How far out from the right tire does the mower extend or what is the distance from the center of the pto shaft to the edge?

6" or so I think. The brackets can be moved over another 6".

I notice you cut very low, which is fine, just curious if the mower has skids on each side that can be raised? If so, how high can those be raised? I am looking to purchase this mower but can’t find any details on that.

That is max raised right there. I think the skids were sinking into the ground, as that was tilled last year. Plus it was leaning forward too much. Maybe some wider skids, or wheels or something would help.

I have the same mower and i tilt it back with the top link on the3 point hitch, Its a great mower. He's mowing some thick stuff there and its going right through it. I've mowed pastures and woodland with mine and it will chew through saplings and gives a nice finished look. Its higher off the ground than you may think and is well worth the money in my opinion.

@@ChrisBrown-oo1om thanks Chris, I think am going to try a finishing mower. I want to be able to keep the fields at a taller length. I’m not sure the flail will cut at 5-7 inches. What do you think?

@@Brew-qp3hv I personally wouldnt want a finishing mower for my pastures, Theres rock, limbs and rough ground in mine and i think i would tear a finishing mower into shreds. Maybe a brush hog would be good. I like the flail because i get onto some steep hills and the flail mower weight is closer to hte tractor and easier for me to handle. Let us know what you go with and how it turns out.
