Thanks a lot for this video, it was very useful for my an for my new second hand CBF 1000 2007. Lifting the tank it's easyer than remove both front cowl. Cheers!
At what mileage did you say to change them? Thank You! Excellent video by the way! It’s my first bike in 20 years so I’m hoping to do a lot of the maintenance myself if poss 👍
As far as I remember Honda said to change them at 15,000 miles. This one had 18,000 on it and they still looked ok. Thanks very much. I enjoy hearing that you liked the video and that it helped you out.
Hi, what wind deflectors have you on bars of your cbf1000? Great vid, thank you 👍🏻 My 2006 has 18k serviced every year regardless but has an annoying stutter… any suggestions? Going to go plug change, runs compression test and test backwards on the ignition system, although I’m pants at electrical testing!! Grrrrr
Thank you. I’m not sure what wins deflectors are on it as it’s my friends bike but I will ask him and let you know. Could you describe the stutter a bit better for me and when exactly does it happen?
@@DarrenMcKinney1 Sure, and thanks for replying, I’m keen to get some winter protection in place! It usually happens when the engine starts to warm up and then right through when running. It’s happens at between 2-3k rpm regardless of gear selection, so I know I’m not running too higher gear. Once it passes 3k rpm, it’s like a huge kick as it clears the ‘stutter zone’ and takes off like a rocket pulling like a train. I initially thought it could be some moisture in the fuel lines and used Motul fuel cleaner regularly which softened it slightly but made no solid improvement so this led me to think that this just stuck a plaster over the actual issue. Had major service completed to check valve clearances and all was fine there. Garage had no suggestions which was a disappointment.
Hi,do you have any idea as to why my mk2 is showing code 34 after removing the servo and using a healtec illuminator, it ops up after a 25 mile run i keep clearing it and it keeps coming back. cheers.
If it keeps coming on with the eliminator on it may be some problem with the unit itself. I would contact healtech technical department to see if they can shed any light on the matter
That's a lot of faffing around to change spark plugs on these modern bikes. I can change all 4 on my 1980 GS550 in less than 5 minutes, and still have time to do the 2 on my 1978 T140. Sometimes simpler is better.
yeah I think from memory its no 3 that is really bad because the frame is pretty much over the top of it. You should get it with a 3/8" socket set with a long extension bar. They are really tricky but thankfully don't have to be done too often

Glad I could help joe
Even with new plugs I’d still check the gaps before fitting, other than that a very informative video.
Благодарю! Сейчас буду у себя менять
Great video, thanks very much.
Cheers for the video all the info I need.
Just one question for you.
Where did you get the handguards for the cbf? Been looking and can't find any.
At what mileage did you say to change them? Thank

Hey, what's the model of handlebars? Where did you get that? Are they from Honda or accesory?
@@MrMushek hey. Sorry that bike didn’t belong to me I was just fitting the plugs so I’m not sure what the handlebar brand is

I completely agree with that. Simpler is better
Iam doing mine this weekend.... Those 2 & 3 plugs look bloody awful to get at
