I tried out some himi gouache I got a while back. I chose to do a color study from princess Mononoke by the artist Tyson Murphy. This will be my first sketchbook of 2023.
You seem to intuitively understand gouache! I love the way you use color in your work... so aesthetically pleasing! When you can, you should invest in better gouache - your art deserves it! Also, I use a stay wet palette (not the huge Masterson one but one made for painting miniatures). If it gets too runny, i just leave the cover off, but I also use that consistency for glazing, so it doesn't bother me. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but it's easy to figure out and makes gouache even more amazing. I hope you upload some of those drawing vids you mentioned in another video 😉😁 Would love to see you create more!

Thanks i'm dedicating this sketch book to better understanding color theory

How do you like the gauche? I hear it dries up pretty badly. Nice piece in the new book.
the Gauche is great fresh but I have to wait and see how it becomes after it dries out, i'm using a spray bottle to keep it moist for now
and you can just do this in any sketchbook??? What kind of sketchbook is this?
