I choose to believe that Ash was telling all the movies to Ted Raimi in S-Mart at the end of AOD over a few sessions. Ash is a really bad narrator so he just gets alot of the details wrong.
I have to say that "Ash Vs. Evil Dead" was 100% proof that a series can be completely made for the hardcore fan-service and still be a great watch that newbies can enjoy. It was seriously one of the only addendum series that leaned into the main tropes of it's own absurdity that didn't seem patronizing or unwanted. Bruce Campbell (which is also the name of one of my teachers in high school that we fucked with A LOT) is nothing short of an absolute legend who seems to have been acutely aware of the audience perception and embraced the hell out of it. Some may say that he wasn't serious and that he peaked too early, but i think that's what made him so fun, relatable, and endearing. Watching him play the various Evil Dead & Dead by Daylight games in character is a treasure
In the best universe, Silent Hills wasn’t cancelled, Def Jam Icon was good, MVC Infinite was supported by a much more competent Marvel and received 3 years of DLC and Ash made it into MK11 instead of The Joker.
the cabin being wrecked and then not being wrecked is something I never noticed somehow despite binging the moves and then the show multiple times, but I can believe the Necronomicon can distort reality in some sort of way that screws with your perception of the world. thats a reasonable enough explanation for me.
Other alternate names besides The Evil Dead were pitched "These Bitches Be Witches" and "The Evil Dead Man & His Evil Dead Wife" were also considered. Another thing to note is that the deleted Evil Dead 2 scenes listed all do exist and some in different versions. The face reforming and Linda puking are still lost.

In a lot of the comics and things it's stated that the Necronomnicon has thrown him back and forth in time and alternate timelines. So it's definitely possible, and I believe correct, that most or all the stories are canon.
