Coagulation of blood/ Clotting of blood

Blood coagulation, also known as blood clotting, is the process of forming a clot to stop bleeding from an injured blood vessel. It's a vital part of the body's healing process. Platelets (a type of blood cell) and proteins in our plasma (the liquid part of blood) work together to stop the bleeding by forming a clot over the injury.
