Great video again. The turret cannot rotate on its axis. The window is not centre on the ring mounting. Also it would have to rotate around the fixed ladderwell which services both turrets. Again, this would not work.
I'd be interested to see your improvements for the AT-AT walker from The Empire Strikes Back. After all, it's extremely vulnerable from the back due to it's guns only facing the front.
I'm working on a yt1300 gunship, and I've found the same exact problem. I like your solution, but figuring out how to mount the gun parts without major problems is difficult. Lol, especially for side turrets.
Well my opinion is that, the top turret would face the front so they can attack, and the bottom turret should face the back to destroy dog fighting the falcon, but If they are gonna remake the movies, they should have a terminal so R2 can pilot the other turret, Can't survive without an astromech am I right?
They should do it as I suggest here :) So stupid these turrets have a dead angle to the rear and to fix that you have to rotate thhis whole 12 feet disc. Having a computer control the guns is no option, you still want to have the fun for yourself! 🙂
And hey you forgot to tell us how the turret turns left or right, is it 90 degrees, or a 360. Loop depending on how your aiming the turret when tie fighters are trying to avoid the turrets range.
Has anyone thought about that also the antenna is in the way? It would be funny to see it damaged like the tail of the plane in Indiana Jones 😅. Luke what happend.... Ahm we got hit.
