    I'd love to see a "never ending recycled resin" series. In each episode of the series you would use the recycled resin from the episode before to make something completely different. As the series goes it might become more and more colourful. Also curious if it would even work recycling recycled resin a heap of times

    Nice project! One small tip - the way you were using the files under the turning screw meant you were basically cutting with the back edge of the teeth. If you lay the files on top rather than underneath next time, they will cut a lot faster!

    I love the way the coffee is so evenly threaded and dispersed throughout. I had suspected it would sink downwards.
    PS They all look amazing, kind of mesmerising too👁️👁️. I used to love holding marbles up to the light and looking at all the detail inside and I think the 3 coffee thread items would be wicked to do the same with❤️

    Watching the shapes get cut on the lathe gave me an idea. What if you took an LED lightbulb and surrounded it with some funky colored resin, then shaped it back into a lightbulb that could be plugged in? Just a thought I had. No idea if it would work.

  • @christmassnow3465
    @christmassnow3465 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think the work came out quite impressing. Not only the resin shavings became transparent (possibly thanks to the vacuum chamber) but the dark stain of the coffee beans on the old shavings gave a nice effect. It is a good idea, after all, to recycle the shavings the way you did, because you cannot melt it and reuse it just like ordinary plastic.

  • @lynniev
    @lynniev 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Shape 3 is my fave. I was guessing a shift knob but a coffee tamper is the perfect use for this recycled resin!!

  • @CihaPet

    The result was not dramatic, but still cool the way the original bean shapes were still detectible within the castings. A cool way of reusing the shavings and into something theme related of their former glory.

  • @rockymits

    IMHO, I think spreading the used resin over 6 cups or perhaps even 8 cups would have given a much more brilliant transparent look. But then again, without seeing the 3ct darker version, this observation would not have been possible. Your work is amazing!

    Hello, I actually looked up your channel just cus i had an idea about resin recycling and was amazed to see the title of the video!!! My idea was that you could save all the shavings from all the projects and at one point melt them down or pack and cast them into a singular brick mold, and just keep repeating that process until you have a whole (continuously growing) giant lego set or bricks for an outdoor walkway. just thinking, keep it up as always beautiful work and wonderful vids!!!
