€140k for the this model in Ireland due to our stupid tax system. €70k for the commercial version. Madness.
and where will you be using it to its full potential, m50, local roads in kerry, vote sinn fein maybe theyll drop the tax 😂, but even if the market is so small that selection will not improve, lets face it, the idiots that voted for brexit killed the imports to IRE and thus the selection is what it is…
One of the best and engaging reviews I have seen for ages, thank you. Toyota’s emphasis on practical off roading rather than luxury is spot on. It is definitely worth the €100k as specced here. The use case in Europe is perhaps wider than AJ suggests. I live on a small farm in the Welsh Marches and in Wales itself there is plenty of terrain where you need the full off road. We also get messy winters and really need what this car can do. I would say this does the job of the original 1970s Range Rover - a working vehicle which can also do smooth road trips. What is missing in the market at the moment is something which does the original job of the old Land Rover defenders. It needs to be a much smaller vehicle which can do off road and does not have too fancy an interior. The closest I have seen in terms of size is the recent Suzuki Vitara, but the interior as reviewed was too fancy to survive rural life as it is lived.
Will be a great comparison video with this Land Cruiser Prado vs the upcoming new 4Runner! (4runner might be the better value and probably will satisfy most drivers)🎉🎉
Not sure if we watched the same video, AJ tested this vehicle on different offroad terrains, different exercises and at different speeds on non-paved roads with gravel, dirt and all that stuff. That's offroad.
I was waiting for these comments, even if you would drive up Mount Everest people would say "my 1998 Fiesta can also do that" 🤣 offroad = not on the road. Most people will do onroad and "normal" offroad = off the road with this and not spend 24/7 in Moab climbing rocks

Wow!!!
sick
£75k in UK. I suspect many 1 year old models will be heading to Ireland next year.

23:08 Is the dashboard really shaking that much if you go over course terrain ?

well said
Buttons, finally good interior without cost cutting, like germans do it
Good work toyota
middle east gonna love this with anti air mounted option
I need this with 35 inch tyres, raised suspension and a snorkel
275/70r18 is the largest I’d go. For my region (alps) I’ll go with 265/70r18 to preserve as much ground-torque as possible.

Excellent presenter👏
Nice review, like a cloned Thomas presentation style 😊
😎👍
Good overview. I think having permanent torsen-baed AWD benefits 90% of customers alot.
cheers !
Good video 👍👍👍
Very expensive.
need V6
You're welcome in morocco ❤️🇲🇦

@@icy_swoosh😂😂😂
Still using the same potato tech for their cameras? Even at this price point? No I’ll go for the defender instead.
> Offroad test
> It's on a road

Toyota is so annoying. On the road it just bings and bongs at everything.
this is not really off road ,it is nothing ,you can drive any cross over in these terrain 😂😂 except when testing the sway bar 😷

Who's this guy?
AJ has been with us for like 10 years now :)
What a disappointing car, they really should’ve spent more time to get it right.
What is not right in your opinion? As a 4x4 user, this is near-perfect to me.
What would have been right?
