      I love their stuff but to me it just seems so over priced for the new Turret idk 499...Per camera seems hefty We just did an install in KY and put in 14 cameras on a farm and Personaly that camera would be great for some spots but also The AI Port....is...well lackluster imo They could work on getting the other ONVIF protocols to get it working better with 3rd party but they would rather get people to their camera systems

      their new ai turret camera, although an improvement with sensor size, still doesn't compete when theres 4k 1/1.2inch sensors for half the price... and the AI port is basically a $200 wallet extraction if you want to use better priced/performance cameras, most of which have their own AI detection and onvif alerts...

      @MactelecomNetworks can you do a video on the Doorbell PRO Fingerprint Sensor integration to Access to open the door?

    • @1stGruhn
      @1stGruhn 28 นาทีที่ผ่านมา

      @@russellharrison619 If you compare them to Axis, Avigilon, and Hanwha cameras (which are industry leaders in the analytics space: doing face detection, object detection, and LPR) $500 is cheap. The above mentioned usually run $400-500 baseline for a 1080p object recognition camera with 4k models often over $1k each. The Build quality is exceptional but obviously costly (with even the junction box often costing over $100 each). So Unifi is killing it.
      Though... Axis and the like often come with 5yr warranties vs Unifi's 2 yr (or less if you bought it from a reseller). And I've replaced Axis cameras (I'm a commercial camera tech) that were 15+ yrs old and just starting to have issues.

      The first version they released of the G4 Doorbell Pro had the fingerprint reader advertised all over the place. Then, they removed that feature from everywhere to the point that the 2nd version of the same camera did not include the sensor in the build (even though it looked like it did from the exterior). I remember watching vids of the dissamble where it showed they had removed the sensor. Now that they are coming with this feature again, are they planning on coming up with a new version of the same g4 doorbell pro? Or maybe they showed me wrong and they've always had the sensors in sleep mode..

    • @fretbuzzly
      @fretbuzzly 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Underwhelming actually. For less money you can get a much more capable camera. The LPR only has 50 feet of IR whereas similarly priced cameras from other makers can reach well over 300' and have 30x+ zoom compared to 5x for the LPR. You're paying for the ecosystem. I'm guessing this LPR camera will be well north of $500.

      This to me could be incredible to transfer my HIKVision if I can get LPR type functionality and connect everything through one portal. I've got multiple clients, and one on Unifi and a couple others on HIK, and let me say, every solution that uses HIK or some basic IP camera solution (Frigate/etc like) is GARBAGE in comparison to Unifi's solution. But HIK's cameras are absolutely solid, and so me of them, from varifocal to tight focus sometimes hit areas that UniFi does not market. Let me have the best of both and I'm with it

    Take the AI Turret and the G5 Turret Ultra and moosh them together at under $200 w/o the facial recognition and you’ll have the perfect general surveillance IPCAM.
    And, please add duplicate realtime recording to an offsite appliance or NAS, even, if there’s a small delay because the onsite appliance is doing the work. This should be a high priority development. Thanks.

    AI port, so they throw you a bone and allow third-party cameras, but they're not going to let you do anything with them unless you fork out the cash for their accessory.
    I bought an NVR pro for testing, but I'm going to sell it. I have too many cameras that would need either a transition to unify or the add-on. Either way, it would be price prohibitive.

    • @D3thM3tal
      @D3thM3tal 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Well, the use ONVIF and have just started allowing 3rd party cameras for viewing. None of the AI detection and motion events are handled by the NVR, it's all on the camera side, so I could see Unifi eventually allowing 3rd party AI cameras to integrate with the NVR. Coming from a full custom Blue Iris/Amcrest setup to Ubiquiti was painfully expensive but trouble free. I would welcome the ability to transition over to Ubiquiti without the giant up front cost of all of their hardware.
