One of the best songs of all time. It never gets old, clearly shows me how much quality it truly was. Only a handful of groups I would like to go back in time and listen and Pink Floyd is just one of them. I wish I was able to listen the Pink Floyd while it was active.
This album came out at a dark time in my life aged 15/16yrs. It was a life-saver - held me together for my school years. Always appreciating what musicians can do to heal the soul since.

Every other Sunday morning at 7am dad put this album on the record player and go from start to finish. Mom had the other Sundays and played good music but this was a staple of my life for most of the 80s.
Years ago I had a mate with a drum kit, I had a guitar, and was giving some lessons to the young guy down the road. None of us had ever played on a stage before. The 3 of us started playing this song, loud. We didn't have any vocals setup, but we had a kind of "Everyone just walks into my house" type house. When we got up to the vocals in part 2, all these people started singing. I looked up, and there were about 15 people in my loungeroom, who had all drifted in when they heard us playing. Sounded so much like the second chorus. Bought a tear to my eye.
