I’m very new here but the fact that Dr. Rajani actually reads and responds to TH-cam comments tells me so much about his devotion to bringing the best in skin care science to more than just his clinical patients.
I've been to cosmoprof twice as a cosmetic chemist. The company I worked for at that time had a booth. It's so awesome I wish I could go again but I retired at 50 and haven't been back, unfortunately. I still have the original Aquis hair towel and other things! In both my personal and professional experience with Botulism toxin I believe it does more good than harm. Most people wait too late to intervene in the inevitable. Some wanting facelift like effects from botox…well. But like most cosmetic procedures, it is “operator dependent.” Prudence, Assessment, Skill, and Techniques of the “injector” and so on should be weighed before anyone “gets botox.” But limit age? Yes, to some extent. Botox hasn’t been well studied in some of the populations ie adolescents, but I did have a patient that was 14-15 and had hyperhydrosis and could have benefited from botox. I wasn’t comfortable with that even with parental consent. I recommended it though as a treatment for the right provider to perform. I think the better question to ask here is what are the indications for the specific ages. We’re not all aging at the same pace nor are we all maintaining our health in the best of ways. Epigenetics will have a large impact on how you look. The diets and metabolic and hormonal disharmony these younger people are facing is (in my opinion) speeding up their aging process. Botulism toxin has cosmetic and medicinal benefits…it’s a wonderful drug in the right hands for the right reasons. For me getting it cosmetically, on and off, since my 30s has been wonderful but I believe I’d have better anti-aging outcomes had I started earlier. I look at botox as a “prophylactic treatment for aging” by reducing movement, defying gravity, and yea a lil smoothness here and there…but the main reason is to stifle the “appearance” of the aged appearance. For me this is important but an adolescent ehh I’d say no under some/most circumstances. We just need better guidelines and a consensus on treatment.

Is it possible that my red light therapy mask is causing more brown spots? I've been using it for probably 8 months and I don't feel like my skin looks any better. Maybe I'm past the age of any help? I'm 64. I may switch around too m uch too - castor oil sometimes, hyalaronic acid, retinols...maybe i switch around too much

Its like...driving an electric car when the batteries end up in the landfill and of the 50 bombs being dropped a day negates an entire country's green initiatives.
