@@DPCTechnologyClay I have a tough question, do you see drones getting into the space with ubiquiti because I see from an industrial and commercial point that it’s got ad hoc solutions in place. Ubiquiti not so much!
Could you please make a detailed video on the new notification settings? All moved to one, and my phone no longer shows which camera gets triggered, just one and same notification pops up. Much appreciated
The 5.1 update looks like it will satisfy a lot of my wants! Thanks for running through that! I’m looking forward to a review on the AI Turret. It may be a blessing that I haven’t been able to get a G5 Turret yet 😉
I have a feeling they will start doing more IR Cut cameras like the AI LPR.. It needs an actual filter to maximize those detections. Or bigger sensors.. I wouldnt expect any major image quality enhancements on existing hardware...
I'm wondering how the new AI turret stacks up against the AI pro it seems like they're largely the same although the AI pro says it has some optical zoom?
AI port will be phenomenal for updating existing UniFi cameras with LPR and facial recognition. I would like to add it to my doorbell and driveway camera.
@@DPCTechnology Hmm, maybe even take it a step further during the comparison video and do an additional test adding those 3rd party cameras to UniFi with the AI Port after testing them natively with their own software. Since a lot of LPR functionality has to do not only with the camera hardware but also its software backend. It would be interesting to see not only how the AI LPR compares to others, but also what happens and how the AI LPR compares to 3rd party LPR's when used within UniFi Protect software.
I was wondering if the AI Port is the same thing as the rumored AI Key, but the video released by Unifi today making this announcement shows the AI Key in it. I wish I knew more about the AI Key before buying the AI Port.
So it seems like 1 Port device is required for each camera you want AI capability on? Seems like it might almost make more sense to just buy a new Unifi AI camera for $300-$400, rather than spend $200 on an existing (probably aging) camera.
Probably for home use, but in a professional setting the labor will kill you and its pretty easy/cheap to plug in an in-line device. I have a feeling they will sell a lot of them. Especially if it's just a couple of nice cameras...
there are onvif cameras on the market available which are much better at low light than all unifi ones. for another example there is no thermal imaging camera available from Ubi, which is a must have for monitoring big, open fields. adding AI to one for example to detect 🔥 and people... great.
I really hope that ubiquiti venture into the home automation market, since their cameras and iot devices could be integrated into a ai system that understands patterns and makes adjustments for lighting (increasing illumination or adjusting colour temperature) smart blinds and even the atmosphere (climate and music)… even the sound system could be incorporated to the alarm system to trigger a larm one the windows and blinking the lights….
That would be cool! They are opening things up a bit.. I don't see it in the short term but I also thought they would never allow 3rd party cams in Protect....
Ai Port it’s nice, but I need a Ai Prot Server. I wish to retrofit 15 g3 flex to Ai stuff. 200usd for each camera it’s too much. I don’t understand why Ubiquity doesn’t sell a Ai Rack server. I’m doing this with a Mac Mini and Scrypted today.
Appreciate the time and effort you place into all your videos, keep it up. That being said, I can't help but to ask that you pull it back with those thumbnail images of eyes popped, mouth gapping shock and awe clickbait style. Please and thank you. ^_^
Being able to add AI to an existing camera is a great option. Just set up email notifications so I can grab one when they are released.
Yeah, its gonna be a game changer..
@@DPCTechnologyClay I have a tough question, do you see drones getting into the space with ubiquiti because I see from an industrial and commercial point that it’s got ad hoc solutions in place. Ubiquiti not so much!
Especially since the current Unifi cameras don’t do color night vision well.

Will do!

Good stuff!
Great new gear! and I Love the favourite function! Will use this a lot.
@@murrayjamieson9502 me too!!
Cool. The AI Dome is exactly, what I was looking for, to replace my non AI powered dome camera. Looking forward to a test of yours.
I hope to have it soon..
Do you think k there will be latency with the AI port? Assuming it has to decode the image, process and analyze it?
I certainly will let you know when i have it in my hands!!
G5 PTZ + AI Port will be a game changer.
I love Case Manager. Great feature.
Great feature in retail environments.
Does this mean we can set up heatmaps for stores finally ?
I didnt test..
Still no update on the nighttime quality on the PTZ?

Yeah the AI pro has zoom. I will definitly test agaist the AI Pro and regular Turret Ultra...
AI LPR has also 3x optical zoom
I really hope you are going to review the AI port?
@Hans-F I am..

@@gsawnv will be cool for sure, it's a little pricey but will be perfect fit for some..
Agreed. Better than replacing a camera for $500
The question is will this AI port enable PTZ usage on onvif cams or has Protect 5.1 been as well extended t by this feature?
Good question. I dounbt it, but do not know..
I heard the G2 Pro Reader is supposed to get AI. Do you think the AI Port will make that happen or will it be done on the Reader itself?
Not sure, but that would be awesome!
Please do a comparison video of the Unifi AI LPR vs 2-3 other 3rd party brands of LPR cameras.
ooooooh thats a GREAT idea!!

@@kristopherleslie8343 That is what the video suggests. Not sure if I should wait for the AI Key to be released before buying the AI Port.
@@DRBAY06 I don’t think the port and key are the same but I’m not an employee at UI and their release didn’t include it today
I do not know the answer. But there is a rack mount for muptiple AI Ports.
@ i actually like that rack port I wish they could do a similar one with other products that traditionally hang or go on walls
Webhook eh ❤
Yessir!

I have a site full of g3 so definitely happy 😃
