To avoid your walls sticking through your ceiling you have 2 options : 1. Place another ceiling over the one you placed, creating basically a double layered ceiling. This is the fastest but also most expensive way. 2. Use the 0.5 m roof tile and put them up along the roof in a line where you want your wall to be. After doing this, i like to add the 0.5m blocks in the material of my wall, and after that i fill it up with whatever wall fits. Unfortunately they will probably never manage this due to the voxel nature of the build system. It would be nice though. On the plus side, performance for large/complex builds should be pretty good (unlike Valheim which doesn't use voxels).
I think they must have changed the rotation keys because the R key no longer rotates an item. I was trying to place the fireplace in a corner so it was facing directly away from the corner but it will only allow me to place it using 90 degree angles.

When your about to start going on a building spree go to your magic chest and pull all your building blocks into your inventory then put them back in the chest, this seemingly unbuggs the materials until you log out or leave camp, just a little work around until it's fixed

I actually bring up the same point in my review (coming soon) But I'm glad I've taken the chance on this. I truly feel that this is going to be a top tier survival game. I'm now just excited as to what else they may have planned!
I can understand the update cadence being mid for valheim, but I believe at launch they were under 4 or 5 devs making that game. So I don't blame them for taking a while.
Neither did I at first, but I feel having doubled the team, and made millions, that we should have had more than 1 large update 2 years on. Which is a shame, though I still love the game.@@titaniumresolve542
@titaniumresolve542 for the consumer, the size of the team makes no difference. We gave them our money with expectation that they would stick to their timelines. They are so so far behind. They did not take their EA proceeds to hire more developers. They failed to capitalize, but they made their money, so I don't know that they care.
I will definitely check out your link for a dedicated server as I am keen on getting one for my friends and I. I just started the game and I love it. Is anyone able to answer this question for me regarding quest progression for people that join your server? Some of the steam reviews had said that personal player quest progression is locked to the owner of the server. Is this true? It would suck for me to be like lvl 15 and my new friend is at level one and can't progress on the quests because he's locked to my quests. My friends and I all play at different times and it would be fun just to play on our own server, but do our own things with bases and occasionally go out in the world.
I'm not sure as I've only played local, (setting up my server now) But if it's that big of an issue from the community, I believe the team will resolve that issue. I'll be keeping up with development, so will share any information I find as I'm enjoying the game so much!

I'm only about 10 hours into Enshrouded and the one thing I wish the game had was more storage space in the chests. YES. I haven't unlocked everything yet. I was so hoping to be able to build Tudor's! The art style in this game is so cute. I love it. The only thing I would change is giving us more 90 degree rotation in the build menu.
Unfortunately it would be really difficult to stack them on top of one another, but I've been considering doing a massive city based on several alters connected together 😊
Will this come to Xbox/PS, or is it exclusively on PC? I love build/crafting survival games as I'm loving Palworld right now, for I had enough of the sniper Greylings of Valheim for the time being. Love Valheim but man, quite brutal sometimes.
Started with terraforming on the side of a mountain and it has made me want to blow my brains out, the scaffolding is god awful and does not snap where I want it to snap. Hopefully they revamp the scaffolding or make it snap better.
Well it was written somewhere that if you are not within a chunk (world part) for 2 hours it will reset. I think the official discord in known bugs. Or FAQ.
I am hating the building at the moment. Having to make the bricks before hand even though I have the mats is annoying, then having to leave the building menu and go into the bag to select them. The camera is a pain and your character blocks the screen a lot and then the bricks wont line up half of the time.
There's certainly a few issues with placement, but on the other hand I think they've made the right choice with building the materials first, because it allows late game materials to be crafted out of the same items. Also it breaks the pieces into multiple for example 2 stone is 100 rough stone blocks. They would either have to up the material production considerably so one stone = 1 block or they'd have to work it out some other way. It's not perfect but I think it works very well
@@TotalXclipse Yea, i just noticed. Building blocks can be rotated 90 degress(obwious) but decor pieces are rotated for something like 5 degrees so its nice. I wish you could rotate the flame shrine so the grid is located as you want tho...
i hope there will be attacks on base/buildings like in valheim, otherwise its lame and all u need is a tiny house and a bed. also progress is server based, so if u have a dedicated server and you do quests, other people that come later can not do the quests that u already did. very bad game design
this is not simple my guy lol. ive played almost every crafting survival game and this is the worst. i should be able to choose the piece and put it down but instead we have to pre craft blocks before hand? its dumb as hell to me.

I'm playing it now and it's pretty awesome. Haven't had a single issue with it in nine hours of gameplay.
Thanks for the video :) If I understood correctly, you are unable to dig and keep a basement in single player mode?
Yes You can dig and keep a basement, providing it's within the outpost / alter boundaries
Thanks @@TotalXclipse :D I absolutely love digging :3
@@TotalXclipsequest progress and world edit changes are reset when the server resets so you'll probably want to set up a daily restart cycle until they decide how to solve the problem
The quests are not locked to the server owner they are just server based. Which means if someone does it other people can't do it after that.
Clicked on this thinking it was a character/stat build, I guarantee I'm not alone in this
But the video thumbnail has a building on it 😅
@@TotalXclipse Fair enough lol didn't even realize
I'm only about 10 hours into Enshrouded and the one thing I wish the game had was more storage space in the chests. We are playing as a three man team and even with 4 chests being built, they are full constantly. Larger chests or chests with more storage would be really helpful.
Am I the only one wishing for more storage space? Thanks
Larger storage space is unlocked later - I've currently got huge storage chests and apparently there's more further in :)
@@TotalXclipse Oh thanks mate. Yeah, I am hoping that we get larger storage chests and hopefullly a larger inventory. We are REALLY enjoying this game! ! !
@@CptnSavage Don't know if you are at that point yet but you unlock Bags or Backpacks from the Hunter which give you more Inventory slots and you get larger and larger chest the more you play the game. Theres even magical chests which give you the ability to be able to craft straight from the chest and you don't need to have everything in your inventory.
@@jaxonka2005 FANTASTIC! ! ! I was hoping you could expand the backpack. One of my mates crafted the magical chest, and I'm working on leveling up my character in the Hunter skill tree. Thank you for taking the time to offer help and an explanation. I'm really enjoying the game so far and other then dying from falling off cliffs and into the red shroud areas, I'm doing okay. lol Thanks again. I hope you enjoy yourself!
is there any good mods for this game
not yet
YES. I haven't unlocked everything yet. I was so hoping to be able to build Tudor's! The art style in this game is so cute. I love it. The only thing I would change is giving us more 90 degree rotation in the build menu.
So i cant build round building!?😢
certainly not yet :(
How cool would it be for someone to build a multi alter base under ground xD can’t wait to see what people build with this game.
They've confirmed that it will come to Xbox S so you're in Luck!
It looks like those fake mobile game ads but this time the shown gameplay actually is the game 😂
Really, there must be an opportunity to craft using stuff from chests around!
There is using the magic chests but they're occasionally bugged
@totalxclipse new video idea: best locations for your home base.
Yep, already been looking into that as well - Have a ton of videos I want to do!
i think the eq of the voice has too much low end. I like the game tho, not sure if I buy
Game is amazing!!! Play it!
Or FAQ.
Oh that's good to know Thank you!
Why not just live in a pre-built house?
You absolutely can if you want to
So basically Medieval Engineers without the physics and small grid blocks and added fantasy element
Thats like saying Fortnite is the same as PUBG because it is Battle Royale aswell.
@@jaxonka2005 fortnite is basically cartoonified pubg with added building element
@@StodOneR 💀💀
so building is putting those little cubes one at a time? this is time consuming
It's not perfect but I think it works very well
Ye Olde Rust?
For the love of god how do you tear something down that you accident put. I don't understand why this isn't simple
Press Y to undo? Or right click
COuld you technically rebuild one of the cities
I've been thinking about giving it a go :)
I wish I could move my flame without losing everything.
Life is feudal the way should Have been
Pickaxe? No…no…no punching is the way to go 😂
No rotating objects? Sad?
You can rotate objects but it's not full free rotation. Building pieces like floors and walls can be rotated 90 degrees 4 times.
@@TotalXclipse Yea, i just noticed. Building blocks can be rotated 90 degress(obwious) but decor pieces are rotated for something like 5 degrees so its nice.
I wish you could rotate the flame shrine so the grid is located as you want tho...
Ahhh...you're killing me. Now i want to play another time consuming game like satisfactory again.
One of Us! One of Us! One of Us! :D Seriously, well worth it!
i wish we could eliminate fog inside our builds
Same! Perhaps we'll get command options available later!
Holy fps Batman
The snapping on this game is extremely frustrating
i hope there will be attacks on base/buildings like in valheim, otherwise its lame and all u need is a tiny house and a bed.
also progress is server based, so if u have a dedicated server and you do quests, other people that come later can not do the quests that u already did. very bad game design
this is not simple my guy lol. ive played almost every crafting survival game and this is the worst. i should be able to choose the piece and put it down but instead we have to pre craft blocks before hand? its dumb as hell to me.
The ultimate build guide also I haven’t discovered all the building materials. Just kidding it’s just jokes the video is pretty good.
Build materials come and go but as long as you have the right foundations in place it doesn't matter :p
i cant even play the game.. RTX 3080TI 12GB card with a I9 9900k. everything max, above 70 fps but the game is choppy and sluggy as hell feels like it runs at 33-40 fps.
hmm really odd you have a similar system to me, yet I'm not having sluggy / choppyness except for a few rare moments and I'm playing in 40k Quality settings (max quality I struggle with though)
More survival slop :/
It's an awesome game. If you don't like it, don't get it
POS game... should have been made in Unreal Engine 5 and with proper character animations and physics like Conan Exiles.
The game's fantastic. I'd rather have Enshrouded than a carbon copy of Conan Exiles
Conan exiles has bugs that have been in the game since release years ago. You also cannot manipulate the terrain.
The only thing keeping Conan Exiles alive are the modders or the game would have died years ago
....Really, you said that? They basically carbon copied Conan Exile's interface and then some. @@TotalXclipse
And Conan Exiles will remain miles more popular than Enshrouded will years from now. Enshrouded will be abandoned really quickly after the initial week's honeymoon period has worn off. @@raeraeella6426
There's so many games incredibly similar to one another, this is more like Valheim IMO than Conan Exiles and it plays how I wanted Valheim to be. If you dislike the game that's fine, but personally it's great and something I'm glad they're developing. If you want Conan Exiles in UE5 great, but speak to the devs about that@@JynxedKoma
