I have a Schuyler and Cambridge and this one you are reviewing (single column NKJV) is by far my favorite!
Me to , I like this layout much better than the Clarion and the NKJV comfort print for me is much better than Schuylers Milo font.

@@Airik1111bibles I know right?!? The Clarion I found the single column to be way too wide. I much prefer the "Column-and-a-half" approach in this Nelson!

My NKJV Thinline came yesterday and you’re right for the price I am blown away! That leather is the softest I have ever felt on a Bible!
That's what I'm talking about brother! Super excited that you dig it. It kind of makes you look at your $200 bibles and think hummmm what am I really getting for $120 more? 😂
I see a reluctant group out there that's not warming up to these Nelson bibles almost like they must find things wrong to justify the $200 they spent on their Allan or Cambridge ROFL😂 I totally get it ....There is a difference , BUT its very small .

Airik1111 I find myself struggling with which one I like to pick up more. I think I still prefer the Schuyler but not by that much 😂 I will definitely be picking up some more of these for myself and others
@@joelfields9807 I like having a spine without hubs, its a nice change and allows the bible to fold in and back if you decide to do so. They grow on ya brother ....the NIV I reviewed is one of the finest bibles I've ever held, I'm not a NIV fan but boy its nice.

Wow beautiful paper, print and binding that is a home run I wish Nelson would do a kjv in that format!
Arron at A Faith To Walk Ministries reviewed the thinline KJV premier and the font is gorgeous! These Neslson bibles have me hooked.
See I love the font of their kjv line I’m just not the biggest fan of the layout and book intros and all that haha. But they are doing an amazing job.
@@BibleFanatics Yes they are a bit to modern....also they waste space. They could add dates and a small intro with all that emptiness I totally get ya. Still I think they are moving with the times, we KJV oldschool text loving junkies are stubborn folk LOL....I love the Turquoise style fonts myself and the Longprimer, but its nice to try something new once in awhile.
Man brother your new channel name keeps getting me confused with Bible Fandom's name ....But he changed his thumbnail which is a huge help! cause ya both had yellow and it made it worse for me 😂LOL

The thin lines look awesome , good choice....Since you have premium experience you're going to be shocked, these bibles are such a great deal.
I'm not saying they are Allan quality but compared to my thinline Longprimer from Charfleet , these are better esp paper and print.

Love the thick size. So enjoy reading this bible with its smooth and easy on the eyes feel. Something about the red against the black, just as you mentioned in the review. Also, along with the red headings, gives it a sharp look. Never did I think TN would come out with something like this.
That leather also has such a great feel.

Exactly! The red makes the text so much warmer to look at, plus the non ribbed spine IMHO gives these bibles a very unique feel.
They took a risk not adding ribs and I think it paid off, once people start to use these I know they will like that comfy cover. Taking a chance with design is awesome and I can look past the little things like the gold wording not being pressed in cause its something new. Nelson is going to push this market into healthy competition, I can't wait to see Holman start answering back with their own new premiums.

I bought this NKJV in hardback and I really like it. I hope Nelson publishes a verse-by-verse, twin text column NKJV in comfort print, with either center column or outside column references (and with the words of Christ in black, as in this edition).
I have this same layout in a budget edition and a smaller one like yours in the hardback gray cloth cover. The little hardback is great, my daughter fell in love with it instantly so she's getting another one . The Schuyler text just doesn't grab me at all, also its a work of art but mainly I just look at it and then put it back in the box. These new Nelson want to be read just like my NASB R1 Allan I can't put that one away.
I have the new NKJV Preacher vs by vs to review , its a good size font and easy to read. I am a bit puzzled by some of the design choices but still its a another win for Nelson.

This is one of my two current preaching Bibles. The other is the Omega ESV and honestly they are both comparable quality. Love this NKJV!

the NIV is blue and kjv is red?
What I would love to see is this Bible having blue under gold art gilding, like the Schuyler Quentel NKJV has. That's just me, tho. I would really like to know if I can write in this Bible, will it show through, will it damage it...
Oops I commented thinking this was the bible I reviewed today sorry.... I haven't underlined in this one yet BUT I do know what paper it is after comparing bibles its definitely 36 gsm Indopaque class paper. The density under the light is the same as my Cambridge Turquoise but I think this is a bit better opacity. It has no pore holes at all very solid under light so I know microns will work great.
I think this paper is some of the best I've seen on other bibles...its very nice.😉

This looks like a great Bible, but, I am being picky here, it is in paragraph form. That is becoming more of a turn off for me. If you are going to use this Bible just as a reading Bible then the paragraph form would be great. But to study from and write in then I couldn't use it. That's just my opinion. Great review. Great video.
I used not like them either brother totally agree, but using it has changed my opinion a bit. I do have a vs by vs NKJV to review that's exactly my cup of tea its very cool you will dig it.

I am looking to do a trade... I have a Green goatskin NKJV Thompson Chain that was done by I think Leonards. Nice bible but I just don't use it being I use KJV.
The only kJV bibles i have worthy of trading for that were all gifts and staying with me but man that bible sounds awesome .

Looks like a very nice bible.... if only it were verse by verse. Very few publishers offer verse by verse and/or black letter text. Verse by verse makes it easy to find stuff - especially when tesching. I was taught a long time ago in Bible College and Seminary to make my own paragraph divisions since the original text had no divisions. (And sometimes the publishers get it wrong. ) As for the text in my opinion ALL the text has equal weight. Printing the words of Jesus in red can be a distraction, lead to misunderstandings, etc. I am not sure why most publishers stopped printing black letter text versions.
Sorry for the rant.... this does look like a very nice bible.

Levi Caddell also, I believe the preaching bible is verse by verse. It is very nice as well.
I have a Vs by Vs preacher bible which is calfskin that needs reviewed but I need to take a bit of time with it and compare with others.
I like to read these review copies for a bit and rough up the covers to check for flaws😉 I agree black letter text needs to at least be an option again.
I'd love to see kirkbride make the KJV Thompson's again in black letter.
