My adult daughter has been in the hospital since Saturday. They told me she had to wait until today 4 days later for my daughter to be offered the HIPAA release form.. Because of the holiday as they had no social worker the holiday weekend . I totally understand the ethics behind HIPPA patient privacy . But I’m not understanding how a mother offering input. For the intake relative to patient care . not asking for anything in return .. Is being rejected.. she may have been trafficked. They aren’t interested .
