- Space movie with never seeing a trailer or anything for this movie comes a hopeful hidden gem kind of movie.
A psychological thriller starring Casey Affleck and Laurence Fishburne, SLINGSHOT follows an elite trio of astronauts aboard a years-long, possibly compromised mission to Saturn’s moon Titan. As the team gears up for a highly dangerous slingshot maneuver that will either catapult them to Titan or into deep space, it becomes increasingly difficult for one astronaut to maintain his grip on reality.

The movie would have been a lot better if the ending was left ambiguous and it didn’t show what happens in the end
I figured out the mystery with probably like 30 minutes left then they did an incredible job of making you doubt it lol

Question do you prefer a full and excited audience or to be in a near empty cinema? I actially like it slower in the moviehouse b/c alot of audience members are on their phone or taping the movie to put parts of it on TH-cam. I like it when there are just a few folks in movie houses.
Probably near empty but then there certain movies I feel a crowd adds to it

I loved and hated this film! The sci-fi part was excellent, but all that flashback stuff should have been jettisoned. And OH!! That ending(s) just pissed me off!!

Such a weird time for theatrical releases, but I think that's a good thing in the end for competition sake and for up and coming indie filmmakers, less IP and more original and creative content is always applauded by me, even if it's just an A for effort.
I’ve never heard of “Slingshot”, but I do know that there is a “Slingshot” song, sung by Jack Griffo, and this was during him filming a Nickelodeon TV Movie called “Jinxed”, along with Big Time Rush’s Ciara Bravo, who is the lead in that movie, and it’s a movie about a lady named Meg Murphy, who tries to break The Murphy’s Bad Luck curse, but it’s not easy.

I just saw it. I was alone in the theater and to me it was slow moving, boring, drab, and a real slow slow burn. I always found Casey Affleck dry as hell and this movie was like watch paint dry. Skip it.
