    Steven Lambert sounds like a stand up guy, and tough as well. About Jean Claude, being frustrated once he was rejected, and it's sad that he had a cocaine addiction. Wish Van Damme could talk about it today (Since he is clean, and more mature). Thanks for sharing your talk with Steven Lambert.

  • @democolor42
    @democolor42 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I am one of them who got huge respect for Jean Claud Van Damme's talent, skills and charisma. No matter how much others talk and question if he is a real fighter or not, the fact is that Nobody can do the most difficult fierce fight scenes with such mastery, accuracy and show bsilliant skills, so masterfully that he made all of them classic. That's why he became Van Damme and others were not able to come even close to him in the movie industry and if a man is not real professional fighter, no tutoring and jim excersices will help. They can hire all ballerons from the leading opera theatres in the world and train them, non of them will be able to do that. They also can hire all Karate kickboxing fighters and they will not be able to fight with such accuracy, speed and grace which makes JCVD's fights classic, how to say, the way I see it fierce fight carried out with aristocratic refinement. But after hearing Mr Steven Lambert, I kind of do not know what to say! Van Damme must be grateful that Steven Lambert did not sue him because what he did is very bad. Mr Lambert is a Colleague who trusted him to do his job with responsibility and suddenly he caused injury and bleeded the man when he did not ecpect at all. That is highly unprofessional. Mr Steven Lambert deserves big credit for not suing him. Hope he appreciates that, If Van Damme went later and apologize for what he did, that would have made him look a little better!

    Yeah unfortunately he had the same behaviour on the set of Street Fighter. I am in the biggest JC fan and these where the last days of his success due to his cocaine addiction. I think I heard about this way back when I was a kid. I was on a road trip with my mom and a friend of hers. My mom knew how much of a Van Damme fan I was and I think she mentioned it to her friend(because he was making a new movie at the time) and my moms friend said something like *well it’s ok to like his movies but don’t go idolizing the man. Another great video, I have heard stories of Van Damme getting a little rough with stuntmen and costars all the way back to No Retreat No Surrender. When you hear stories about this type of thing it makes you respect stuntmen even more, they truly deserve their own category at the Oscars!
    Would love to see a movie breakdown of Time Cop, it’s a good flick with some great action. Also Desert Heat; it’s one of his lesser known movies but it has a good story, and great performances from Danny Trejo, Pat Morita and Van Damme himself.

    Problem with some of these stars is they get so big and so popular that their egos grow the same rate and same size. They don’t realize that they are their own downfall. As other more popular actor show up people like Van Damme just disappear. They’re not needed. Especially as their box office drawl starts to diminish. I think Van Damme Learned a very valuable lesson now. He seems to be more humble and a lot more grown-up.

Jean Claude Van Damme seems like a cool guy, liked by many, many actors and Martial Artists have said good things about the man, but there has to be some kind of unfortunate moment.😂None of us want to get on Vam Damme's bad side, that just doesn't seem like a good idea, if you want to lead a healthy lifestyle. Or being an absolute nightmare to work with in Street Fighter. Being a coke addict, cheating on his woman, being a huge reason why Street Fighter was poorly made etc. JCVD looks even worse when you know Raul Julia, had cancer and was having health problems, but he pushed through during the shooting of ‘Street Fighter’ to make his children happy. Even when JCVD was being a sh*tbag.

    Although I must say I'm watching it with mixed emotions. It's funny and sad at the same time. It's funny cause it's always great to learn some facts behind the screen. But it's sad because you also learn that some of people you admire or even idolize are not what you thought they would be. Of cource, it also depands on your own moral compass how you see some facts, but like I said, it's sad to see when actors you love seemed to lost their moral compass for some reason. And I love both Steven Seagal and JVCD.

    I'm definitely getting that book. Just out of curiosity are you familiar with the epic fight between Busey and Gibson from LW? No beef that I know of and they themselves were not martial artists but four martial artists were brought in to choreograph the fight together. One from capoeira, a judo expert, one of the Gracie six years before ufc1, and a style I never heard of that has been described as prison krav maga which has boxing at its core but with clinch fighting such as knees and headbutts.
    Whether or not you do a video as a student of the arts I think you'd have fun going back and watching that you can easily pick out when and where the techniques of these four unique styles get thrown in.

      I heard about Tyson beating up Wesley Snipes in a bathroom. At a popular restaurant in NY back in the 90s. They had a confrontation about something Snipes said. Tyson approached him by himself in there. Snipes was trying to basically like Fat Joe told Roy Jones Jr. it was just a joke lol. But Iron Mike wasn't having it and clocked him cold.

      @@dtill5322 first of all sorry for my translating from russia to Eanglish.In those years, Chuck Norris, who was looking for an actress for the film, decided to choose Mike Tyson's wife for the role.
      Robin, Mike's wife, did not want to star in the film and Chuck received rejections in his address.
      In the end, Robin agreed to discuss the film with Chuck when they met. She told her bodyguard "T" that he was very straightforward with her and she didn't like it.
      After that, Mike, who found out about this situation, came to Chuck personally, but he was not at home.Then he invited him to his next fight, and finally meeting with him at the evening of the upcoming fight, with a handshake, pulled Chuck to himself, and hit him from the head, after the blow, Chuck fell and Mike announced that he did not approach his wife anymore. , or it won't be good for him.
