A lot of potential here. Thanks for all the demos. I think we shouldn’t take all this AI too seriously at this point, it seems a bit experimental.
Thanks Dave, very interesting. Firefly is getting better and better and it's a lot of fun to experiment with it. However, and I've been trying in vain since version 1, it's not at all possible to create a relatively realistic image or artwork that shows a saxophone (trumpet ...) player, for example. The results are 99% completely abstruse. No matter whether it's the instrument, the hand position or the position of the mouthpiece when playing. Generally, nothing is correct. Adobe still has a lot of work to do before there are any usable results. On the other hand, the backgrounds that are created in such images (depending on the prompt) are incredibly cool. So I'm practicing patience and hope that my expectations will be fulfilled in one of the next Firefly versions.
Your continuing videos on Firefly sure made understand the new version in Photoshop much easier. Thank you! I did notice that "Photo Settings" is no longer and option on the web version and I didn't find it in Photoshop either. Also, on the web if you switch back to version 2 it is no longer there. Just curious if you knew why. Thanks again.
Great content so much to choose
Any chance that TK will give us a convenient wrapper for this awesome feature?
I love this new update!
This is very cool. AI generated images keeps getting better. I wonder what it will look like in another year. Thanks Dave!
A good update and sure that Tony will update his gen fill panel to bring it into line 🙏
Thanks for all the demos. I'm trying out stylar now, any tutorial regarding?
Thanks, Dave. Another good, informative video. AI is getting pretty wild!
You're a wonderful teacher
Nice...
Thanks for this update Dave. Firefly is looking much better than before. Question: When you use a reference image of your own, do you have to own the copyright to that image? Thank you.
According to the Adobe Firefly Website, when using a reference image, you get this message after you upload it: To use this service, you must have the rights to use any third-party images, and your upload history will be stored as thumbnails. I would assume this applies to reference images for Firefly in Photoshop. I would reach out to Adobe to find out for sure.
WOW I'm blown away!
It is pretty cool.
Thanks - very helpful !
but now i can't have the generative fill interact with MY IMAGE by going the quick mask, filling with a percent of gray, leaving quick, put in my prompt and watch the generative fill INTERACT with MY IMAGE. I SHURE HOPE ADOBE DOES NOT TAKE AWAY THIS FEATURE as they have with the Beta version
What would anyone need with this type of program? Have we lost all creativity?
Thanks for this update! My contextual tool bar only shows the option to import not generate.. Is that an indicator my computer doesn’t have the capability, or is there something else I can do to activate the ‘generate’ function?
Thanks!
I'm not sure. I would reach out to Adobe support.
Thanks for the fast response
Thank you . A question
When you expanded the landscape and left the text box blank .
It appears to me that PS must be using the existing information in the image …not using information from elsewhere . I say that because the result is so similar to the rest of the image .
What is your opinion on that please?
Thank you .
Graham that is the way it works, taking the image into account.
@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly thanks …I asked because at my Camera Club they have banned the use of Generative Fill and Generative expand . I argued that the ban should be worded “text based generative fill / expand “ . They do not accept ( or under perhaps) that without text GF and GFE are using existing information …and that is the same as clone / patch / content aware fill and so on .
My TK plugins will not install in the latest Ps Beta says the .cxx files are not compatible. Used CCDesktop & independent UXP installers all report no compatible Adobe app. Any ideas to fix this?
They work in my Photoshop beta. Please contact Tony Kuyper and he should be able to help you.
@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly thanks
Dave - I know you want to keep us up with the latest. But these aren't photographs. While for commercial purposes, this is fine, I wouldn't pass this off as my fine art photography.
I get it David. But it's lot's of fun and as Bob Dylan says "The times they are a changin'" It's just fun to watch Photoshop evolve.
