildly, that price seems a bit high to me, as they can be had for ~$250. But again, prices in the US =/= prices outside the US, so you will have to do your own research on if that is a good deal or not.
      As far as gaming, I wouldn't buy it specifically for gaming, but it will run games like minecraft OK. Especially if you install an optimizer for minecraft like optifine. the graphics card, if it has the dedicated one is meant more for running multiple monitors and high resolutions, but not necessarily gaming.
      For eye strain. I am not a doctor. I do not know what is causing her eye strain. Probably needs special glasses or have better posture or to reduce the total time spend on a computer. I personally use glasses that are tinted amber, and a 32" monitor if I am going to be using a computer for any length of time. But that is because I work on a computer sometimes 12+ hours a day, and have spoken to my eye doctor about ways to reduce eye strain for me while working on a computer.

      @@AICvideo thanks ever so much! The main thing I'm worried about is it lasting to be honest which is why I asked about it being 7 years old. If it can last and do basic tasks for another 2-3 years I'm more than happy to buy.

    i found this laptop broken for like 20 dollars and i will probably be able to repair it, would it be worth it and would it be possible to get some profit when i sell it afterwards?

    • @AICvideo
      @AICvideo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on what it takes to fix. They sell for north of $150 up to $300 depending on options and condition. So if you can spend just a few bucks, get it fixed up, you could probably turn a profit on it.

    What about zbook 14u g5?

    • @AICvideo
      @AICvideo  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never tested it, but I am not a fan of the redesign. I don't like that type of touch pad (though just about everybody uses it now). They got rid of the bang and olfsen speakers, etc. I'm sure performance wise it's fine, but it's the small things that matter to me.

    Hi! Hp zbook 14u g4 it s compatible with nmve pcle? Thx !

    • @AICvideo
      @AICvideo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No idea, I would check HP’s support page.

    • @Christian-tc4sb
      @Christian-tc4sb 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it's compatible but officially HP does not have any NVMe driver loaded into UEFI; if you want to use an NVMe SSD you have to do some workaround that consist creating a custom boot sequence (you may need at least 1 additional drive either SATA SSD or HDD) to load NVMe driver using EFI shell, then once loaded just launch the boot.efi file from windows in the SSD and then you would have windows booting from NMVe.
      I did that a couple months ago but it was kind of tedious doing that process each time that I needed a clean installof windows.
      Also consider that the laptop's M.2 port only has a PCIe 2.0 X2 but I was able to run a Sabrent Rocket Nano SSD using PCIe.
