The actor who plays Pierre Curie sounds like he's channeling Jared Harris here. I can't get enough of it.
Thank you I thought I was insane.
I remember Marie Curie said that people should not be interested in personal lives of scientists, when she was being interviewed. Welp. Sry, Miss Curie, you're too radioactive.
Gay
it's Marie Sklodowska-Curie, she was polish. Why everyone keep forgetting this? Curie was her husband last name, but she kept also hers. It's like people nowdays do the same thing to her and recognise her, because of her husband (even by just not knowing that)
She only said that because she had an affair with a married man after her husband was killed. When it came to light all of France turned on her. Which was stupid because she was NOT the one that was married at the time; yet they saw her as some kind of foreign Jezebel who wanted to lead nice innocent French men astray. HA!
@@tinahp1121 Curie is small and easy to remember, I don't know anything about her personal history. If she kept that name, it now is her name. Therefore, if I have to talk about her so that people know who I'm talking about, I'll. say. her. name.
Also, sry, I'm from India. We all here heard Marie Curie only. Only from this comment section I've come to known about her being Polish and her original surname. I'll try my best to remember and pronounce it full.🙇🏻♂️
She should be in heaven and waiting to come here at right time. She is the best. I just came after a X-ray. How many people got the benefit of what she found. Unbelievable.
Be less curious about people and more curious about ideas.

Rosamund Pike seems to have found the perfect role. Can't wait to see the movie.
The slap was kinda funny. I was getting like a classic British confrontation vibe 😂. “How dare you madam”
Amazing!Marjane Satrapi rules!Marie Curie was horribly disrespected by the people of her time. She deserved so much better.
They're fabulous actors... Their acting, their voice...amazing😍🤩
What a perfect casting of Rosamund Pike as Madam Marie Curie !
Everyone is eager to watch this movie, my question is will it be available in India? Because the description says in the US on July 24. Is this a global release...
Already available in torrent since 3 days. But i will watch it in prime on 24. This movie needed views.
Marie Curie, She won two noble awards.
Truly inspiring, a legend of the scientific community.
5 Full Stars including the birth of her child. Out of this world scenes and incredible photography. Many more just like it in the near future please. Brian A Koller
Woahhhh .... ♥️♥️♥️
She's the actual feminist.... She's the one who women should be really proud of ...
@JimmyTwoShoes exactly
Modern feminists are just man hating lesbians so....yeah, she is a TRUE feminist, fighting for female recognition.
How do you know the story hasn't been altered to fit that narrative.
Nowhere in the history has it mentioned about such events of no recognition been given to her.

True what u mentioned about the 3rd wave dumb feminaaziiss.
womenn have been recognized when they actually did achieve something. But these days they want the preferential and special treatment everywhere with zero accountability
Some ppl now a days have problem with anything women do. Let them do what they want. Don't teach them what is actual feminism and what is not according to your ideologies.
Finally a inspirational movie that I can show to my nieces.
If she had not found radioactivity we all would have ended up using URANIUM in place of plastic for making boxes ,with out knowing anything about it...
Not true at all
This is an excellent portrayal and underrated biographical, definitely worth the watch. Nicely done without a ton of special effects, artistic liberties and other nonsense at the expense of history and accuracy.
Fun fact:- the first ever lady who won the Nobel prize..
And what's the fun in that ?+
And only person to win nobel in physics and chemistry
She was also the first person to have won it twice (only three more people have managed it after her) and she is one of only two people who have won in different fields.
There's is nothing in life to be feared, only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.
Maria Sklodowska-Curie
Everyone (about me, when I was a child):
"It DoEs NoT BeHavE aS iT sHould."
She’s such a good actress
It was because of her that electromagnetic spectrum of atom could be explained and quantum mechanical model of atom could be given
About time there was a movie on Marie Curie
This trailer just reminded me of ' shakuntala Devi' trailer..
I don't really understand how bollywood raise the bar of stupidity with every movie. I so wish one day bollywood make a movie that make real sense..
- movie lover
Absolutely true, Bollywood adds unnecessary dances, dramas and stupid songs no matter what the charector's nature is! I really want Hollywood to make a film on shakuntala devi
Very true
I guess Article 15 would be worth it
Just give it a try☺☺
To be fair madam curie's academic life was way more happening and interesting than shakuntala devi's
You must never be fearful about what you are doing when it is right.
-Marie Curie
It seems like this would be the great movie in lockdown
Who loves science
Rosamund pike is one of my favourite actors
