Ty so much for this tutorial- I’m kind of addicted. I have made 4 already. Using twine from the dollar tree 😂- I just wanted to make sure I could do it before investing. Cuz as an “oooo that’s cute let me try” crafter I have waaaay too many 1/2 done projects.
I used this tutorial to make my first basket! Thank you! I used t-shirt yarn and I love how it turned out. So neat to have the exact size and color basket I want for my side table. Binder clips helped make the beginning easier for me and to clip when I needed a break.
Great video. I am doing a different type of coiled basket stitching by hand. But the look of your baskets entices me to try to make a few. Thanks for sharing.
how many meters of the macrame cord and the filler did you use for this project? i'm trying to buy cords in advance and want to know how many meters to buy :)
It will depend on the weight of cord you use and how big you want your finished basket. If you work from the roll you don’t need to cut it until you finish.
I loved yoru video as it was what I was after to do at home. Now I have a substitute which is firm that I can use as a filler thats not a problem, I will be using 3mm braided as that is what I think will work for this, however I am not sure what lengths you are using or what kind of lengths I should be cutting?.......please help.
@@MaCREmebyCre Thank you, I have been wanting to make baskets, my best ones are by crochet and I am really bad at that right now, so I really have been desperately hunting for macrame baskets which are easy to do and like these style ones. So thank you.....
@@MaCREmebyCre question what size cotton piping did you use on your 3 mm basket? I am having great trouble trying to find cotton piping cord where I am, so I am trying to find a substitute.

Wonderful Video. I Love this basket. Can I use twisted yarn? Or is braided yarn better?
Thank you so much! You definitely can, but braided is much easier.

A roll of each is enough for several smaller baskets
Thanks these look amazing ❤

Thank you! Well you actually don’t need to measure. You just keep cutting pieces and leave your filler cord on a roll. I cut handfuls at a time.

@@ishtar990 3/8 inch, but you can use a thick rope or bungee cord. Try a hardware store!
You are surely a jack of all trades. Great job. I have been looking at these baskets and think I will try one soon! Thank you.
Oh you’re so sweet! Thank you! I hope you do give it a try ♥️
Can you make a square one?
Thank you for this! 😀😀
You’re welcome ☺️ ♥️
Hi, what size needle are you using?
Not really sure the exact size, sorry! I use the plastic ones because the holes are large enough for all my cord.
Have you ever used t-shirt yarn to make these baskets?
Yes! I posted a shorter video with it and also reels on IG.
@@MaCREmebyCre thanks for your quick response. I’ll check it out!
Thank you
Thank you!

What size of needle are you using?
Idk if you can click this, but maybe hold it down to copy and paste. They are just little plastic ones from amazon.
