In killing floor 2, it seems the design of the music tempo is to represent a more desolated town, whom grandeur is ransacked by freaks roaming the streets.

( there should really be an option in the user interface of the main menu to where players can hit the toggle that says: "Legacy Music" and "Legacy background" how come players are able to choose Legacy health bars but yet they can't choose to edit the background of the main menu or the music? )

I believe you can still get the song by having no internet because when I got home I loaded it and it played this song. Or you reinstall it with the internet still off and it might but I admit it. It made me just keep it on the main screen rather than play it.
By all means, this is still a good track. But it fits better in a more horror esque game. The new one does a much better job at hyping you up for killing zeds. I like both equally, for different reasons, but the new one is more fit for this game now.

The change of main theme is the symbol of Killing Floor 2's change from "Survival Horror Co-op" to "Arcade Action Shooting".
