Jamerrill, I have been watching your struggle and silent growth the past year....all while your garden seemingly struggled and has been experiencing silent growth for you to find. There has to be some divine parallel here. And all while watching this video, the hymn "For the Fruits of His Creation" kept going through my mind. Those lyrics are so specific to your garden situation! Holy Spirit moment? Continued prayers for you!!
So true! I kept thinking the Lord is providing the beauty of flowers as you look at your garden and He is also providing sustenance of potatoes for your children the two most important things to fill you with Joy. Accept His gift with open arms!
I really understand what you mean about being emotional going in to your garden space. This year I lost a very dear man in my life. I planted over 30 different tomatoes for this man. All different types of them and every time I walk into that garden I cry . Also his family gave me 60 days to move. So I can not step into my garden. I can’t even look at it. So I gave it away. As I am writing this I am crying. Eventually I hope I can grow another one but for my mental health I am not gardening. On the bright side I watch how you had started to walk to help you heal. So now I have a gym membership and it’s helping me to heal. Thank you for being so vulnerable with us. You are helping me and you don’t even know it. Or even know me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Jamerrill, there are seasons in life where the earth has to lay fallow to gather up it’s strength again. It is not dying, it is resting. Your garden is beautiful and like your other viewer said, the earth will take back anything you don’t end up using so nothing is a waste because it will make the earth stronger the same way your season of rest and running and growing will make you stronger🤗
Girl, I know you calling it “abandoned” is a dig at your haters and I’m here for it. Forget them. If they’re so mad they can come tend it for themselves. You’ve got bigger fish to fry and it’s YOUR land, your garden, if you need to let it go feral for a season or ten of your life, that’s your prerogative. Your real fans are here for whatever season our Mega Mama is in. I had cancer…twice. My garden suffered. I let so many plants just die. It was a feral barren wasteland. I was lucky to get out without chemo both times but the surgeries and emotional toll of it all took me OUT. Eventually I pulled it all up and started over. Now it’s full of abundance again. Do what you feel like you can and not what others think you should. ❤
Many hugs and yes so true a rest to everything can be good and I love when I can't get to mine it's a very happy place by itself. The way it wants to be. And somehow just looks beautiful like the fairies had fun and where they want to be. 💕💕
Focus on the things that bring you joy. Even if you only work one flower bed that is enough. Your garden will wait for you. Mother Earth is patient and she understands.
I think your garden is wonderful because it still thrives with accomplishments of the past and is keeping future hopes and dreams safe until you are ready xo
Don't you worry about those hopes and dreams in that garden, you still have hope and you still have dreams, they've just grown like that garden. It is beautiful, all that lush growth it just paints a picture of freshness and new beginnings. Don't worry about weeds they're just natural flowers and especially dandelions, pretty yellow faces and the oh so delicate seeds. So good for the wildlife. So maybe not feeding the kids with tomato sauce but nurturing the nature around you ❤ take heart my lovely lady , you're doing so well x
This reminds me of the book/movie The Secret Garden! There is beautiful life hiding underneath all of that. And when the time is right, it will return to its former glory!
When I was young, I grew up on a farm in Ohio. And each year a field was left untouched. This way it would let nature take its course and let it replenish itself. It’s the same with your garden, you are letting it sit out for a year so that it too can replenish itself along with you.
What an example you are for your kiddos. Both in how to do the necessary hard things and also in being gentle and compassionate with yourself as you make your way through.
Growing anything is a joy. You're an amazing lady and survivor. I'm passing through a trying time and watching you go through much more than i am gives me strength and hope. I don't think you can even imagine how many people you've touched and helped. I pray God's blessings on you and your children sweet pretty lady 🥰
@18:10 that little butterfly 🦋🦋🦋 looked as if it was following your hand 🥰🥹😍 that spot is filled with so much emotion, food, flowers, & 🤏 a few weeds 😂 I really love the way you give yourself grace 🙏🙏🙏 ❤
Sweet Jamerrill - thank you so much for this video. The whole time we were walking through your garden, I could not stop thinking about how it was a beautiful metaphor for how the Lord provides even when we think nothing can grow in the painful, scary times of our lives. God brings beauty in the darkness, comfort in the ocean of grief, life when it feels like we are surrounded by death. He is always with us, just like your lovely volunteer plants graced your garden with vibrant life. I just can’t help but be so proud of you. ❤
Jemerrill, as you harvest whatever grows in your garden this year you will naturally clear areas and as you do it will start to look better. Just accept the bounty and reep what you have previously sown. Don't mind the weeds, you will start to uncover the garden as you go along, all the raised beds and growing bags are still there, you laid the foundations for your future garden, just need to keep walking forward and you will get back to gardening in due course. When you are ready and able it will be easier to start back again because you are not starting from scratch - you've done the hard part xx
I would like to make a suggestion. I know the state of your gardens is hard for you to see. You pointed out so many beautiful flowers. Have you thought about cutting some of the flowers to make yourself beautiful bouquets. Maybe 1 every week or 2 as a reminder that your gardens are still providing beauty for you and your family. Imagine a fresh home grown bouquet on your table.
Jamerrill everything is beautiful! You are amazing! Take your time and it will happen! You do you!!! You are a blessing to others and I appreciate you so much!! Enjoy life as god gives you his blessing! A wonderful mother and a caring heart you have!
Oh, Jamerrill, I just want to reach through the screen and hug you. You are such an inspiration in how to give yourself grace (something I'm terrible at). We're having a rough go of it here with health concerns and I really need to remember to take my emotions as they come and not be so hard on myself. Sending love from PA 💜
Words are hard as I am 😭 for your loss on so many levels. You are being heroic in your walk to support your family, and be everything to everyone. We , are your garden, who bloom because of you. Don’t do anything in the garden that triggers any additional grief. This stranger prays for you daily.❤
I see so much life in this garden. ❤️ I see plants that are nourishing the soil and will make it even better when you're ready. The Lord is taking care of your garden for you this year, and giving you some beautoful volunteers in the process. ❤️
Just like your garden, you are rebuilding yourself. Just keep looking at those happy sunflowers in your garden, giving you that boost to keep on going and growing. You got this ❤
I know you’ve talked about trauma and when you’re ready just know that it will be a healing process for you through those traumatic moments. There I’m sure will be a lot of tears while doing the garden clean out but that’s your body healing! We all know you got this and your support system with your kids and mom! Hang in there and know we are here to support too! You got this and have overcome a lot and know you can overcome this hurdle!!! ❤
This was such a sweet and tender video to watch Jamerrill, thank you. In my mind, I hear the song from the show Annie… The sun will come out tomorrow. So much love sent your way.
Thank you for showing all the beautiful things in your 'Hopes and Dreams' garden. Isn't it just like life? Innocence, joy, struggles, happiness, tragedy, disappointment, heartbreak, and on, and on. Through it all I wish I had learned many years ago to just sit and listen to the grass grow. Some things in life we will always grieve. Life goes on. There was beauty still there though, because you showed us, In The Garden.
Hi Jamerrill, I just wanted to tell you that I look up to your strength and I feel your pain. As Christians we do go through trials and tribulations. I lost my daughter 3 years ago she was 20 years old, I was diagnosed with leukemia last year and I’m in remission thank God, I twisted my ankle last week and now I have a 2nd degree ligament injury, and to top it all off my husband and I separated after 25 years. Only God’s grace has me still here. What I can tell you is that when I feel like I just can’t anymore I call on the Holy Spirit and he helps me!!! Sending you prayers!!
The potatoes you can let your kids have a dig party in the fall and then clean them up, shred them, freeze dry them and then make hash browns. If not then it will do its thing next year and try again.
Mama J right here with you! This season is tough! I bawl at the drop of a hat. I'm angry and fighting for my sanity! Heartbreak and that big ole curveball has a tight grip. I went to get squirrel and bird food for what gets me going in the morning, with no sleep, the dreams are good and punishing at the same time. I've allowed evil to torment me and it's like reliving it all over and over. But didn't cause I started to sob and walk out. This is my 2nd Sunday since he died and I can't follow along at church, even online! I'm lost and know where to turn! On my knees asking for relief but I know Our Lord is here holding me up. It's the grief, anger running head long into the wall and begging to be able to climb over to the other side. As I looked at your garden I was reminded that whether weed or bloom it's all a blessing from God. And I heard the quote I'm so fond of.. Remember WHO I AM and WHOSE I AM, on repeat! Thankful for you Mama J and I believe in us both. Lol, hold my beer. Lovins to y'all!
Your hostas and flower beds are so beautiful around your house. The colours really compliment each other against the lovely colour of your home. You have so many volunteers, what joy😊 . I personally love a wild area in a garden, it's fantastic for those little bugs and pollinators, they always bring joy to me while walking through the garden. Can I just say you look fabulous. 😊
🌿Your "abandoned" garden is beautiful. All that wild Lamb's ear, I would pick that like crazy for a spinach substitute! That curly dock and dandelion looks good too! All of those are so packed full of vitamins!
It's good to have a little cry it's part of the process. ❤nothing wrong with it ,it cleanses the Hart and soul so we can move on to the next chapter of life ❤. Take care of you and yours..
Thing about gardening it's always there when you are ready ❤❤ Sunflowers are such a joyous, full of beauty flower and good for the soul ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Love and hugs from the UK x
If you need that community togetherness to aid in your gardening to beat back the feelings, maybe turning all that area you got into a friends and family area might be a thought. Let others enjoy your space as well as help you along. Or even grow food for those that can't. Enjoy you.
You have a beautiful garden whether you feel you can tend to it or not. As you say nature will help you when you need it. You are such a strong woman and I really hope you feel that we are all here for you ❤
I wish I had the energy to do a garden, even a container garden. I just don’t have the ummph to do any kind of gardening…and I grew up in the country on a mini farm. I wasn’t made to do anything though. Wish I had. I think it will be good therapy for you even if you clean up & are able to use some things. You’ve worked very hard & your home & flowers and everything look so beautiful. Almost like a sanctuary. Maybe that could be your prayer & healing garden-with some benefits. Please know you are so very much loved & cared about, you’re in our hearts & prayers. God knows it all. Every minute detail. He hears your heart’s prayers when words just won’t come. When every tear has been cried. I know this for sure. When two of my sons were in Iraq at the same time right after 911, God heard this momma’s heart prayers when prayers just wouldn’t come. My boys came home. My prayers linked with others …. It’s mighty & powerful. Your Victory is ahead. Keep your eye on Him ☝️. He has His eyes on His baby girl whose name is Jamerrill. Hugs, prayers and blessings ❤️🙏🙌
The great thing about land is it waits patiently but it's quiety busy looking after the soil ....worms are a wormin, bugs are a buggin. Nothing is lost or spoiled or hopeless it's all doing its thing quietly til we are ready. Xx
Just think, all of those volunteers are just reminding you that it’s ok. I love that so many of your potatoes have grown back to say hello to you. Any flower that bows its head towards you is a wave from all of us saying hello. Do what you need to do with that space. Leave it be this year. Till it under in the fall, if possible, so that if you choose to grow a small garden or a huge garden then you are one step closer. Love to you and your family. I hope that all the children are adjusting to the new - you are showing them the way.
I know you think that garden is a hot mess and a write off for the current season but OMG I can see so much abundance in there!!!! Just focus on what is growing volunteer and harvest that. Pull what is clearly a “weed” and enjoy the space!!!
Waving from East Texas! I REALLY enjoyed the tour of your “Garden in the Wild”! So fun to see all the volunteers of so many flowers…and potatoes! Many Blessings to you and the Family
The garden tour was sweet, helped you put things in a different light. Everything in life has a season. Our feelings, struggles, disappointments, and achievements. You are doing what you need to do, enjoy that bunch of munchkins. Add different adventures into your life. I’m still praying for you every night at 8:30 pm central. I was concerned about you working so hard in that garden last year. The earth will take care of what you don’t, remember to be kind to yourself. You are loved!!!
Jamerrill, it comes a time in a person's life where it is time to do what's good for you and you alone. You are still a young woman, nows the time. You have the love of God to show you the way. I'll be 75 on June 20th, and I'm just starting to concentrate on me. 💛 from 🇨🇦
The house and yard looks beautiful Jamerrill. If you're planning to move the Cannes they wiuld be gorgeous next to the house. Thanks for all your do for us. Big hugs.
God amazes us all the time. Even though you didn't plant He still has faithfully given abundance in areas you may have never thought of. He's a good good Father ❤. God bless y'all 🙏💙🙏
I am a very long time follower, never comment but I want to say I love your hopes and dreams garden ❤. It’s like a metaphor of life. We set out with goals and expectations that are tidy, neat and rigid. Then it gets unexpectedly changed and those goals and expectations have gone. But life keeps going like the garden. It like you faced adversity but is thriving and growing strong in a different way. It may not be the neat garden you had planned but the flowers are beautiful and the gardens still providing a harvest for you 🥰.
The pretty purple flowers look like hairy vetch. It will continue to spread on its own. It is one of those flowers that tends to sneak into alfalfa fields. Great for erosion control and water conservation.
Hopes and dreams can still flourish on their own and that area would be perfect for a wild flower meadow. Sow a good mix of wild flower seeds and sit and wait for whatever comes up. And just like life it will surprise you when it’s ready with its tenacity and beauty. And when it comes to wild flowers don’t try to move them. Mother Nature has chosen their spot and they will do best there.
Just go through the garden and spend time pulling weeds. Leave the veggies and flowers and you’ll end up with a nice meadow garden. You’ll support so many pollinators
When hosts are happy in thier garden spot homes, they are so easy and wonderful low labor plants. Quite honestly ferns, self mounding chives, and even rhubarb do well with hostas and low labor.
Jamerill one of my favorite books as a child was "The Secret Garden" I thought of it as you gave us the tour. In that book despair was over came by bringing the garden back to life. When you are ready, your Secret Garden will spring back to life and be beautiful, just as you are.
That Garden is the Garden of Champions. Struggles make you stronger. You are a butterfly 🦋 that is flying now. You were in the cocoon and now you are breaking out. I’m proud of you.
Your garden is wonderful because it knows you smile does volunteer carrots are tomatoes returning to you. Take your shoes off when you’re in a safe place in the garden and feel the love of the garden rebuilding and restoring your home and garden with love as the soft dirt is on your feet and the breeze comes across your face . God bless you sweetie . ❤
Before I was born my dad planted potatoes and snow peas. We harvested from those plantings every year until we moved. Some plants endure neglect quite well. They were created to grow and so they will regardless of the difficulty that passes through, as do we.
Jamerril, sometimes you get a hardball thrown at you, pick it up and throw it back. You dont need it. You got this. Take care of yourself and kids. Keep the faith ❤❤
See you are still getting joy with the garden. A garden or bed areas or even forest spaces with things that just live and grow is so so good for the soul. The fairies have had a lot of fun too just look at the beauty they made to make you smile. The potatoes are incredible and whenever the time comes to get more done well whenever it is is just the way its meant to be. The garden and beds tour really made me feel warm and cozy. Love and hugs

So proud of you Jamerrill. ❤️❤️🙏🙏
There will always be a season to begin gardening again. You do you and it will come in time.

I wish I could give you more than one thumbs up, cuz your comment was absolutely spot on.
I couldn’t hv said it better myself❣️👍🏻👏👏👏👏👏
Bless you and your spirit!! ❤
❤❤
Who said people are hating on her for the garden? I have not seen any hate.
I was so excited to see your Walmart lilies living out their destiny with you and making you smile. I love my lilies.
Your garden is a beautiful picture of real life - it may look messy, but it is full of beautiful things that nourish and bring joy. ❤
Focus on the things that bring you joy. Even if you only work one flower bed that is enough. Your garden will wait for you. Mother Earth is patient and she understands.
The garden is kinda of a reflection of how life is. Crazy with lots of weeds, but at the same time Gods rays of beauty showing throughout. ❤
“Don’t worry, the earth will take it back.” Goosebumps! 😊
Your volunteer plants are a hug from God to you! Enjoy the goodness.
Jamerrill, you are a survivor just like your garden. Sending lots of love and hugs. ❤
I think your garden is wonderful because it still thrives with accomplishments of the past and is keeping future hopes and dreams safe until you are ready xo
Yes and Amen! ❤❤❤❤❤
That was beautifully written.
No pressure but working in the dirt is therapeutic. Just do what you can, your garden is still beautiful. Hugs sweetie!
Your comment was just too perfect! ❤🙏🏻❤
Volunteer plants always make me smile and think about how AWESOME our creator is ❤
I agree all my seedlings failed this year and I was blessed with 40 volunteer tomato plants from last year 😊
So true!

One step at a time mrs. Jamerrill! You are doing amazing ❤ a garden dosen't have to be perfect to be productive.

Awww Jamerrill , I was so sad watching this video and watching you go through this. We are with you on this journey. Stay strong ❤️🇨🇦
I like that. It is not an abandoned garden; it is a garden of hope❤

I’m so very glad, friend. We definitely need to have hope for a new day.

🌿Your "abandoned" garden is beautiful. All that wild Lamb's ear, I would pick that like crazy for a spinach substitute! That curly dock and dandelion looks good too! All of those are so packed full of vitamins!
I know you said your garden reminds you of your sadness. However, i see beautifulness in there.
Everything doesn’t have to be happening right now. Your garden has so many beautiful things happening inside of ‘the mess’ ❤️❤️❤️
Those lilys are going to b BEAUTIFUL when they bloom!! Much love to you and yours, Jamerrill ❤❤
Stay on your path. You are amazing, friend ❤
It's good to have a little cry it's part of the process. ❤nothing wrong with it ,it cleanses the Hart and soul so we can move on to the next chapter of life ❤. Take care of you and yours..

I’m glad you have a large family ❤
If you need that community togetherness to aid in your gardening to beat back the feelings, maybe turning all that area you got into a friends and family area might be a thought. Let others enjoy your space as well as help you along. Or even grow food for those that can't. Enjoy you.
You have a beautiful garden whether you feel you can tend to it or not. As you say nature will help you when you need it. You are such a strong woman and I really hope you feel that we are all here for you ❤
One day at a time. ❤
Take care hon Gardens show us life continues ❤❤❤❤
Enjoy your hostas and hanging baskets. Maybe pick one bed to spruce up and see how it feels.
Remember to seek the blooming flowers through the turmoil.
Waving from East Texas! I REALLY enjoyed the tour of your “Garden in the Wild”! So fun to see all the volunteers of so many flowers…and potatoes! Many Blessings to you and the Family
Thanks for the tour…. It all looks beautiful and rustic to me…❤
It would be a blessing to see you back in your garden working it again...😊😊😊
Big hugs.
I look forward to your videos every time!!
You're the best!
Please bring us back in the fall so we can see the beautiful sunflowers!
I’d love to!!
Thank you for sharing your garden with us. You are loved. ❤
Sunflowers love you, Jamerrill. How wise they are.🌻🌻🌻
I am here for the vlog style videos. Nice hanging with you Jamerrill 😊
Yay! Thank you!
There is beauty in neglected things, too.
Saw some red berries, probably strawberries mixed in toward the end of your walk. Perennials are the best! So many beautiful colors.
You have gotten this, my friend. God favors you!❤🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Beautiful garden! God bless you!
Seeing the sunflowers makes my heart happy!
It’s the little signs of beauty that keep us trekking along in this season or seasons of life.
Love the hanging baskets
Before I was born my dad planted potatoes and snow peas. We harvested from those plantings every year until we moved. Some plants endure neglect quite well. They were created to grow and so they will regardless of the difficulty that passes through, as do we.
It may not be a "typically" beautiful garden but it is so full of promise. And there are no limitations on a promise. ❤
You're doing it! Go, girl! 🎉
You cry, I cry. Gosh, I'm so proud of you, though.
One day you will find yourself back in the garden and you will find your joy. You will notice all of Gods beauty.
