she was such a strong women, and so underrated ! she didnt just contributed to science but to women empowerment ! thanks for the movie - never knew her struggles before this
We get 2-3 films a year about it. Beyond that factor in Black History movies and its 100% consistent EVERY YEAR with a dead horse of a subject focus averaging a legit 1-3 movies right before awards show season.
This whole film gives you anxiety when you know just how damaging radium is to the human body. Hell, even her person papers needed to be handled with special instruments because of the radioactivity.
@Furyan Auror I'm not bitching, just stating my opinion. I don't want to stream it for another site if I'm paying for Prime. This would be my point. Are you in the U.S?
Is it available in India? Sick tired of Bollywood way of less-scientific-and-more-melodramatic interpretation of biopic of the Great Mathematician Shakuntala Devi :(
You must be slow. She did not invent radium, radon, nor ionized radiation😂😂 she simply liked the way it glowed under ultraviolet light and found out that gamma rays kill tumors. Also she died due to mishandling said radiation sources.
The film fails in storyline. Perhaps, only those familiar with science will know that Curie discovered 2 radioactive elements that are hardly related to atomic bomb, nuclear disaster, etc. Inserting such irrelevant clips to the storyline spoils the it. Has her husband at the Nobel prize cenemony really spoken about the issue of radioactive materials falling into the criminals' hands? All these clips can be removed together with the unnecessary sexual or nude scences between the couple (except that she is with her husband's student). A film failed in storyline is a total failure because film is to tell story.
The movie was entirely inaccurate in a lot of counts. Her Wikipedia is more interesting than the movie altogether. The movie has done a disservice to her nature and accomplishments.
Good movie, but was she this arrogant in real life? There is a difference between being a strong woman vs being arrogant. Her character is really unlikeable. I understand she was intelligent but maybe she was really like this in real life? Maybe not?

@ yeah which makes absolutely no sense. If she’s using radiation to shrink tumors and kill cancerous cellular dna then why won’t it be able to destroy healthy cells too? Stupid mistake that could’ve been prevented by looking at the data and comparing the effects radiation to healthy and mutated cellular structures.

She isn’t underrated though
Focusing on her gender diminishes her work as a scientist. Girl power nonsense is an insult to all of the brilliant and talented women in STEM.
She practically killed herself playing with ionized radioactive material.
Heartfelt salutation to the curie family. Amazing that, 4 Nobel laureates from one family
One of her daughters that did nit won Noble was still extreamly succesful
No it's 5 noble prize from one family
@Shamitapal_ laureate means someone who won the prize. So yes, 4 laureates.
she was not only a great scientist but also the strongest women.
I can make u a strong woman

Not so strong when she practically killed herself with ionized radiation samples
So gratifying to see Prime take a turn toward historical drama.
We are so in need of it.
@Furyan Auror Thanks. Examples?

Uranium needs Uranus
Maria Skłodowska - Curie była geniuszem. W 8 lat 2 Nagrody Nobla z fizyki i chemii ❤❤❤
She was a genuine. And they found the right actress to play her.
Women with strong attitude are not appreciated, generally.
Hats off to your exemplary fighting spirit, Marie.
🙏🏿

I can ship u some Uranium ….
Even Curie body is sealed in Lead because of the Radioactive
RIP Madam Curie. Certainly one of the most influential figures of the 20th century.
Love Marie Curie’s science.
Why can't this be on everyone's Prime, not just the U.S? This is ridiculous.

It's in UK now but I'm not sure about other countries

I liked the movie 🎥, based on a true story & her life, about history & war & radiation. Very interesting 🧐 excellent actress 💯
Maria Skłodowska - Curie była wielką patriotką, pierwiastek POLON nazwała na cześć swojej ojczyzny Polski 🇵🇱
God bless this wonderful woman.
Goddess of Science 🍁
I think Marie curie alone was deserving Nobel Prize for physics chemistry peace and also for literature as her story is better than geetanjali
She received two Noble Prizes in her life.
My life belongs to her 😊
An outstanding female scientist. RIP.
*Scientist
Her gender is irrelevant.
A true heroine. ❤ Bet her life in search of truth.
When will it be available in India ?

Not available in the UAE. How about making people's subscription worthwhile even if they don't live in the West?
Do you think it might be cause she is a woman and you live in UAE?
Do you think it is like this because your country banned anything that empowers women?
Why it’s not available in India
Because it’s a poor country

Why does a Polish-French woman have an English accent?
The most stupid fun fact i guess guess: pierre Curie died from a Street accident and Marie Curie died from her own creation by touching it
You must be slow. She did not invent radium, radon, nor ionized radiation😂😂 she simply liked the way it glowed under ultraviolet light and found out that gamma rays kill tumors. Also she died due to mishandling said radiation sources.
And her body and notes are sealed in Lead because they are still radioactive.
What song is this?
The Swan (Le Cygne - Saint-Saens)
100% Boss Lady
Não está no Prime não! Será que tiraram do catálogo?
Parece que só está disponível nos EUA
Ta na netflixxx só vai
why is it not available on amozon prime..
Maybe it’s available in the Amozon jungle, you should travel there and find out
Shouldn't she speak with Polish accent, since she was Polish? Why everything has to revolve around English...tired of this.
I would have respected you more if your comment was in Polish
In a biography (Obsessive Genius by Barbara Goldsmith), it says that she worked on speaking without a Polish accent while speaking French.
so why tf is ur comment in English
@AndyPandy33
U should be grateful, she is not played by viola davis or kerry washington

Exactly, people have no idea what radiation even is or even what she did😂 they look silly in the comments acting as if they understand the concept

she was not British and for sure she did not have a British accent xD
