My top 5 be Reeve Superman, Red Hood black and white variant, Batman Manga, knightfall Bane, and Batman Noel. Page punchers Robin I'd put just out of my top 5
So cool! Love your take on all these! There were some classics, so since I am generally excited about what I did get, I am just upbeat about the direction they've taken this last year. Good calls by the way. Good solid personal top 20.
Very good list! My top 10 were: 1) Chris Reeve Superman, 2) Batman Knightfall Black Variant and 3) Bane By the way, are the gray tones from Batman Silver Age and Batman Knightfall Black Variant a match? The fact they reuse the body so much allows for customization, but the different tones of gray McFarlane uses (like the Dick Grayson Batman vs Knightfall) makes it really frustrating. Happy 2025! Keep up the great work!
@@dHuntersReviews Cool, we all have our personal faves. All I know is he made me lol when I was young. You I'm sure have fond memories of other characters.
Great selection!! Only problem I have with Page Punchers Robin are his inaccurate boots. Which they turned into small sneakers to more easily reuse the Infinite Frontier body. But even with that issue he's still pretty damn good, just not perfect. Considering all of that it was tough to decide who'd be my top choice between WW, Dick Batman and Reeve Superman. Will you make a top 10/20 of every company this time too? The Fondjoy figs need their recognition!
Good list. I like that Damian alot, as well. I hope they release a Red Robin with the full black cowl that covers his whole head. I have the 6” version from Mattel but this line needs it, now. They already released two different Red Robins, so I’d think it was simply a matter of time.
I would've snatched up the Reeve Superman but found the body to be horrible, but the likeness is great. I've only the Huntress and Cyborg as above, otherwise my collection is more Superman-centric with near 90 figures so far. I wish McFarlane gave more of a damn about scaling and detail though, but I've learned to accept that no matter who releases such figures, the concerns and wishes of the collectors and fans don't hold too much weight, you just have to find the joy in collecting what you enjoy most.
Nice top 10. Got every one except Darkseid and the Green Lanterns. The Question and the False God Superman are my surprise Platinum finds of the year. My overall favorite is the regular release armored Batfleck. I was disappointed in their BvS and Knightmare versions for a variety of reasons but they didn't strike out completely. The size, details, and wired cape puts Armored Batfleck at the top for me. Following I would have to say the standard Reeve Superman, Platinum Sky Dive Batman, Anne Hathaway Catwoman ( I'll cheat by counting both releases as one), and Batman Forever Robin as my top 5 of 2024. I'm excited to see McFarlane go further with the live action stuff in 2025 as that is what got me into the line.
Great top 20! I think I bought more McFarlane DC Multiverse figures in 2024 than I did in 2020-2023 put together. The lazy reuse continues to keep this line from being as great as I think it could be and should be, but this year, the good definitely outweighed ghee the bad with some inspired character choices and some real home runs. The Platinum Huntress is my favorite. That version works so much better with the base body than the new 52 version does. The Spectre is a close 2nd. Batman and Robin Reborn are tied for 3rd.
Wow! The Penguin didn't even make your Top 20??! Mind blown. Personally I think he's the best looking and most comic accurate classic Penguin they've ever made in figure form. We have very different Top 10 lists. LOL. The only figures on my Top 10 list that are on yours are The Question and Wonder Woman. In fact, half of my Top 10 didn't even make your Top 20. My list is: 1. Batman (Batman/Spawn Platinum), 2. Wonder Woman (standard), 3. Penguin, 4. The Question, 5. Bane (2-pack), 6. Shazam, 7. Joker (Digital Silver-Age), 8. Hal Jordan Green Lantern (Digital Silver-Age), 9. Sportsmaster (Platinum), 10. Mr. Zsasz, and Best BAF - Plastic Man.
@@dHuntersReviews Yeah, I could easily do a Top-20. It was really tough narrowing things down to just 10. And I'm still not 100% sure about it. I hated to leave off Ragman, Geo-Force, Jonah Hex, Sgt. Rock, Darkseid, Green Arrow (Longbow Hunter), The Spectre, COIE Earth 2 Superman, Red Hood (Joker), Starfire, etc. Whew! Just so many great figures this past year.
It’s hard to choose. I would from not just the dc multiverse. Adam west Batman, armored Batman, Guile from Street Fighter, ghost of krypton wave, Nosferatu from Neca, Cassandra Cain batgirl, black kkrsantan from Star Wars, btas JokerMobile, penguin in superpowers color scheme, Mr freeze, doomsday, Goku Vegeta and picola from Dragonball z, Frankenstein’s creature from the four horsemen Figura Obscura, two face and riddler, classic she hulk from marvel,Jonah hex and the general, rebirth cyborg, biker mice from mars. Those are my top figures of 2024.
The Shazam I preordered hasn't shipped yet, so he'll be a 2025 release for me. He'll be in my top 10 then, although I'm predicting that the Max Fleischer Superman will be number 1.
Great review! I like McFarlane’s big guys. If it’s a deluxe figure it’s usually pretty good. But I have really soured on McFarlane and can’t wait for the license to go to Jada Toys. He rarely scales his figures. Female figures are the same size as males. But worse is his chase figures. I feel like he trolls collectors. He had it right originally. The chase figures that were all gold or all silver. I have all those and they were fun to chase. But now he puts important characters as chase figures. All those stupid glow in the dark or joker gas figures should be chase figures and not peg warmers. But I just paid $70 to get the chase green lantern, blue lantern kyle is $130. I love the lantern corps and it sucks a lot that they are impossible to get. The same with the Spectre, Psycho Pirate wave was impossible to get. Stop making essential figures hard to get and make the stupid glow in the dark & different painted figures the chase.
@@theeanonymouscollector2932 he isn’t trolling people I got blue Kyle for $20 when it was out I’ve gotten every figure for retail besides some platinums Love this line
@ since 2022, I have not seen one chase figure in the wild. I am in central texas and have a lot of scalpers here. I am 100% okay with missing a wave bc it’s so popular and everyone wanted one. But all 5 targets and Walmarts I go to are full of jokerized figures and flashes, those should be chase figures not figures essential to a collection. If you miss it, it sucks but not needed for the collection. But $160+ to complete the Green Lantern 4 set sucks. He obviously wants marvel. I pray they don’t let him touch the mainline. But he doesn’t care about DC, he’s 100% dicking with collectors.

Great picks, I really liked the Superman 1978, Bane and Armored Batman. I realized recently they updated the Knightfall body mold giving a more appropriate butterfly cut. Definitely great figures released this year. I'm actually expecting a lot of reuses with cloth capes this year, hopefully they will add some cool new stuff.
