I remember those voices from my sunday football memories as a kid. I remember the game commentators too! I still have an appreciation for Bob Costas, and his (my opinion) undervalued contribution to football in the 80s

I miss NFL live, Costas, and the John Tesh theme music.

Too bad when Bob Costas actually left NBC in 2018 he didn’t get a lengthy tribute and a chance to say goodbye. But this is good enough I guess.
4:16 I first saw it on one of Bob’s appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. This video has probably the earliest appearance of Bob Costas on NBC: th-cam.com/video/e9VJZ21Z8co/w-d-xo.html. You can find it at :55 mark of the video. It’s Bob in an NBC (no peacock) red blazer, no glasses and speaking Japanese
    4:27 with the Fumble-Mumble-Gumbel.
    2:17 Ahmad’s proposal
    2:47 Costas and Mr.T.

I haven't forgotten about Game 3 of the 75 series. The approval for posting it ran into a longer roadblock than I was expecting.

OJ was a pretty decent star of network television back then. Not only was he NBC’s nfl show in house jock, he had a spot on an HBO program for a bit, he did commercial spots for hertz rentals i believe. OJ was doing quite well for a guy that terrorized his wife and seems to have been a completely different person off camera.
