Funny how there’s an entry about the sentient mammoth and bear-rug, ignoring the fact that interacting with the octopus in Nautical Exhibit of the Treacherous Mansion causes it to slap Luigi but he only takes two damage. On a related note; there are separate entries for both the new Poltergust models none for either the 3,001 model from Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga or even the Super Poltergust model that the player earns for reaching the last money milestone. This isn’t really a point against the video, it’s just some weird inconsistencies that happen to notice. Still really enjoyed the video.👍
Personally I think Dark Moon was the best Luigi's Mansion, although I do wish it were a free mode format like the others. Or it at least would have been cool to unlock a free-roam feature after you clear a mansion
@RedHatGuyYT I said a free mode format... as in you are free to roam any room of the mansion and certain missions begin with certain triggers. It feels slightly less restrictive than only having access to certain sections during certain missions, especially to those who like exploring every piece of a map (like myself). I'm glad they went back to that style of gameplay for Luigi's Mansion 3, where missions were based on which floor you chose, gained access to more floors as you progressed, but had the ability to go back to previous areas easily if you missed something. Apologies for not being clear.
@RedHatGuyYT Even though you need to reload older missions to backtrack and get things you missed, especially after unlocking new equipment. Perhaps a compromise would be having a mission selection menu (similar to the GTA V Mission Replay) for missions you have completed, say, if you needed to revisit a boss or an area under certain conditions. That way, you can go back freely to collect certain collectibles, but still need to replay missions for specific events. As a kid, I found it annoying having to revisit certain (more difficult or tedious) missions to collect forgotten gems, etc.
Finally someone else talks about how there should be extra rooms in gloomy manor and how it doesn't make sense when you look at the front of the mansion and how there's 3 rooms in the front of the first floor and the rest of the mansion is in the back
It can be just explained by overlooks really. They put all the rooms in the back for puzzle and layout reasons, but kept the rooms at the front down to only a few as Gloomy Manor is the tutorial mansion. They didn't change the front exterior of the mansion so that it would still look intimidating even though the rooms above the entrance don't exist in game
15:43 No. Elevator is not impossible. If you watch closer, you find a very thick column at the common Hall in th first floor. This column is a elevator mine. Weird, that there isn't any entrance to the elevator on this floor.
My comment got deleted for some reason but thanks for the shoutout! The iceberg has expanded considerably since I made this in 2022, with the updated version on the iceberg charts website. You can also check out the Luigi's Mansion 3 Iceberg there if anyone is interested :)
The sample of Gooigi, that e gadd gave him in the 3DS Remake is based off of a story preview they did, explaining gooigis existence. It is hosted on Nintendo's Website.
I think you didn't understood the GHOST, we're not talking about the ghosts but the fact that the first letter of each world, possesors and bonus missions spell GHOST. For Fright night, the description has reference to Super Mario Bros., he searchs for his princess but everytime he's told "sorry, but our princess is in another castle." Probably something for Clown fishy to but I don't know it.
i think that the GHOST entry does not refer to the actual ghosts but it's pointing at the fact that the initials of each mansion spell the word "GHOST": G-loomy Manor H-aunted Towers O-ld Clockworks S-ecret Mine T-reacherous Mansion
5:30 King Boo can be seen again on mission D-3 in the Secret Mine while Luigi is riding the "skilift" to the right to the Workshop where the boss battle takes place. 17:15 Fortunately Luigi's Mansion 2 can be bought for Nintendo Switch in the near future.
This is kinda half baked. If you're gonna do iceberg video you need to have footage or something for each entry. Also suprised this iceberg didnt mention the beta old clock tower room seen in trailers, it has a unidentified figure fly past the window and a coat neck stuck between 2 gears, which implies that one of the "horrific accidents" was a guy getting his head cutoff by gears. Easily the most disturbing thing from the game's development.
hi, the iceberg shown in this video is my original version - what you mention about the old clockworks is on the updated and much much bigger iceberg on the icebergcharts site :) as for the video, I hope someone makes a new one for the updated iceberg someday!

I personally liked the linear design although that might just be because dark moon was my first
literally all the games are linear, and what would the point of a free-roam mode even be? just walk around empty rooms?

@@dozerfarms okay, but you explore each part of the map throughout the game anyways so it doesn't even matter

Now that I think about it, that hallway doesn’t make sense other than to teach you the running mechanics
@@EpicAndrew97 yes true. Treacherous mansion makes sense tho
The architecture of the Gloomy manor really make no sense. My working theory is that the mansion is an illusion or has a ghostly curse on it.

Great video always loved this game and I can't be more the an happy that it's being ported to the switch.

Love this game someone finally did this for Dark Moon

king boo's crown isn't a dark moon piece as it is used to destroy the dark moon.
This game was my first Luigi's Mansion game to beat

@@EpicAndrew97 Really? I only remember hearing a Boo's laugh when Luigi crosses that bridge.
there is alsoa star trek reference where E. Gadd says, "Fortune favors the bold"
I like Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon or Luigi's Mansion 2 a lot too, even more than Luigi's Mansion 3, I think.
Fun fact, there is a texture for an early version of the ScareScraper for the "collected moon piece" map.
Hi, do you have a source for this so I can add it to the iceberg? Thanks :)
@@Depressypenne27 Should be somewhere inside art\Levels\Bunker\Art\NIS\Next_Mansion_Reveal iirc. The HD version has a higher res texture for it.
