This is one of the few well done Marine systems on TH-cam. Well balanced and actual custom work- not just someone ruining a boat and cutting a 10-12” hole in the hull while putting $5k worth of horns on a tower.
what have you guys found sounds best in a boat, because its all wide open, i know it'd be dif than a car, so what has better sound quality for subs... ported or not ported? want good loud clean bass and usually listening to metal, country, maybe some ladies want some hip hop.... so anything could be playing on my pontoon.. just wondering what you guys found sounds better, about to venture into just a couple 10's in my pontoon boat
even in open air environment ported boxes still deliver more output DEPENDING on location, space avail, and skill level for design and use of subsonic and lpf filters. ported will give almost double the sound in all usable bass tones from rock to rap depending on proper box location and design. we still do alot in sealed boxes and also free air specific subs with no box. all depends on each customers expectations and goals as well as budget
super clean sound and setup! im bout to buy another boat so gatta get my audio hype on youtube! lol. already have plenty of audio equip for it, just gatta go get the boat. thought about 2 free air subs under the dashes but already have boxes for for an idq 10 (vent) and a l5 12 (sealed) prob will go with an enclosure setup instead. not marine grade stuff but if i can keep the moisture down i should be ok. lol. too bad i cant find another alpine 9886m. if u can get one fairly cheap new lemme know $300ish
+D Rock need to run at least 2 batteries, with an isolater switch, (perko8150) or similar . place a good agm battery as close to the amps as possible, yes shortest ground is always best, but run proper GA wire for power and ground from audio battery back to the isolater switch so it can charge and negative to the other batteries, if ground isn't good enough, run it to the engine block. also make sure your radio/source constant/ignition/ground are straight to same battery as amps. this will always be 95%-100% clean/ no noise problem. very rarely you can still have other small problems that can cause some small noise like having rcas too long and coiled up to hide/ and it becomes an antenna for noise. etc. or actual boat mechanics like bad alternator or bad cell battery
+SoundDNACarStereo gotcha bud. thanks a million. did the perko switch in my other boat so it should be piece of cake. but didnt know about the ground to the perko- to both batteries. thanks man! d
+SoundDNACarStereo thanks for the quick reply. love the video. another question I'm running (8) 6.5 speakers and (2) 12in sub. Both with amps. my battery dies quick. what battery would you recommend?
we have 2 more pontoons that we demo with at the lake and can play for 8+hrs without a re charge. but we run 6 Stinger spp agms in them. but this makes us the life of the party lol

thanks, and unfortunately we don't carry Alpine, good luck with your build
+SoundDNACarStereo thanks bud. quick q. grounding amps on a boat, u recc going back to the battery or engine? 18" ground or less for boat application?

+SoundDNACarStereo correction, ground to close mounted battery then proper guauge wires to perko. got it
how long will the system last on that kinetic battery with engine off?
about 4-6 hrs at 75% volume
+SoundDNACarStereo thanks for the quick reply. love the video. another question I'm running (8) 6.5 speakers and (2) 12in sub. Both with amps. my battery dies quick. what battery would you recommend?

+SoundDNACarStereo wow that's alot. how many you think I need to run for about 5 hours before charge? thanks again for your time
+Justin James Olsen how big of a system are you building, be specific on brand , how many speakers subs amps
shoulda put money into upholstery
Stereo setup is worth 3x the boat
Can I have some money
@SSBBW Lover Har har har. Har.
Someone doesn't know how to recognize a joke. I build helicopters at 80k salary and I'm still in crippling debt. That's the point of the joke
@Chiefkyle Sounds like your IQ is way too low to comprehend sarcasm or a lowkey joke. I can already tell you don't have many friends. Lol
