I feel the same as her regarding Harry Pothead lost interest after the 3rd movie. Granted I have no love or respect for the mental disorders mad about the game or J.K to begin with.
It's cry-bullying, plain and simple. I've worked with kids a fair bit and you notice it a lot with certain kids. Something doesn't go their way? They feel 'sick', the person who doesn't let them have their way makes them feel anxious, they need whatever is causing them discomfort to go away RIGHT NOW. It's childish, manipulative behaviour springing from a belief that everyone else's primary concern should be accommodating THEIR well being and it's normally knocked on the head pretty swiftly when the kid in question realises that they're alienating everyone around them and will end up with no friends because EVERYONE notices the oddly convenient timing of their 'anxiety/sickness'. Online however, those kids don't get a reality check. They get others just like them who are happy to confirm that the world actually is that brutally unfair for not tailoring to their whims. Except now, those kids are adults and they never learned how to behave properly so you have situations like this... And it will KEEP being like that until more people than not start telling them that they're not going to have their lives revolve around THEM. Honestly, the entitlement of it is disgusting.
Lol the twitter drama made me buy the game I’m 16 hours in and I love it so far ,I’m not even a Harry Potter fan like never finished any of the movies and only played the Lego games of it
Because twitter drama and their cancelling is unimportant to everyone. If not for a couple streamers, including Pippa, I wouldn't have known about it and still highly uncaring about it. Their drama is pointless and just whining.
Why do Vtubers or just streamers seem to be so effected by what a couple dozen or maybe hundred people have to say on Twitter? Is there just something im not getting? Cause going as far as cancelling streams like in Pikamees case seems so excessive. Twitter and cancellations really only seem to have the power people give them, most people that actually disappear after being "cancelled" usually actually did something illegal or generally deplorable and had to deal with a lot more than Twitter backlash from some sheltered keyboard warrior in another country.
The problem is these psychos are relentless and will get their group to go after people. All someone would have to do is announce they'll be playing and I guarantee you the haters will be quote tweeting/retweeting telling people "you know what to do"
it's only really a problem if you are conflict-adverse enough to apologize (or as a corporate streamer are forced to apologize by your boss). Once you apologize they sense weakness and will dedicate enormous amounts of effort into ruining your life. The only defense is to double down.
For the most part they have fairly positive comment section and to suddenly have 100-150 people bitching and moaning at them at once feels like a huge amount of negative backlash. The first reaction is probably "i fucked up" and they cancel their streams. I agree with you but im just trying to find some sort of explanation to their thought process.
A couple dozen or maybe a hundred people is a lot of people to be harassing you on what many vtubers consider their most used social media platform. Imagine if that many people were cyberbullying you at school. Doesn't matter how many people aren't doing it in comparison, it's still a huge bummer
Because they coordinate targets and use sockpuppets, so it seems a large number. When Lumi was playing, she had people complaining in chat and even donating to have TTS read complaints quite often. They do nothing all day but go from streamer to streamer to complain, mostly pretending to be old fans. Some streamers fall for that, too. Not every streamer is old Internet and used to that.
1:35 How the hell is she this based 2:39 It's one big hugbox, I think Pippa talked about this before. You simply _can not_ do a different thing than the Twitch cabal hive mind without somebody eventually deciding it isn't your day and making a cancel thread about you.
@@catgirl_warcrimes just the possibility of playing it has you riled up and leaving a comment. So i would say, anyone who did or does it, somehow "showed you".
There's a lot of bad things in this world, I support trans people I don't have a problem with them, but in the grand scheme of things a wizard game is pretty small potatoes. In a few years nobody will care about the wizard game so play it.
JK Rowling isn't transphobic. She never has been. That was spread around as a total lie a couple years ago. Her original tweet was that she doesn't think trans women and cis women are the same. That was it. That's her "transphobia"
I'm sure people are getting harassed because we're on the internet and internet bullying has been easy and prevalent forever. But the example tweets shown in this video aren't harassment, they're not even close.
I try to wonder what a person would have to do/believe to get me to harass fans of their work. In the present day there is nothing. The only answer I can come up with is to revert my mind to 12 years old. So I think I get why these people are behaving the way they are, but the real issue is that the 'normal' people listen to them - adults writing articles on tween outrage as if it's news.
I would never buy a Harry Potter product, because I think the books are trash fiction but the fact you can stream the game and get snowflake idiots mad is hilarious.
With how dumb people are being about this as a non fan of Harry Potter I'd buy the game just to SPITE these people, all only part that JK had in it is the IP nothing else from what I've seen.
(I recommend Shuan for becoming awaken as he's made two videos on Rowling and Harry Potter.) Franchise doesn't look worth it to dive into, especially with Rowling's issues with writing characters, like Harry being rich as fuck but not helping his friend's family make ends meet, Doby being freed from slavery but being made to look crazy (and also Hermione leading a group of people to end slavery but everyone, including her own friends laughing at her.) And apparently the heads of elves being used for Christmas decorations. Also, kind of a issue to try and put in Genshin Impact and any Activision game in with Hogwarts Legacy, since Rowling has no involvement with the game or company and also she has been mentioned by politicians while they push bills that kill freedom.
Most of the comments shown in the video seem to just boil down to “I’m disappointed by what you’ve done,” or “you seem to have acted on bad information.” Since when did negative constructive criticism become harassment and hate? If we’re gonna talk about “terminally online behavior” let’s sit and think about that for a bit.
That's what we call emotional manipulation. Passive aggressive shaming of someone to get them to bend their will to your desires. Additionally those are just a handful. There are way more, some of which were toxic enough that they got reported /deleted for harassment.
i hate harry potter too. it being written by a terf is a bonus reason, but not my main reason tho. i was a cirque du freak kid, and i just though HP was very cringe. great points tho, unfortunately most of any media you consume is going to be either: made by someone lame, have someone involved who's lame and whatever etc. it's unavoidable. some pals have summed it up well enough in my opinion. "enjoy stuff, but just be conscious"
The fans suck. That said there is nothing wrong with playing the game. But people grand standing saying shit like PLAYING THIS GAME SUPPORTS TRANS GENOCIDE that play Genshin are hypocritical since Genshin is made by the Chinese and they have a long list of human rights violations.

im not a fan of HP ever since i first heard about it when high school back then. probably because it is in novel form which not my fav media to enjoy story. but the game seems well made from what i saw in vtuber streams, the author controversy doesnt even that bad that you have to go campaign hate messages. its not like JK did a crime or something, many2 ppl said worse than JK on internet that what JK did seems mild to me.
Basically my same situation.
>as a trans woman in england, i don't feel safe around you anymore. because you played a specific videogame that tangentially is related to someone who says mean words
how is this not mental illness again?
Always has been. From Oscar Wilde till now
I feel the same as her regarding Harry Pothead lost interest after the 3rd movie.
Lol the twitter drama made me buy the game I’m 16 hours in and I love it so far ,I’m not even a Harry Potter fan like never finished any of the movies and only played the Lego games of it
Oh, let's fucking go. Calling out the hypocrisy of playing Genshin while also ganging up on anyone that played the wizard game.
Based as always.
Twitter: IT'S NOT WOKE, REEEEEE!
Meanwhile, the game: "No such thing as male or female, just 'voice one and voice two'... IT'S MA'AM!"
At least the voice discrepancy is funny.
The fact the bgm in the background is conker bad fur day...is so hilarious and based
That duck game is so good. I saw another vtuber play it too.
Pippa is so fucking based! I literally was thinking the same thing. I don’t like Harry Potter but I want to play it to spite the Woke community.
1:35 How the hell is she this based
2:39 It's one big hugbox, I think Pippa talked about this before. You simply _can not_ do a different thing than the Twitch cabal hive mind without somebody eventually deciding it isn't your day and making a cancel thread about you.
I haven't gotten any hate comments while streaming it 😢
Maybe you are not big enough or maybe you dont appeal to that crowd.
@@AzeharaCh most likely not big enough.
Just because of the actions of those people i would extra double down on playing it.
Funding transphobia and buying a game you don't care about to own the libs. Wow you showed me :|
@@catgirl_warcrimes just the possibility of playing it has you riled up and leaving a comment. So i would say, anyone who did or does it, somehow "showed you".
@@J.Crime123 oof ouch ouchy I'm hurt :| wow you sure showed me again wow, I'm sure being owned epic style by you :|
No. You choose the house.
2:53 Huh. It's like people don't care about virtue signaling, the cancel people and their constant whining problems. Huh.
I'm sure people are getting harassed because we're on the internet and internet bullying has been easy and prevalent forever. But the example tweets shown in this video aren't harassment, they're not even close.
JKR said nothing wrong about the trans community. lol
Exactly. Her being transphobic is a total lie
Pippa be like: "Let's not get political... Okay time to get political"
We have reached the point where the Rowling hatedom is worse than Rowling herself.
You just must not be very familiar with her if you earnestly think that
I try to wonder what a person would have to do/believe to get me to harass fans of their work.
In the present day there is nothing. The only answer I can come up with is to revert my mind to 12 years old.
So I think I get why these people are behaving the way they are, but the real issue is that the 'normal' people listen to them - adults writing articles on tween outrage as if it's news.
"A really loud minority"
heh
we love our based queens, folks
I think I lost something
Why is genshin impact political now?
Its a Chinese game, China does not give any support to homosexuals
El Pancho the duck my beloved
Wait....what's controversial about genshin?....
Its dogshit and the community is cancer. (but also China)
I don't want to spend a bunch of money on harry potter game. Spends hundreds of dollars on harry potter plushies xD
what that guy said wasnt even poitical
it was saying politic crinege
I would never buy a Harry Potter product, because I think the books are trash fiction but the fact you can stream the game and get snowflake idiots mad is hilarious.
With how dumb people are being about this as a non fan of Harry Potter I'd buy the game just to SPITE these people, all only part that JK had in it is the IP nothing else from what I've seen.
(I recommend Shuan for becoming awaken as he's made two videos on Rowling and Harry Potter.)
Franchise doesn't look worth it to dive into, especially with Rowling's issues with writing characters, like Harry being rich as fuck but not helping his friend's family make ends meet, Doby being freed from slavery but being made to look crazy (and also Hermione leading a group of people to end slavery but everyone, including her own friends laughing at her.) And apparently the heads of elves being used for Christmas decorations.
0:14 ew
not 100% sure... but I beleive Silvervale bent the knee. Her tweet that they responded to is deleted.
She still streamed the game but deleted the tweet
Update: Silvervale ain't bending no knee. Infact, she raised those knee and stomped on the "twitter freak" and continued to stream.
Pretenda a women LMFAO

What's wrong with Genshin Impact?
China
@@azahel542 Ah, well. A lot of the people who hate JKR fucking love Mao, so no surprises there.
The new HP game is very good from what I've seen. Not really meme source, just a good game.
Tbh pippas career is too fragile to survive playing hogwarts. But then again she can’t be stopped. If you give in to peoples demands you will never get anywhere in life
Fragile?
Pretty sure Pippas audience would cheer her on and her sub count would grow like crazy for playing it.
I'm not on Twitter, what happened?
...If the woke mob came for Pikamee, then we strappin' up 🔫🔫🔫🔫
THey gave her a ton of shit for it. It was going to be her first stream after taking a health break and she had to cancel it because all of the bitching and moaning.
@@AzeharaCh I didn't realise it was the reason she cancelled the stream! I was looking forward to seeing her play! :(
Man this army of woke teens, they claim to stand up for the bullied and the marginalised, and they do this by BULLYING EVERYONE ELSE like bruh 🤡
@@AzeharaCh wasn’t a health break she went on vacation with friends and family, but she was nervous since it was her second longest break on the channel.
@@chamllis My bad. Thought i had heard someone mention she had taken a break because "Flu" related issues.
Those tweets you highlighted weren't harassment, that's actual criticism.
The game really is doo doo though.
I dont know, it looks fine to me.
@@AzeharaCh I bought it on principle to give a middle finger to the bullies and stuff but it just feels like an Ubisoft game with wizard paint to me. I will beat it but prolly never play it again.
That said, if you like it you do you.
Are those tweets calling out silvervale supposed to be considered "harrassment"
it was a shit ton
@@kizu5451 That's one of them. He'll just be lying that nothing happened.
They're not being understanding, they're pretending to be sympathetic to give her a chance to kowtow to them and beg forgiveness. It's all about control.
For the younger generation it could be since they have a lower standard of discomfort. For us old-fashioned online veterans this would be annoying at worst.
@@zero9112 internet things seep into reality more these days, though silvervale hasn't revealed her face (i assume) so i guess she can rest somewhat easy.
Trans rights are human rights. You cannot separate art from the artist when you are financially supporting an artist that believes any purchase of her IP is an endorsement of her beliefs.
It also was never a boycott, it was a desperate plea from LGBT+ folks to not fund this game. People acting like it was a boycott that failed fail to realize the issues and are just looking for a reason to hate in LGBT+ folks. Also the game is antisemitic and was made by a antisemitic developer who runs a gamergate TH-cam channel. Do research don't just hate on people being disappointed that their favorite streamer was actually being a fake ally.
Lmao... The "artist" in this case simply spoke and act with common sense. But it was enough for fragile LGBT individuals to consider it an attack on trans right... Since the "artist" isn't a transphobe... I guess you have no arguments than.
Also, quit denying the fact that your boycott fail. Lying and trying to save face when it literally your own community that calling it a boycott...
Also, "fake ally"? Lmao, please... I think it a blessing for whomever is deem a fake ally by delusional and self absorbed "woke" people. When you have the very people who's right you claim are being threaten, calling you out on your idiocracy... you know you fked up. People in your own LGBT community don't agreed with this BS but you still think that your word are gospel...
