Was impressed with Amad and Sancho on the wing worked well together Yoro was fantastic I think we need to move away from this “first team” mindset we need rotation and to adapt to how our opponents play.

I think it was clear that today’s objective from the coaching staff was playing out from the back. So, so many of our moves started with players going all the way back to the keeper even when they didn’t “need” to. Ten Hag obviously wants to up that part of our game this season.

It wasn't misplaced, idk wtf Evans was doing, he should go and get that pass as Yoro passed in a place where we had a lot of space to go forward in. Instead Evans goes back, says a lot abt the confidence of some of our united players.

Absolutely Hannibal always makes things complicated trying something unnecessary while playing. He lacks discipline and drops his head so often which is bad for his age. We need to sell him and he could develop into an erratic player unless he changes his behaviour and attitude.
I've never been impressed with Hannibal. Could never understand the hype about him.

Amad is hungry but more importantly he also has the TALENT and skillset to do some of the things we have been lacking so much, especially creatively. Some things, such as crossing, through passes, dribling, are not just about hunger but also ability. Antony just lacks ability to do some of these things yet they come so naturally for Amad!
It’s weird how it’s took him (Amad) this long to be recognised fully after his stint at my club (Sunderland). He’s phenomenal, his creative play and flair combined. He has every right to be selfish at times but knows when to square the ball.
Best of all, his attitude to the team and being on the bench at times is so humble it’s refreshing.
Give amad some time this season ! Absolute baller, has shown us almost every time he’s gotten the chance.

I think it is too soon to judge, is just friendly matches imo. Ofc you want to see good performances for the new players/talent, but you have to wait to praise them until the serious matches are coming otherwise you will be easy disappointing with the performances when they play the prem matches

I also think, along with Bruno he’s one of the only midfield players t have that experienced vision, to switch play or play a through ball. I think as we saw in the euros, kobbie is great, but he doesn’t have that yet, he doesn’t get many assists

I think the wingers will be split. I think Ten Hag will go with a direct, pacy, selfish winger on one side and a slow down, dribble across the line, selfless winger on the other. So like Rashford and Garnacho on one side and Amad, Sancho and Antony on the other. There is a big difference because one group of wingers are extremely fast and the others are technically better.
Strikers need passes. Rashford and Garnacho are too greedy to be good wingers.

For this coming season, if MUFC makes a footballing decision, Amad is on the top of our wingers on the right side. If we select wingers based on wage or cost, then he will be at the bottom.

Onana - solid but didn't have to do much.
Evans - a bit slow but he gets slack
Yoro - very good performance; felt him and Evans weren't on the same page but his passing was very nice. Him and Licha will get along just fine.
AWB - average AWB performance
Collyer - looks tidy and like a tackle; I like that.
Casemiro - looked fine; a bit slow and the passing wasn't the best, but he did alright
Mount - he will never force Bruno out of the team, but he has an engine and I feel can make an impact
Sancho - very average, if that. Backpass FC and missing sitters. Probably the worst performance of the first teamers.
Amad - clearly the best player on the field. Should probably start the season at RW and Garnacho at LW, not that pre-season friendlies should determine the actual starting eleven.

I feel Ten Hag is going to have issues choosing which players his going to have on the RW with Amad, Sancho, and Antony and that's also considering Garnacho also plays on the right if we have Rashy on the left looking forward to the first game and who he chooses 🤔
Rashy needs to be gone, but nobody will pay that astronomical wage that Ten Hag and the old crew gave him.

Don't expect too much, this was only a preseason match, a friendly. The team has to be assembled yet, not all transfers have come in yet. Automatisms still have to be made yet, they have to grow. Possible in friendlies, otherwise during the season. This was a preseason friendly, the win is looking promising. You, fans, can look forward to a good season!
