I’ve piloted both the 737 and the A320 series. The advantages of more modern technology are very apparent. While the operating differences can be even more significant, from the crew training perspective, as the differences between Chevy and Ford automobiles, once familiar with those differences, the greater functionality of the A320 and A220 is more like the differences between the old rotary telephone and the modern smartphone. So, the A220 should have an even brighter future as an alternative to the now troubled 737. Its use of modern technology solutions has been severely tainted by the MCAS disaster. Proving that band-aide fixes to aged 737 will no longer sustain it into the future. Traditionalists though, those who continue to favor familiarity over innovative change will always exist. Proof is in the fact that the even older DC-3 is still flying in the 21st century.
You are exaggerating when you comparre one to the other as a rotary phone and modern smartphone. It's not that different. The real and major difference between either is the fly by wire LAW of the airbus and the way the thrust levers work. That aside, some pilots prefer airbus, others like Boeing.
I'm kind of surprised Embraer isn't benefiting more from this. I know some of it's varients are held down in the US by seating capacity regulations that are currently in place for commuter jets..sadly.
As a frequent flyer, I actively avoid flights that use the MAX. I am hoping airlines will get the idea that the 737 MAX is an unpopular plane with the flying public and push Boeing to develop a clean sheet replacement. Maybe Boeing will get a the message.
In 2024 Airbus is World leader by far. Do you remember this: New York Times 11 April 1969 « Britain Abandons the European Airbus Project; Believes Building the Plane Is a Losing Proposition. » British 'wisdom'..😂😂 Then France asked Germany if they wanted to continue the A300 project, and signed an agreement 50-50 at 1969 Paris Air Show.
@rod_at_adelaide5766 Airbus was created thanks to France asking Germany to continue the A300 project after UK left in April 1969. Hawker Siddeley decided that despite the UK’s withdrawal from the project, the company would stay in as a sub-contractor. HS invested £35 million in machine tools to build the wings for the A300, but without a German £35 million loan, HS wouldn't have been able to stay in the project. British can thanks Germany for the Airbus plants existing today in the UK. But the real reason why Brits left the A300 project was the BAC 3-11, a wide-body airliner, in a similar class of size, weight, and range, to the A300. During 1969 and 1970, British government-owned airline BEA expressed willingness to operate the 3-11, and several other airlines declared their support for the 3-11, but no orders were placed.. In 1971, BAC decided to abandon the 3-11. By the mid-70s, the A300 had been finalised and had attracted modest but sufficient orders. And today Airbus is world leader, thanks to the French and Germans...

If the rest of the world decides Boeing and/or the US Gov, politicians or FAA are still bullshitting them (as happened at the time of the MAX crashes), then Boeing has no international market. @@TayebMCnot much, in my view , because this is history. Looking ahead, I expect Airbus and Boeing are going to cooperate because their interests are aligned: (1) neither company can alone produce enough aircraft to cover the world’s needs, (2)both want to prevent the Chinese planemaker from making inroads in the aviation market, (3) both tolerate each other better than they would any major non-western manufacturer. So in many ways, Airbus and Boeing need each other and will join forces to preserve their duopoly as long as they possibly can.
Like anything else in life, this takes time and a track record. Max 8s and Max 9s are back flying. Many stay away. They have less occupancy than other aircraft. As the months go by, the bookings increase. More and more say "hmmm, thousands of flights every day in MAX aircraft..." I'm not denying the errors made and it does not make up for those who tragically suffered. When I flew on a MAX 9 recently (on Alaska no less), it was only 3/4 full on a typical busy weekday. But as time goes on, more and more will feel more comfortable. Probably will take another year or two. And no, I don't work in this industry. But I do analyze businesses that run into trouble and how they recover. I do think they will recover the confidence. Just not overnight.
If it's not Boeing, I'm not going. For all the problems with Boeing, they don't have Flight Management Systems that override pilot input, as Airbus, as a friend who has flown nothing but Boeing aircraft for over 30 years says, Scarebus. He know too many A300/A320 family/A330 pilots who have a plane try to do something other than what was input into the controls.
Boeing was/is more focused on enriching its executives & shareholders, versus building a quality product. Boeing put themselves into 2nd place due to their own greed.
I am sick of 'text to speech' apps being used in so many YTs. Many cannot pronounce non-English words or special words. For example, listen to the incorrect phonetic enunciation of Guillaume and Royce in this YT. "Just because you can [use a text to speech app] doesn't mean you should."
Boeing tryed to destroy Bombardier and almost succeeded, it sued them and manadged to ban sales in US for several years. Boeing lost in courts, but for C series it was too late, they run out of money. After that Canadian goverment has find rescue in Airbus, and decided to severe most of relations with Boeing, going from Superhornets to F35 and buying tankers based on Airbus. Boeing burned all the bridges in Canada.
The video was reasonably interesting up to the 7:28 minute mark. WTF was the crap that we had to endure at that point?! You talked about a 737 while showing footage of a 777! You said that a benefit of the 737 are its trusty JT8D engines! This engine was superseded in 1984 with the introduction of the ‘classic’ family of 737s. You said having this engine made it faster and accelerated quicker on take-off! Again, just utter nonsense; acceleration is not a metric that ANY airline considers and the cruise speed of B737 and A320 are very similar, while maximum Mach number are the same. Just utter drivel…
Boeing needs to step up its game with a clean sheet airplane after getting rid of former MD employees..They should make a narrow body 787. That would be fueled by hydrogen that will be757 replacement. Then make a fatter and longer 787 to replace the 747/777x.

Boeing has a long history of dragging out the life of an old bird, and this will contribute to the complete failure of the company. Airbus always looked to invest in newer technologies and continually updated their designs.
Ahhhh this videos is not very accurate, airbus has not launched the A200-500 and the A220 already has composite wings. Airbus has said they will not launch the 500 till the current 100 and 300 variants are profitable.
Boeing needs to buy itself back from Douglas, forget about Airbus, and build a clean sheet next-generation rockstar of a plane: cut out the cancer and move forward with a purpose 👍
Every Airlines Says "GOODBYE" to BOEING 737 MAX and beg for the new AIRBUS A320 ! Oh here's why for my reason like this ? I'm really unhappy with BOEING 737 MAX for Indonesia 😡 because, I need Garuda Indonesia use AIRBUS for BOEING'S replacement to beat Lion air's fleet as I know Lion air is the world's worst airline forever and ever like this.
Americans dont know that, because they dont know that Spain is existing in Europe, because Mexico is speaking Spanish! like they speak American in the USA!
The 737 Max was simply a failure, as the engines are poorly positioned and tend to unbalance the aircraft. And when the systems that allow the plane to balance break down, it can turn into a disaster, especially since Boeing has simply fallen behind Airbus. It doesn't make it look good for Boeing 😂
What a misleading piece of nonsensical opinion. Boeing, will be sitting around with the 737 while Airbus develops new planes? Airbus co-opted the Bombardier C series plane and just did badge engineering. Boeing will be releasing its next-gen planes at the same time with revolutionary wing technology. Finally which airline is "begging" and dumping the 737? JetBlue has never ordered Boeing and so too is Air France they have always favoured Air Bus because the French government has shares in Airbus. Airbus is enjoying a problem-free 4 years since the onset of the 737 problem yet on total sales they have only a 60 units advantage over the 737. What a misleading video. Propaganda? Airbus gives away its planes to for sale while Boeing is harder to get discounts. Go on spread your nonsense.
If Boeing was to go under like a lot of you are saying ( wishing?) . Good luck flying anywhere in the future for your holidays as you won't be able to afford a holiday involving a flight. Why not? Because if 50% of the planes were to stop flying, guess what you won't be flying either. Air fares would triple at least so enjoy your bus or train holiday in your country.

Stay safe folks. Fly Airbus👍

He know too many A300/A320 family/A330 pilots who have a plane try to do something other than what was input into the controls.
thanks for sharing your thoughts
Boeing was/is more focused on enriching its executives & shareholders, versus building a quality product.
Boeing put themselves into 2nd place due to their own greed.
I am sick of 'text to speech' apps being used in so many YTs. Many cannot pronounce non-English words or special words. For example, listen to the incorrect phonetic enunciation of Guillaume and Royce in this YT. "Just because you can [use a text to speech app] doesn't mean you should."
You're showing an A220, not the A320...
yep thanks for your comment
That’s rubbish I know several firms that have just ordered 7 more 737 max 9 you need to do your research better before you make a false video
The man's name is Gee ome, not Gwillamay.
thanks for your feedback
Every airline says goodbye to the 737 max . Who writes this crap .
Boeing's biggest mistake is not to have made a deal to buy the Bombardier C series before Airbus.... the C series could have saved Boeing.
agree
This is typical of AI generated videos.
the thumbnail used the wrong plane
thanks for the feedback
If it's Boeing I'm not going
You just beat me to the line I was going to write!
Wow that was original
Boeing needs to step up its game with a clean sheet airplane after getting rid of former MD employees..They should make a narrow body 787. That would be fueled by hydrogen that will be757 replacement. Then make a fatter and longer 787 to replace the 747/777x.
It's coming
Takes money boeing don't get free taxpayers money like airbus to start any project they want boeing has sell planes first then invest they money back into projects .huge difference
Quality over quantity
that's true
Guile-May? It’s pronounced Gee-ohm Foghey.
thanks for your feedback
How you butchered Guillaume name is unbelievable 😂
Airbus build better planes than boeing
Human narrator? The pronunciation of "Mach" was "match" rather than "mark".
thanks for your feedback, we'll improve it soon
The guy named an A220 an A320 💀
Airbus planes built by proper engineers. Boeing by Yale graduate accountants.😂😂😂😂😂
Hope they focus more on the quality 😅😅
"A320" shows a220 in *thumbail*
Is this "commentator" an AI-voice? I think it is.
Yes I think the pronunciation of Bombardier as "Bomb-a-deer" alludes to that.
For those who don't know:
Boeing made Airbus No they are not enemies they are competitors its pike you and your firend challenging on a build battle so why hate on boeing?
Airbus should make and sell the 320 MAX
0:56 That's a novel pronunciation of "Guillaume".
And "Bombardier". Is this an auto text-to-voice narrator?
Boeing has a long history of dragging out the life of an old bird, and this will contribute to the complete failure of the company. Airbus always looked to invest in newer technologies and continually updated their designs.
thanks for sharing
I’ve seen the video, but this ain’t real news
Ahhhh this videos is not very accurate, airbus has not launched the A200-500 and the A220 already has composite wings. Airbus has said they will not launch the 500 till the current 100 and 300 variants are profitable.

Who still wants to risk their life and that of their family by using Boeing’s flying coffins?
Gwillormay? Ghee-ohme, please! He's French. Get it right, ffs.
CEO Gill-oh-may Fouree? really?
Not gwillamay, Gee one.
I need 737 max,
Did you already made your testament?
....to die?
McDonell Douglas bankrupted itself and Boeing in two decades 😢
The aviation world would be a lot more boring without Boeing. Have it your way and see…
That pronunciation of Guillaume was horrific. 😂 French isn’t Spanish.
Thanks for your feedback ❤
@@FLIGAVIA sorry…but a great vid though 👌
It is GHEE OHME. The Ls are silent.
Americans dont know that, because they dont know that Spain is existing in Europe, because Mexico is speaking Spanish!
like they speak American in the USA!
I love the b 737 max
See, this is what happens when you cut and paste a load of tosh from various sources, don't proof read it yourself but just get A I to read it.
The flying coffin will finally be buried
Airbus rules
The 737 Max was simply a failure, as the engines are poorly positioned and tend to unbalance the aircraft. And when the systems that allow the plane to balance break down, it can turn into a disaster, especially since Boeing has simply fallen behind Airbus. It doesn't make it look good for Boeing 😂
Why is the 737 is going noooo
MC 21 will take 737 place.
Gylome Fawry ? LOL I stopped listening there .
Southwest still going to get the maxs lol not Airbus
that's true
.
✈️
This must be a boot. Clearly don't undesrstand what's reading
you should change ur channel name to “Airbus Cryfans”
to the " Boeing let them die " channel???
@@Arltratlo "cry-fan"?
Air France never ordered Boeing? They're the launch customer of the 777-300ER, plus they have several 787s. Also, they used to operate 737s...
When the A320 launched the 717 was far, far away, like 15 years.
Good video. Horrible synthetic voice.
thanks for your feedback, we'll use real voice soon!
737 Max and 787 are the end of Boeing. RIP
Airbus PR and smear unit working together
