Since I flew US Navy, allow me: the first Hornet was from VFA-103, the Jolly Rogers squadron, and the second was from VFA-143, the Pukin Dogs (no, I did not forget a "g"). GREAT and very clear video, thanks for posting it!!!

Fun fact, Omega just acquired 2 KDC-10's from the Royal Netherlands Air Force after they converted to KC-30 MRTT. They have glass cockpits much like the MD-10 and will have boom and drogue capability
BTW, the long, full wheel roll was VERY unusual for FLY NAVY.... they are used to trapping a 3-wire (the ideal/target cable) and full thrust to make sure there is no bolter (missing all four "wires") and thus having enough power fly off and go around for another "call the ball" action.
Canadian Plane Spotter .the first KC10 that ever left the US,i helped unload, still got the hat and pictures.Lovely a/c,did many more after that,in the 80's...Happy days...
Super incredible footage of the 2 x F/A-18F Super Hornet and the DC-10 Omega Tanker 😎🤩👍

Navy crews routinely operate from land bases when not deployed to the carrier. So not unusual at all.
Absolute Stunning video!! Great sound aswell. Awesome catches
Cheers Buddy, you can't beat that noise haha.

Rare bird sighting!
Thanks for Watching :)
Epic man!
Thanks Man.
Nice video ✈️
Thanks Gary :)
Are those armed? Looks like sidewinders and another missle on wing tips.
Thanks for Watching. I have no idea, sorry.
The underwing ones look like AMRAAM to me
AIM-9X on the wingtip and AIM-120 AMRAAM under the wing. Inert weapons though, just for training.
blue bands on the missiles = inert munitions. Brown and yellow bands = lives
Lov usa love amerik
Seeing super hornets aero brake doesn’t look right😂
Yeah its weird. Thanks for Watching :)
