@@Civic_Auto The VX Prado with electronic adjustable shocks is incredible-smooth and refined! Not a fan of models with plastic trims; they might fade or discolor in Aussie conditions. Not sure if the black trims and bumpers are painted though.
I think that add blue stuff really put me off 😝
Amazing interior 👌
As a Toyota fan for as long as I can remember, each new model release deflates me just a little more.
They have two diesel engines. One goes in the 300, the other goes into everything.
It's like giving Andre the Giant the heart of a hamster.
Australia is land Cruisers biggest market. So naturally this car was designed first and foremost for America.
Naturally it was released in America and the rest of the world first.
And naturally, Toyota removed the round headlight option and dark brown interior option for us.
I guess they know Aussies would buy anything with the badge.
For the 300 Series, the purposely removed the fold down armrest from the back seat and the automatic wiper feature from the GXL. Which is a $110,000 car that's equipped as well as a 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage that cost $14,000.
Can definitely see what you mean. Unfortunately in Aus we seem to miss out on a lot of features that overseas markets receive.
Try the communist uk market. It’s going to be one option or buy something else
FYI, The stabiliser disconnect is for the front sway bar not the rear.
Edit.
Also, almost everything you said about the AdBlue was incorrect.
How so?
I would consider the Prado only if they bring out a petrol engine. Diesels have too many problems and expense.
IForce hybrid petrol much better in USA and Canada.
There are certainly some positives which you mentioned but personally when I drove the Altitude I found it to be quite unrefined with a 'tinny' feel certainly not as solid as the outgoing 150 series. Not sure if the GXL might drive a little better due to the different suspension.
What’s the fuel economy like ?
Does this use both Ad Blue and DPF?
What is the ride like in the Altitude, it looked like it was jumping around a bit. I took a VXfor a test run and found the ride was more harsh than my 150 GXL
Coming straight from the 150 VX I found the suspension set up to feel softer. In saying that the altitude will likely ride harsher than the VX as the altitude doesn’t receive the adaptive variable suspension.
Vx got electronic adjustable shock absorbers I believe
I drove GXL and it was really bumpy, so bad I've cancelled my order. Highway and town driving was awful.
@@billybob1511 Test drive the Toyota Prado VX With electronic adjustable shocks & 20-inch wheels, its like a boat in Comfort mode.
How many litres/100km were you getting ?
What colour is this called?
It looks great.
This is the dusty bronze colour
We call it Meteor Shower in the US. Funny how the names are different for different countries. I have a 2024 LC, not sure what makes the "Altitude" version different? I love mine! Cheers
How loud is that rear door?? No round lights , one engine only , adblue , hopeless boot space .This Prado that Australia gets is a real disappointment.
need to be a bit more aware man. speeding and touching phone..... annoying yeah, but someone will want to dob and cost you money
Good point. Will keep in mind for future videos
Wow not much body roll like old prado
Commenting on road noise at 60 odd km... Come on... The real test for road noise is 100, 120 etc.
Yes unfortunately the road I was on only went up to 80. Here in Sydney the highest speed limit we’ll have is 110.
@Civic_Auto fair play... Have you watched Topher's review of the US petrol hybrid version? Sure, no diesel in the states but he's owned a previous gen Lexus GX/Prado 150 with a petrol... I think he sums it up quite well, albeit going on TH-cam POV videos, which naturally isn't the same as being behind the wheel yourself!
