What do you think your best rank would be on a Xbox controller, just curious(is there a ceiling for XBOX controllers)? I am an old AOE player from back in the day... Fared better then most my first time back for about 17 years away from pc game with a xbox controller. Took the tutorial, and I am very happy with the game play. I tend to do better in the first to ages with the XBOX controller then the pc players, But decline as time advances, mainly because there is to much stuff going on and hard to keep track of everything with limited controls, but in the early stages, auto economy works well, but later when you have to constantly shift between resources it becomes un efficient. Rebuilding labor camps in close proximity on time, seems to be a weakness; i see too many villagers not working proficient, walking 5 miles to get 10 of wood when there is closer resources . I have a lot of questions about controls and cant find XBOX manual anywhere, like one dumb question is how to ring the villagers in; but was able to find that out here from your videos. Hope we can improve this xbox experience. ........................Also wondering if you plug a regular keyboard and mouse into XBOX will the controls be the same as PC. THXX.
Lol yeah dude, I'm 9-0 right now on ranked 1v1 Xbox ladder. Smashed all my placement games and in Plat 1. The level of competition is definitely worse on console, Plat players on xbox are about equal in skill as bronze/silver on PC. Idk if it's the controls or if people just never played aoe4 before.
The game is out less than one month on console u cant compare it to the PC cause people have way more playtime in the game. A lot of people like me watch AOE 4 but never play so it will take sometime until we actually get experience and be good.
I think a lot of console players just don’t know how play the game still I’d imagine that will change. Honestly, just since I started playing at the end of November the level of competition and amount of players has seemed to increase of the past two months alone.
High level controller vs controller games are extremely difficult bc of the difficulty of micro and the smaller room for error.. it’s like comparing European and NA pro hockey.. same game but different nuances and slightly different parameters involving the play
@@FitzBro No I'm playing skirmish against the AI. I've noticed all military production buildings freezing production after loading a save game. The only way to restart making units is to destroy the building and build a new one. Another bug in one game saw my wood and gold resource went to over 100k negative getting worse over time.
I have not made one in a bit, but it's something I could consider making. If you check out my twitch VOD from yesterday, I played a Malian game with trade and cow boom on The Pit.
