      To be fair spite weighs as much as 2 yammies. Also, yammie got much more experience hooning around on the powerful sportbikes. The reason it seems to be closer than it should is because of the rider difference.

    • @rusipathan
      @rusipathan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indian pulls okay but reality is that MT-09 is actually not that fast at all. You only feel fast due to its weak frame/suspension and lighter front end.

    • @Fearless154
      @Fearless154 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rusipathan MT09 accelerating is actually insane up to 100mph. The engine is very overpowered for what it is. MT09 can easily make superbikes to run for their money on the drag strip. But yes on the highway it's not that fast.

    I prefer the comfort and looks of cruisers (and practicality,if you put the saddlebags on),and while speed isn't what I'm looking for I do also appreciate what sports bikes offer. Since I can barely afford one bike,I have a cruiser,but if I had a lot of money,I'd also buy an old CBR400RR in mint condition and occassionally take it on the track,maybe some dual sport for riding in the local woods too.

    I had always heard about how comfortable cruisers were but personally I don't find that to be the case. Everyone goes on about how the upright feet forward stance is comfortable but for me it just translates every bump right into my spine. The result is a long day on a cruiser is a painful one for me. A sportier riding position keeps my weight on my legs and impacts off my spine. Even most naked bikes are too upright for me.

    For me cruisers defeat my style of riding. I would rather just take my car if it gets that pace. It's just not why I ride. I might consider something in the middle tho since I am close to 50 but I feel like I still have some spirited riding left. Nothing against cruiser riders but for me it just doesn't work.

      "cruisers" is a very broad catch all that really doesn't exemplify how many options and styles there...

    • @ChrisPBacon9
      @ChrisPBacon9 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's how i feel about the huge touring bikes like the goldwing. If you need that much fairing blocking the wind, that much cargo space and that much comfort, just get a convertible, you look dorky af either way

    • @m3talc0re
      @m3talc0re 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The HD Street Bob and Low Rider S, the Vulcan S, Bolt, Sportsters, etc.. There are a lot of "cruisers" that aren't big baggers that you can still very readily do some spirited riding on.

      Well the big behemoths with trunks and windscreens are a bit much, but lighter ones are still a lot of fun. Feel if egos were set aside most people would enjoy most classes of bike.
