@@GodlyPlayer9163 You just need to kill everything you see with a rifle. Try to keep the integrity going though (use the right rifle for the right animal), so you can maximize profits and don’t mess up any rares you might stumble across. There are a lot of really good beginner guides out there.
If you're a new player, you probably don't have much rifle score. which is why I recommend getting the .270 before you get the 7mm to make taking down those medium sized animals a lot easier. All the other tips though, I 100% agree with. Also happy 4/20 day

Just starting out in this game with my son on our Xbox’s.. Seems like it is going to be a pretty fun game to play.. Taking a break away from all the Battle royals games… haha much more relaxed
Hyperion and 7mm aren't available at start. You have to have quite some points. I use the 30.06 which also works way better at start. How is the 7mm better for beginners?
The best thing I can tell anyone is if your just starting out and needing money and experience points. Is to walk up wind wherever you go and you will run into more animals then you probably want too. Me I'm completely leveled up so I don't even worry about shooting everything I see anymore I just hunt the big bucks gold and diamonds. If you buy some of the weapons packs or do curtain missions on maps you'll get so of the best rifles on the game. I prefer the 303 it's more accurate and more controllable then the 30.06. I got it in a mission the one with the downed helicopter it's been so long ago I can't remember witch map the mission is on. Been hunting with it ever since and no complaints from me.
A decent rifle? Forget about other DLC maps if you're a newbie and just get the Te Awaroa map to gain access to the .303 rifle for free through the story mode imo. I know, older players dislike that map as it is somewhat bland, repetitive and no predator animals but the .303 rifle is an absolute must have beast + Te Awaroa map is good for newbies who are grinding as it offers plenty of lower class animals to hunt and helps new players to get accustomed to the game. Equally important is that there will be no predators that are going to bother you in the map save for feral pigs that can hurt you when cornered.
Id never promote this normally but... for new players honestly the best way to get a little head start is to shell out the 4 bucks for one of the many weapon packs, especially the new AR pack. The DLC guns come free when you buy the DLC all have to do is buy Ammo and buy a decent scope and you're set on weapons for a while. I have most the weapon packs and honestly the guns you get in most are pretty good and the packs themselves aren't expensive. $15 Xbox card and boom you have like 10 new guns that are all free in game
"ive only used the scents and sprays once or twice but never really found a good use out of em" dont mean to sound so critical but i think that kind of invalidates the entire point, you cant only use something once or twice and say its garbage
Super late to the party, but thanks a ton for these videos! Apologies as my answer may get answered in another "pro tips" video (I'm watching those next), but as a new player with no DLC, do you think it's better to save and get the Hyperion scope first? Or just straight up save everything until you get the 7mm?
I’d say the 7mm is better to buy first, the starting scope isn’t great but it’s enough, plus once you have the 7mm it’ll be alot to easier to stack up the cash. Also thanks for watching foreal, really glad I could help!
@@RiskyYT Thanks so much man! Your videos have been super helpful. I think I bought a bow for a mission, but I'll start saving for the 7mm from here on out. Much appreciated!

I'm new and I'm trying to play bow only . Currently only have a bear claw. I've been playing in ambush style from hides ,trees ECT it's been awesome. Loving the game I'm just looking for good spots anyone knows to wait on big stuff?
Rifles work pretty well generally, its just a matter of personal preferences. Shotgun for short range, rifles for long range, and bow can be used for both but more to short range. Dogs are worth it, just get one it helps a lot. I dont know what documents you are talking about here, so ill just leave it just like this.
What about the scent eliminator? Do you use it? I've been playing since it came out on console and I use it all the time but I don't know if it really works lol
The scent eliminator is a pretty useful thing when tracking animals down or hunting, they hide your scent which makes it easier to kill the animal if the wind goes to the same way the animal is.
