I love how after the game Chung always shakes his opponent's hand with a genuine smile. Win or lose, against your idol or a fellow young tennis player that you also happened to dismantle at the Aus Open last year, Chung seems to truly enjoy the sport.
Wow, that is the smartest tennis I have Zverev seen play. Not only power-grinding (which is a very good basis) but also keeping the opponent off-balance with angles, slices, drop shots, net attacks, high bouncing top spin. Very good. I whonder if he did read my comment on his match against Marterer and took it to heart. :D
Have to give credit to Zverev. There is much more pressure in defending your title and points, than winning the title. He's handling the pressure of defending the his points well. Shows he getting mentally tougher and more mature.
Good game guys~ Zverev did well today. Congratulation~ from South Korea~😁 Chung~ don't worry and be sad~~ u mighy have another chance next time... France?? Hahaha 🤗
Everybody says "we need New players, the big 4 is boring", but in the others hand They said "I love Chung, young Novak 💓" but what is the interest to have New players with the same game of old players? If you want New player this to have News styles of game, if not, keep the original edit. Zverev is really a New player because he has a different game.
Shapovalov also has a very different game to anyone before him i think, i would say the way he plays is unique and not based on any past player in any obvious way.
qubitz Yes Shapovalov, Zverev, Kyrgios or Rublev are interesting players. But Chung is Just a Djoko - bis as Nishokori. But this is not the worst. The worst is the robot - tennisman Tsitsipas.
I love watching Tsitsipas personally and i don't think he plays like former players, infact i'd describe Tsitsipas as someone who plays just like Zverev but makes less unforced errors.
atm he's 44 ranking, he'll be top 10 before long i think and he does have as much variety in his game as Zverev - he's been playing a lot of effective drop shots in the past couple of weeks and he even hit a dive volley on clay! I'll grant you the point you make about the backhand, but thats not saying much considering Zverev arguably has the best backhand in the game right now and Tsitsipas's backhand is still a fantstic shot.
Anyway, A.Zverev looks much talented and better than Chung. And a Chung like play style consumes much stamina, which means it is hard to show good performance in more than quarter finals or in long matches such as grand slams. Zeverev has better drop shot and enough used it against Chung in this match. Chung like players are persistent against strong shot and rally. But once opponents well mixed various kinds of shots, he likely loses his pace and momentum.
DS, lol. In the past 1 year, Zverev got 2 "W" and 1 "F" in ATP 1000s, while Chung got 2 "QF" in ATP 1000s. It means Zverev has been enough prepared to win GS anytime, while Chung has been still far away from "W" in both of 1000 and GS. Speaking about "SF" in OZ open, without doubt, it thanks to bad conditions of Big 4, Wawrinka and Nishikori. If they were in normal conditions, Chung disappeared at "R16". Further, can you praise Chung's play at the SF in OZ open lost to Roger Federer? It was pitiful.
Well, appears that chung is returning to his 2017 mid year form, idk what happens with him, but from time to time he is too inconsistent with his groundstrokes, idk the backhand is good but that forehand idk i think it has to change his technique in the FH too inconsistent
+Mublik Bublik Nope. He was born in Germany, he was raised in Germany, he has German nationality and passport, he plays for Germany, and most importantly- he considers himself German. And he lives in Monte Carlo.
Don't need a replacement. Just need someone to beat them. It's too long overdue. Every generation has certain great figure, like McEnroe, Borg, lendl, Connor, Agassi, Sampras, etc... How come this young generation has no one?? You would imagine if someone like a young Sampras showed up, there's no way Federer could dominate at 36, 37. Or a Borg supercharged for the 21st century shows up, would Nadal dominate the clay like he does now ?
well it is hard to win a title with guys like federer and nadal playing in the atp 500s, atp 1000s and grand slams. chung is only 21 years, so still too early to tell if he can stay there for long. a while back, there was these 4 bullies who were hogging the grand slams, atp 1000s and atp 500s. but 2 have already dropped out and the other 2 is near the end of their careers, so when chung is at his prime, he will have a much better chance of winning titles compared to guys who are the same generation as the big 4
I love how after the game Chung always shakes his opponent's hand with a genuine smile. Win or lose, against your idol or a fellow young tennis player that you also happened to dismantle at the Aus Open last year, Chung seems to truly enjoy the sport.
Well good for you vamostennis. This is a good 9 minute highlight.

Wow. Superfast! I have just watched it live and you have this uploaded already.
Wonderful match, congratulations guys👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
ha! i love the ending of the video where we can notice your computer screen! thx for uploading this so quickly!
Chung was just coming back from an injury and lacks significant match play. Fingers crossed he does well in Madrid
Have to give credit to Zverev. There is much more pressure in defending your title and points, than winning the title. He's handling the pressure of defending the his points well. Shows he getting mentally tougher and more mature.
I will be disappointed if Sascha does not make a deep run in Paris this season. SF at Monte Carlo, W at Munich already. He is very good on clay.
Zverev really needs to work on his net game.... how many easy volleys did he missed in the net in this match
Good game guys~
Zverev did well today.
Congratulation~ from South Korea~😁
Chung~ don't worry and be sad~~
u mighy have another chance next time... France?? Hahaha 🤗

don't be surprised if zverev only has one major by the end of his career.
man zverev was just playing too good defense and letting hyeon make mistakes plus some really nice serves good game

qubitz Lol Tsitsipas is ATP 44 and Zverev ATP 3. And Zverev's game is more various and is backhand is really more efficient.

정현 , 다음엔 해낼거야 ~!
Jung Hyun , You'll be better next time ~!
그리고 나는 프랑스오픈을 기다린다. :)
And I'm waiting rolland garros. :)
music 2019 oh, u think so really? Thanks ^^ Jung hyun is my hope and pleasure on the court.
music 2019 he's always injured. His body will break down before he hits his prime. Federer had the same concerns about Chung I mentioned above.
I agree. He will be surely better than zeverev in near future. I’m rooting for Chung!!
Winny Her 맞다

honestly chung needs to learn how to adapt - zverev far out from baseline, should have played nonstop dropshot game
sacha killed, pushed game to the base line a lot
too many breaks of serve from Chung
Chung didn't play well. Wasn't hitting his shots cleanly
SuperTennisManiac was a bad match from both..
SuperTennisManiac I agree
SuperTennisManiac yeah, he only played well at the beginning
Well, appears that chung is returning to his 2017 mid year form, idk what happens with him, but from time to time he is too inconsistent with his groundstrokes, idk the backhand is good but that forehand idk i think it has to change his technique in the FH too inconsistent
farojaco he wannbe like novak but fail at it😂😂
you can tell Chung is more of a pure hard court player not so much clay... lack of understanding and strategy for clay
We need Andre, Pete, McEnroe, Lendl, Borg and Becker back. Now. Tennis is in the shitter. Such low quality of play...
Chung got tired
I would have bet house on chung, well done russian guy :-)
He is German
German...
*German
Russian, living in Germany
+Mublik Bublik Nope. He was born in Germany, he was raised in Germany, he has German nationality and passport, he plays for Germany, and most importantly- he considers himself German.
And he lives in Monte Carlo.
chang already finished, still young but already detering
Tennis has found Djokovic's replacement in Chung. Now Tennis needs Federer and Nadal replacements.
mlungisi manzini Will Never happen
mlungisi manzini lol never ll it happen until they retired ftom tennis world
lol why nadal he is boring

Victor Lupas Nadal is more impressive than Murrovic.People need a Nadal with his never give up attitude and speed you fucking hater
This asian dude are weak yo
top 20 yo
kcazzzzz top 20 doesnt mean shit if your still cant win title. Look at john isner top 20 in 8years i dont see how chung can stay that way for so long
