I went past central station today and I met this wonderful band. the melody waffled through the hall. It really brings me a amazing feeling of holiday especially when I am abroad alone. I feel I am included in a group of people around me. It was a warm, calm, homesick-free moment. Thank you and merry christmas.

It isn't Christmas without the Salvation Army band. The sounds bring wonderful memories of my late father who was a dixieland trombone player and loved the SA band. Merry Christmas from Chicago!
Great inspiring comments. As a Salvationist I admit we miss open air bands; now a rare treat. But our work for the physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing continues all year round.
Che Dio vi benedica grandemente tutti ora e in eterno gloria eterna a Dio Padre gloria eterna a Gesù Cristo gloria eterna allo SPIRITO SANTO nei secoli dei secoli senza fine amen Alleluyia
Out town recently had our annual "Candlewalk" and a Salvation Army played with a kettle in the front. I hadn't heard the band since the "old" mall days. My wife and I stopped and listened for awhile. It was like zen lol. Of course I donated.
Brass or Silver bands always make me cry. Especially at Christmas. I am thinking of William Booth and his vision for the reclamation of souls. Such a great mission and ably fulfilled world-wide. Thank you Lord....
I remember the 'open airs' as a child The band playing at Christmas carols under lamp stands outside fingers and valves freezing while others went door to door with the red crest banks asking for donations. Those were the days. I miss them.
I remember doing the same in Winnoipeg Manitoba Canada when our instraments would all freeze because it was so cold, but those were the days! Merry Christmas to you all! God's blessings
I must admit I have had to "correct" those who have spoken badly of these people in my presence or tried to assault them while out in the pubs , I'm not a follower but I know they do real good in places others will not go . Have some respect folks .

Pure carols are hymns. Heavenly music. Unaffected by improvisation. No attempt to guild the Lilly.
Great to hear the carols in Leeds. What is the name of the first tune? I cannot find it in Christmas Praise.
It’s the Snow Waltz
Mr. Bean LOL
Can we get a song list please
Whats is the Name of a Second song?

What are you talking about? I don't understand your comment in relation to this video.
