i love this basket so much! i know you did this a couple months ago, so you might not know, but can you tell me exactly what yarns you used? i LOVE the colors and i LOVE the way the yarn on the bottom is thinner than the yarn that you used on the sides. BEAUTIFUL basket!! =)
If you look through my videos, I used it for one that kind of looks like a bird nest. I let it twist or you can take your time to try to keep it flat. Some material just twist naturally during the process. It shouldn’t be splitting during the double stitch. You can message me on instagram with pics if you want.
Thank you so much! I mean when I wrap with the needle around the 2 rows, compared to the single wrap that goes around just the filler cord in between the double wraps. Hope that makes sense!
Mine is 3/8 inch, but you can use anything. I’ve used raffia, clothesline and even plastic bags to coil around. With thinner yarn like the ones I’m using in the video, a more sturdy filler cord would probably work best. Especially with the base with this design. It’s not as sturdy as the regular way I make them. So if you can’t find filler cord, you can get bungee cord or thick rope. Hope that helps 😊
Great tutorial! The yarn seems really easy to coil with. I can’t wait to try it!
Thank you so much 💜
Coloca para reduzir. Sou do Brasil. Queria saber quais os fios e os milímetros deles

Thank you so much! It was a mix of yarn. I have kits available with a mix that I put together. The purple is sold out. I appreciate your comment 😊
What tips do you have for working with flat twill tape? It seems to twist and not lay flat and when doing the double stitch it splits the twill tape.

I liked your instructions - easy to follow - have a question - what do you mean by saying" double wrap"?

How thick is the rope you use? Is there anything I should look for when buying? I'm in New Zealand so won't have the same sources. Thanks
