I'm a new player who really appreciates this video and your efforts, thank you. I have been doing okay this far, but with keeping all these tips in mind it should really up my game!
The directional audio bugs in this game really makes it harder. Especially for things like raccoons. Often the spatial audio is reversed and you have to intentionally go the other way to find them.
I found the directional audio dont eork period. About every call the animals make flood both sides of my headset as if the animal is right on top of me.
I think I've done all of those, except for the backpack. I've used bags, but always intentionally as the first thing I noticed what the increase in noise and spotting. But running? Hell yes! :D I'm not a patient man by any stretch of imagination, so I find myself using ATVs and running :D ATVs I mainly use for getting the cabins, etc., but I tend to run around like a jackrabbit :D
I find it really funny that I have a lot of experience hunting in real life, and like maybe 1% of that will transfer over into this game. Mostly being able to understand the calls and what calls they are without having to like. Hit the button for it. Big shock. Absolutely love the game. Absolutely love your channel😊
“Success in this game requires patience”. Yes it does and a few dollars. Started 5 am and sat till 6:30 almost 7 am in a stand for three days in a row, ducks quaking.. because of my game glitching and a duck was flying circles the first time. @@crunch9876you would spend days walking around without crossing by animals that way. Same with the fishing game. If they just roamed around you could fish all day and not find any. Spawn mechanics are what allow us to reliably hunt.
I always place my tripods at 150m as that is the spook distance and I can then adjust or put it down while the animals are there. It also gives me spot-on zeroing and the ammo which is "good for 150m" will have 100% power at this range. (No drop-off yet. The drop-off can be brutal!) 150m does give me a slightly slower approach to the tripod from the last 25m to avoid spooking them though. You can crouch but should not crouch-run.
Does it effect zones if you leave tripods or tents? I get that it spooks them and to drop tents 250-300 and tripod 175 but really curios seeing maps with loads of tents. Only 2 months in on this game and trying to grind all zones before starting to seriously start hunting .?
@@OldDungeonMaster If you "spawn in" a tent (aka fast travel to or load into) then any wildlife that happens to wander past will be spooked. Any wildlife that is at their zone closer than 250-300m from tent will simply be invisible to you and they will not spook by you. If you fast travel to the tent and walk 300m away then sneak back you will see the animals are now there and can be shot. You can also test this by finding need zones that are somewhat close placing tents on both so that the tents are both 300m away from the other zone. You can jump between them and shoot the herd at the other tent. This works great across lakes. The latest adjustments seem to allow placing tripods 150m away from animals without them spooking but they may (based on their hearing) go alert. They do not appear to scare animals other than this, and do not seem to prevent animals from spawning or rendering in.
Your videos helped me a lot. I’m getting more and more catches and rare animals. You’ve earned a new subscriber! I love your videos. Thank you so much for all your help.
I watched one video of yours of the 10 tip guide and all i had to do was change ammo from SP to Polymer for .243 and .270 rounds. Ik youre not supposed to but i use the .270 on blacktail and whitetail and it drops them from well over 200 yards. Id get like 5 animals in the matter of half an hour but now in that time id get like 10 to 20 by fast traveling
A trick i learned is. If you aproach a small clearing and got a good vantage point. Fire a warning shot it'll scare them out. Got me a nice Black bear and a turkey in one go doing that
Its so funny to me how much i like this game despite the fact that anyone that knows me would never in a million years think id ever play a hunting game
That part about skill points is probably the only thing I consider negative about this game aside from the occasional bugs. I wish they'd let us keep leveling up enough to unlock everything, or at least make the respec much cheaper if it's a big part of their vision and they want to keep us from getting overpowered or something.
Thanks for the video. I’ve been playing this game on and off for a couple of years now and I never knew backpacks scared off diamonds. I feel like such a noob 😂
my "perfect" hunt playthrough is no backpacks, tents (but i still use deer stands and ground blinds), i use the dog bc i have all of my hints turned off and i dont run and gun, ill sit in a stand for up to 2 hours just for one shot
Hey Lady thanks so much for the tips in this video I had restarted my game played around till level 17 came to New Zealand map did the missions decide to not leave a tent near Red Deer drink zone and because of that I caught me a level 9 Red Deer diamond a 256 score
this only works when the scope has been paired with the firearm first, which you obviously have to do every time you select a new arm assuming you dont use loadouts. I cant speak to loadouts as i havent set any up yet.
I do all of these, except backpack hunting. Thanks for fixing my hunting cause holy smokes bow hunting while making all these Mistakes is definately hard
I get your idea on running until 200m, however you should stop at double that. The thing is there are plenty of rest/feed zones near lakes and rivers too. Most of the time a animal will go from a rest or a feed to a drink viseversa. The best thing i always do i use a quad blitz around find the zones look at the times then hunt accordingly.
First off let me say you put out great videos & I’m sure they help many others, especially ones new to the game. I do have to respectfully not agree with you telling people not to use backpacks. I have always used the largest , Explorer 6000 pack & never had issues with Diamonds coming into my tripod within 20-30 yds. As long I have a good wind. My personal hunting style is set up for an Ambusher rather than a stalker. So my personal preference is to carry all the weapons needed to take out a diamond that crosses my path of any animal type on the map, w/o having to go back to a tent/outpost to change weapons or resetting the time. The ability to carry 32 lbs/14.5 kg is a huge asset for me personally. The negative side is while traveling to a drinking zone, I have to stop running/walking about 20yds (I’ve never been able to narrow it down exactly) sooner than if I had no pack. So 20 or so yards is not much of a difference compared to being able to carry a full loadout IMHO. Anyway I hope you take this as it was meant, as a respectful difference of opinion based on my personal style & experience. Keep cranking out these awesome videos! Thanks
I love you so much your videos are just nice and entertaining. Thanks for the tips on zone distance. also thanks for the consideration for those of us who are old school and use imperial not metric
I had a few questions. First, why do the animals see me quickly when I'm on the hunting seat? And if we have a lot of things with us, do the animals notice us sooner?
I'm not sure. I'd have to test that. Animals won't see you sooner based on what inventory you're carrying. It will if you're wearing a backpack though!
i have the big backback when i want to place a tent or something, when i placed the tent i just put away the backpack without having to free space for the tent
For croc/predator hunting you should take a dog, the dogs start barking when a predator or aggressive animal is approaching or near, a crocodile was charging at me and my dog started barking, it saved me, also i was claiming a kangaroo and one squared up and my dog barked, i shot him in the lung so fast😂
Thanks for this. I'm just a casual gamer, got 110 hours into this game and only killed 2 diamonds across all maps and no unique fur colours.. I wouldn't say I'm as dedicated to this game as other players who camp in one spot ect, I just casually walk across the maps shooting what I can mainly for fun
For what it’s worth, I got a Diamond Whitetail the other day wearing the huge pack. I use it to go around setting up tents/tripods/decoys not even necessarily hunting. Heard the warning call, crouched & it was less than 200 yards. I’d theorize that the spook radius update may have helped with backpacks also...even so, still wouldn’t advocate for using packs to hunt.
I wish placing tree stands wasn't so loud.. it almost makes them useless to use. I tried to crawl near a zone and set them up but it turns the noise meter full red and spooks everything. Not sure why it should do that when the game let's you fast travel tent to tent and climb free standing stands that let's you mow down anything in all directions.. its almost like the game wants you to do nothing but warp to drink zones to hunt.. I hate doing that.
so i am curious about the backpacks in this game, i know there are perks you can get that reduce your noise and visibility under certain conditions, do these effect backpacks because if so i might end up using the fanny pack alongside them
is the render distance for animals still that far when spawning in a tent? did something change, maybe on next gen consoles or something? i have a few tents at 150meter and its still spawning
Hey lady I don’t know if it works on pc but on ps4 you can change your ammo and sight in the weapon wheel and it’s so much easier and faster to change a sight or ammo real quick.
Great vid I just got back from a break from the game and wondered why I went from decent to a bit meh during a hunt :-). I enjoy watching all your content but I dont get to like or comment a lot of the time (TV wont let me). Tx for bringing me back into the game!
I wouldn’t say I plays the game to trophy hunt etc. I love this game just to hop on, sit back and relax while hunting as I please. Not caring what I spook and how I choose to hunt :).
Run around the map, slow down when you get to about 150 meters from the edge of the lake and start walking and spotting. Spot around the entire lake before shooting so you don't spook something great before you even see it.

so i am curious about the backpacks in this game, i know there are perks you can get that reduce your noise and visibility under certain conditions, do these effect backpacks because if so i might end up using the fanny pack alongside them
is the render distance for animals still that far when spawning in a tent? did something change, maybe on next gen consoles or something? i have a few tents at 150meter and its still spawning
Have you do half million only hunting or in what way have you do ?
Have the .22- 243- 308- 338- shotgun and a binoculars and no back pack and can shoot all animals on all maps without changing gear
Hey lady I don’t know if it works on pc but on ps4 you can change your ammo and sight in the weapon wheel and it’s so much easier and faster to change a sight or ammo real quick.
How do you keep the highlight on the animals?
So...if I shouldn't wear a backpack, what essential items should I be carrying? Also did you do a beginner skill guide?
Kill stuff
Great vid I just got back from a break from the game and wondered why I went from decent to a bit meh during a hunt :-). I enjoy watching all your content but I dont get to like or comment a lot of the time (TV wont let me). Tx for bringing me back into the game!
Welcome back!
on lakes like in layton where they’re too small to be able to render everything with multiple hunting structures what do you do?
I wouldn’t say I plays the game to trophy hunt etc. I love this game just to hop on, sit back and relax while hunting as I please. Not caring what I spook and how I choose to hunt :).
What weapon would you recommend for rifles lady?
Question. Does the headlamp hurt your stealth at day/night? I've noticed the indicator doesnt change while hidden with it turned on at night.
No it makes no difference to animals!
@@LadyLegendXO that’s great. Thank you
Is turning the clock back the same as turning it forward to the next day
Danke für's Video und die Arbeit dafür. Grüße an alle! 😄
You’re welcome!
I’m very new to the game what is the best rifle and handgun?
you can place multiple tripods and tents?
What ammo do you need for lions?
Once u buy a pack are you unable to unequip it?
3:32 Which gun might she be using?
What binoculars do you use
Im 13 and highest one i got was gold one reason i barley get any kills is because i dont know were to shoot them.
Behind the shoulder blade on a broadside shot
hey im a big fan i was wonderingwhere should i enter at the lake is there any specific tactics like going inbetween the drinking zones?
Run around the map, slow down when you get to about 150 meters from the edge of the lake and start walking and spotting. Spot around the entire lake before shooting so you don't spook something great before you even see it.
I like your channel. Much better than the brazilian channels about THCotW. (I'm from Brazil) We speak portuguese here, but I can undestand you pretty well. My english is not that bad. 🤭
That's awesome!
Not me getting the achievement spook 1000 animals in the first two days because I’m running around randomly and driving the atv everywhere.
Your my hunter gal who gives me all my information 😂
Thank You
