I always like a fresh start so I can try out new ideas. After you get far enough in the game it loses some variety when all you field are heavy and assault mechs. What are your favorite light or medium mechs?
If you want to use a variety of mechs then just stay in the systems where the story missions are then you will probably only find mechs that are at your level. I don't have any fave light mechs because I never use them but you can't go wrong with the centurion or hunchback for medium and the vulcan is a good little medium mech with small hit boxes as for heavy and assault mechs there's to many to mention but my fave is probably the corsair
The Hunchback with an AC-20 mounted on it is probably my favorite in that range. It’s a good mech to keep around for a good while until you must phase it out to make room for more heavies. Had good success with the Wolverine too.
Light mech for me is the Javelin. Good speed, firepower, and durability (especially with the weapons in the torso instead of arms). Medium mechs... Centurion A, Hunchback 4P and 4G, and the Kintaro can be nice for splat brawling.
@@PrivateIdaho my only real advice is once you are close enough, always shoot a spot... try not to spready damage all over... core them, head shot them, or leg them, based on weapons and damage they have at the time, pick the one of those you can do the fastest.
but you for sure used what you had. you did not over reach or skip hitting them at max range when you could. you were rather green not that long ago. :) good job
I really enjoyed this games base story for what it was you know. Never really got the full experience with some friends but still a great game to play and joining random people isn't so bad for the most part lol.
The base game story never really seemed to grab me. The Kestrel Lancers story though had me hooked start to finish. I may tackle the main story again and see if I can stay with it. Or I'll watch Private Idaho do it instead :).
i played quite a bit of this game and except for that "real" first mission and the kestrel lancers i have not seen a mech repair bay. after seeing it in that one mission i thought i would have seen it more and never did. still love this game though.
Man I hadn't played the opening part of the game since before the console version came out. They really upgraded the opening cinematics the original was pretty bad compared to that.

@@TheFatalT I do love that hunchback. The one with all the medium lasers is pretty good too.

this is where your skill shows how much you have grown.
I’ll still make mistakes, but I’m enjoying coming into the missions with more confidence. 👍❤️

@@Scale-Back Thanks! It feels a little weird being back in smaller Mechs.
@@PrivateIdaho yea and you got very used to having a head hunter setup on your mechs.
I have not played this. Game but I played Super Nintendo and ps1 MechWarrior games they were awesome

I’ve tried multiplayer twice now and I enjoyed it. If I can come up with something fun I will incorporate it into the series.

I was just happy to see a second one in the DLC!
you said that "Potatoes" wasn't very original but its kind of amazing because "potato" is slang on Mechwarrior Online for "unskilled teammate"
The AI are definitely potatoes. :-)
I almost forgot I played the original ones on OG Xbox

I’m gonna go back and rewatch my first video and see what it looked like.
@@PrivateIdaho nah. the game was out on PC through Epic an entire year before the console release. the console always had the better intro.
Do u ever play co-op hit me up. Kraven24
Will do. I’ll add you to the list. :-) I haven’t had a chance to play co-op with anyone in a long time.
