You have to unscrew the air tank off then get a small spanner wrench unscrew the shiney aluminum regulator holder out all the way. Look inside and you'll see the regulator adjustment screw down in there. Take a small crescent wrench undo the set nut a smidge then lightly with a screw driver turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise 1 complete turn out, then holding it take the crescent wrench snug up the locknut. Then install the parts back in and the air tank back on. Whah lah! More air more power. And leave the hammer spring turned in. It's powerful little pellet pistol. I had mine hogged out and get well over 1000 fps hogged out and lighter spring in the power block. I'm getting 41 fpe at 980 fps with 21 grain pellet. Crosman penetrators fast flights are the best of all for penetrations test. 💥💪💪💪🎯💯
I purchased mine and oh my goodness the NOTOS is an amazing PCP air carbine/pistol. You can also buy so many accessories like high cap rotary magazines. Great entry level PCP APR. Also watch a lot of great mods videos. But this is designed for short to medium range pest control use.👍
Great video! I really like how you try the door penetration test. It’s really hard not to click on the video when I see you thumbnail shooting at a car door, really interesting. Great video!
Ditch those Umarex factory Notos Mags....They Suck! Get the Maple Custom Mags they are awesome!. I dispatched about 1 dozen Rats In my back yard using a UTG Red/Green Dot Optic! I love the Notos!
Nice video! Try adjusting the regulator to increase/decrease the velocity, as the hammer spring adjustment doesn't do much. Also, check out Maple Custom Products for great after market mags for the Notos.
This little gun has had my interest but I am not sure it’s powerful enough to take something like a raccoon 🦝 from close range of say 10yds. It’s a perfect size though and the baffle to quiet it is perfect. Need to deal with raccoon as quietly as possible near feral cat colony I care for. Think they will be releasing a .25cal version?
I agree, I bought an air Venturi bully and it very powerful and accurate but I really wish I had the notos if nothing more than mods and the lightweight of it walking through the woods, to me it actually seems like the better buy in some ways
I've heard the valve and plenum are so small that adjusting the hammer spring or the regulator doesn't really do much on them. But they are pretty consistent and still making enough power for squirrels so pretty cool little pcp for the price still.
I'm so tired of these huge heavy air rifles that I may just get Notos. I like to plink in my back yard, so the super light Diana Chaser is almost perfect. The Notos is about 1 pound heavier, and has better scope mounting options, and better power.
If the hammer spring did that on any air gun that be crazy! Maybe they meant the regulator? Or maybe they meant another gun I don’t know 1 full turn on a hammer spring adjusting +150 or so fps I’ve never heard of it. If you want way more shots and power terminador industries has done some crazy stuff with the notos.
@@michaelpurdy5908 Others have posted that you also have to take it apart and adjust the regulator internally. The instructions don’t mention that and it was a loaner from Airgun Depot so I didn’t try it. It reportedly works after that adjustment though.
Thanks for the video, good stuff! Glad you're testing this one out. Im torn between the arrow and the notos. if you had to pick one which would you go with?
@zorgath420 Thank you! I'm glad you found it helpful. I would say, it you want open sights and do not prefer to mount an optic, go with the Arrow for sure. Flip up sights on the Notos would not be ideal at all. If you definitely plan to use an optic, I do believe I would lean toward the Notos. So compact and crazy light!
@@HuntShootLive Umarex has open sights for Notos for sale on the budget side and are fiber optics. They sell them on Amazon and eBay as well. Umarex patented open sight Notos kit.
Neither! Look up the Beeman under lever power series airgun. Better quality more power same length. It also comes in .25 cal! Did I mention cheaper priced??? Ha
Using the ebay drop block (z valve ) for the bottle mod will move the guage to the side view . If you dont want to do a bottle mod there is an ebay plenum mod that also moves the guage to the side . Using andy grey custom pellets will gain you some fps . The is also an orifice mod (requires drilling ) that will gain you about 100 fps . Just sayin
@jskyg68 Possibly. Others have commented that you can take the cylinder off and adjust the valve on the pressure tank but the instruction manual says nothing about that. I didn't try it because it was a loaner gun from Airgun Depot. Didn't want to take it apart.
@ruminator8381 0 seconds ago You got great numbers, keep them. I don't know why all my guns are less than any I see on youtube. Maybe my chrony is off. Mine was 700 fps at 15.5 fpe full hammer spring. I worked for 2 weeks on my regulator to find the perfect spot to increase to 750 fps at 19 fpe. So if you can get that with just a hammer turn, keep it.
Your guns are much bigger and more powerful than that gun. You should be overseas kicking a certain Russian's ass instead of shooting a lousy car door with a pellet gun. But anyway, thanks for the testing, some useful info there and even more in the comments. I saw another review where one person removed the regulator entirely and drilled out the 3mm hole in the plenum restrictor plate to 4.5mm, to get a big increase in FPS. I would then try using the heaviest weight slugs that will fit properly into the magazines. Then it's a gun that can punch holes through that car door, without breaking a sweat.
The volume is actually low, he must have recorded it on one side "left or right" side and is playing it back through the side that he recorded it on, making it sound normal to him and whomever speakers playback through that left or right side😞
@@Brianbri-nq3cc I recorded with a camcorder. As all my videos. I have played it back through a computer and two different iPhones and now again through our car and have normal volume.
