Hey, I Put together this build for anyone wanting a larger starter base for the early game, this base shouldnt take long to construct despite its large size. I hope you all have fun with enshrouded, so far iv been enjoying my time with both the building and the adventuring.
This is exactly what I needed to get comfortable with building. I struggled a bit with this last night and think I have what I need to build something neat. Thank you!
Loved your easy to follow Valheim videos and especially the resource cost. So rad to see that you're creating new videos for Enshrouded. Thanks again and looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
great video , Enshrouded is the first craft survival game I delved into and am struggling with building . this video has been very helpful in learning how to use my building options together to come up with some cool stuff ' thanks very chill and easy to follow .
Oh thank you, you helped a man out here, normaly i can only build bunker houses lol. But now i managed to get my own cozy home. Thank you very much, you made my day my good man. Cheers from Norway
Nice build. Inspired me to make a bigger house not just the little hut i have now. Feels awkward building due to all to many hours in Valheim but i will get there eventually. Thx for sharing and keep sharing pls :)
Thank you, and It was awkward to get used to the building at first for me too, I still have some trouble with some aspects of the building system in enshrouded but it definitely gets more intuitive.
Just wanted to say thank you for posting these. you helped me make a nice storage house in valhiem!. i can't build houses for crap in these games but your guides really help me!. thank you again!!!!
I'm glad that they help out :D more builds for enshrouded are coming soon and given my boxes are starting to get full, it's very likely that one of those things will be a storage house soon
Solid guide. I started following you for Valheim builds early on. Its your attention to detail that gets me. Its more then just foundations, ceiling, 4 walls and a door. Your builds are both aesthetic and functional. I built this base on my solo server. The build went smooth except for when it was time to place storage boxes. For some reason, I can only place 6 storage boxes at those wall indents by the stairs yet in your video I can see you have 9 stacked... Nevertheless, thank you for this.
Thank you :D I'm glad you enjoy the builds, for that part under the stairs, the gap between the stone pillars needs to be 6, each box takes up 2 x 2 x 2 cubes or bricks of space. I would try moving the pillars closest to the side walls out a few more bricks because you will most likely still be able to get under the stairs easy enough with a little less space on either side.
I hate that, that was the answer I figured it was some design aspect that had to be changed so I was out here smacking off blocks at a time, thanks for the help chief@@diamondjoe4697
Great guide! Shows a lot of what is possible with this building system. I will be picking up this game for sure! Question- does this game have a creative mode?
I don't think it does, but after a few hours of playing, you have so many resources that building large structures is very possible I only played for a few hours and had 10,000 of every starting building block to play around with.
The first couple of builds will most likely be starter stuff to help newer players, but i'm looking forward to using some of the higher tier materials :D
Great build!! I made this house and it came together beautifully. I was watching other build videos and all the people who were building said roofs are a pain but I had no problem with yours. I like how you used snapping, which made building the roof easy. I love how you made the area for the storage boxes too!. Thanks for showing me how to make a lovely home!
I will say people are right about roofs being a pain, but I spent some time trying to find a good way to give clear instructions for it which I'm very glad it was helpful, enjoy your new base!
Not sure if it's because im using a different material but for me, the roof top doesn't fill the gaps like it does in the video at 12:20. Guess I'll fill the gaps manually with more Roof Side panels and it should work out the same. Edit: Not sure what's going on but there's something off. Sometimes measurements dont seem to match yours but i double checked every step. Dunno, maybe I just made the whole house 1 block shorter somehow, otherwise I have no idea. Anyway with some manual adjustment everything still works out in the end.
no have the same issue, the whole house ended up being 1 tile short in width. Then it hit me, when I first placed the walls I put the frontside of the house on the edge of the 1nd floor tile, but in the video he put them at the edge of the 2nd floor tile. It is barely noticable, but it's a whole tile off. To compare check how many fence blocks you put at 6:40. He puts 7 in the video. I figured that I only placed 6.
Very nice. I was going to build a little village with shops for the npcs yesterday and realized there's only 90 degree rotation and got discouraged :/ I hope they fix that.
5:35, am I the only one annoyed by this? The single stone blocks in the to corner don't snap into a curved shape, like they did on all the other wall sides. I had this same thing happening to me and I was wondering if I did something wrong, rebuild the entire side of the house, still no diagonal. Then I continue watching and the same thing happens to you. Is it a bug?
I'm not entirely sure, it annoys me as well but Iv learned to sort of blank it out, no build can be perfect after all, just close enough to what you want it to be so that your happy.
Damn you, you goddamn whippersnapper!! I have tried to re-create 3:30-, but it's absolutely impossible. .I.. EDIT: My Flame Altar is facing to the side of my construction! PERKELE!!! 😫
Yeah It confused me as well for a little while, but the 1x1 build tool and then just right click instead of left click to remove cubes. the window frames are 2x3 which is pretty useful to know when planning out how it will look.
Ah.... I struggled with voxel- building last night (this is my first game like that) so I'm really happy of drawing some inspiration from you. Thanks for the video Zeroster! I woul like to know your opinion on this game and building system, I really miss the structural limitations and smoke simulation from Valheim for example, what do you think?
I miss some of the limitations of valheim because they really helped me think of how things should look before even putting a block down. But now I can make porches without a roof over them, and balconies, and a bunch of stuff that couldn't be done in valheim without using stone or having to deal with wood decay. The voxel system was a bit daunting at first, but after a while, the blueprints using snapping became the foundation I use to build ontop of so that's similar enough to valheim for me, then the free placement became the detailing stage, Overall still getting used to the building, but I think they both have incredible building systems.
looks good just wish there was more survival games with building like the forest and sons of the forest where you can place stuff and it shows you placing it rather than spawning it out of thin air. don't need the animations from sons tho.
I'm mad at myself right now... I followed the vid to the letter, watched for the changes to the snapping, everything looks good... then I go to cap the roof and I'm one block off... somehow. I've never had so much trouble with one of your builds before. It's infuriating. I usually pride myself on accuracy.
It's most likely the front wall, when I built this the first time outside of recording I did exactly the same thing. it would be possible to fix somewhat quickly, but it would mean taking down the front wall or extending the back wall by 1 brick,
I had the same issue too. I had to gerry rig it and the house is pretty close but theres some spots that are misaligned. Would have been nice to know beforehand.
@@AZodiacCancer I will most likely try and use different materials for different sections of floor so its much easier to see if things are lined up right in future, something like wood for the main house then stone floors for the porch ect, and add text as well, thanks for the feedback I appreciate it :D
This is so beautiful! Thank you for awesome building! But! Please, don't teach people to build using single block! Please, please! Use the diagonal/ladder walls, vertical and horizontal poles and other ready blocks. Use single block as a last resort! My friends doing the same without any plan and it's so hard to rebuild something after that T_T
Hey, if your having trouble with any part, gimme a heads up which part and I can attempt to help out. the roof is tricky on this build, make sure you have turned off snapping if your having issues with the block snapping to odd places.
I'm not sure why but i cannot get the 4mm roof top to part to work, its just kind of snaps to the left some or to the right but it will not sit even on the 2m roof tiles and i have snapping turned off.
Try positioning the cap one spot higher, see if it centers. When I did it, when the cap was centered it looked to be floating one block too high with gaps beneath it... But it was centered... And when actually placed the gaps got automatically filled in both sides.
The very first place the game tells you to put a base, I put the fire down towards the east of there just because the land is a little nicer than right ontop of the glowing marker.
I have been playing for about 20ish hours now and from everything I have seen no, I haven't had a raid at any time, and I've only been attacked outside of my base when a wolf wanders in. so If I had to guess the base is just a safe place to craft and store stuff Hope this helped
@@phatmhat9174 you can teleport between all the bases you have made which is a good reason to setup more, there is farming a little later on, those are the main things iv found the bases are useful for. but it would be cool to have some sort of base attack like in grounded or 7 days to die.
