Wonder how well that motor preforms in a 585 pound hull compared to the similar engine setup in the 375 pound superjet? Dry weight with motor. What a beautiful looking ski! Do they share the same pump?
I had a stock 2021 EX for awhile, the motor feels quite torquey down low, falls off up top and goes 50mph. But it was a fun ski, I liked how fuel efficient and reliable it was. Performed well given the hull and engine size I thought.
I've got a '23 Jetblaster (same EX hull design, but made from Nanoxcel 2 so it's 70ish lbs lighter, also it's the TR-1 HO instead of the regular TR-1) and the engine has plenty of pep. Coming off a 2018 VXR, I really can't complain. Yeah I lost about 8mph top speed, but that's about all.
I've just now found your channel thanks to the crazy algorithm. Is the EX just a smaller version of the VX? I'm looking to buy my first ski (but have ridden them my whole life) and the big thing I want to do with it is the "crossing" from Miami or West Palm to Bimini or Freeport in the Bahamas. So I'm looking for reliability. Also I know the VX has the larger fuel tank but I'd like to know if the EX is fuel efficient enough to make up for having a smaller tank.
Thanks for watching. The EX is a smaller entry level ski that was meant to compete with the SeaDoo Spark. They have the TR1 1050 engine, and are an excellent platform.
What’s the speed difference from a stock TR1 engine? About 5 mph maybe right? I race a little and I have no engine mods but I have some handling parts.
Buying one with 11 hours only freswater but owners wont let me test drive before buying due to our salt waters anything i need to know before purchasing ty
Thanks! Even though I'm mainly a super jet guy, nice to see something different as well!
Thanks John!! Appreciate you watching.
Thanks John

Nice set up .

Hello nice videos. Do you sell this special impeller? And do you have any testing with impellers for the jet blaster? Thanks 👍

Odd question, could you tell me what the pitch of the stock impeller is?

Do you have to replace the intake manifold gaskets when doing the ribbon delete my skis got about 70 hours on it
No, they ate an o-ring type gasket
How much of a gain are you seeing on the TR1 with an E85 vs 93 octane tune?
Thanks for watching. Please reach out to us at the shop to discuss tunes
What class does this race in ? Rec lite ?

If they won't let you ride it, ask if they can ride it in front of you, and show you everything works as it should.
@watercrafttalk2738 I bought it and it's amazing they just didn't want salt was freshwater only
