Blood Groups in Human Beings
In this video, Antigens which determine the blood groups i.e., antigen A, B and D are taken in detail.
A person's blood group is determined by the presence or absence of certain antigens on their red blood cells. These antigens are inherited from a person's parents.
Blood group types
A: A blood group that contains A antigens on the red blood cells
B: A blood group that contains B antigens on the red blood cells
AB: A blood group that contains both A and B antigens on the red blood cells
O: A blood group that contains neither A nor B antigens on the red blood cells
Rh factor
RhD positive: A blood group that contains the RhD antigen on the red blood cells
RhD negative: A blood group that does not contain the RhD antigen on the red blood cells
