The best way to avoid Twitter drama is not to use Twitter like a therapist. It's really sad how people think they need to put everything on social media.

A major part of the problem is because of how the idea of interaction on the internet has shifted for the worse. It used to be that posting ANY sort of personal information online is the dumbest thing you could do. Anonymity is a protection and there are going to be ppl who are willing to take advantage of those who cede that protection.

Don't have a Twitter account. I don't care for "highschool" level drama. I've never wanted to be famous, believe it or not. I've always considered myself to be just some guy. I want to be better at expressing myself. I've never personally identified with the "Vtuber community." Some people need to realize their personal life and personal problems aren't so important that they need to announce them to the world. We all have problems. A lot of us choose not to burden the world with our own problems. Not trying to hate on anyone, but knowing how to keep things private is part of just being a responsible person.

I think the attempt on trump made some twitter people realize their views are not as widely held as they thought. It’s a strange phenomenon when two twitter communities clash. It’s like they are from different universes and they can’t comprehend that another normal person would think differently than they do.

TikTok has turned into this as well. One of THE most stupid things people do is get a thought in their head to complain about something and IMMEDIATELY run crying to TikTok about it. That's why you get all these compilations of women posting their L's, because when something annoys them, they don't wait a day to stew on it, but immediately run to a social media site to give us their unwanted opinion.

I mean to be brutally honest the entire reason they do this is because random drama gets attention that spreads their name around. It isn't like a vtubers real identity is out there in most cases. So they tend to have nothing to lose by trying to be as dramatic as possible because when they graduate no one will be able to tie it to them and they have a group of fans that won't care at all. Due to how a lot of SEO algorithms works it is actually to their advantage to make things as public as possible to get a massive influx of people looking into them in order to boost their audience. So if people want less vtuber drama they'd need to change the incentives social media companies give to people.

One is a Vtuber that doesnt have a model but has managed to gain 8k subs in less than 8 months (which is very impressive given he has no backing) who has a background in Public Relations. The other is the owner of a Vtuber focused forum that focuses in documenting and discussing the happenings of the general Vtuber sphere.
They are more qualified to talk about this than the average indie Vtuber.

  • @TheBasedTyrant

I really don't like emotional appeals. I was raised to always reflect on my own behavior and what I could do differently in order to reach achieve a better outcome.
I was never coddled, never shown affection, and only given cynical advice on how to deal with people, especially from my mother.
It may sound like I am complaining but the truth is that I am far more advantaged as an adult then many emotionally immature people, now that I am an adult it is possible for me to be totally rational and analytical, and completely supress all of my emotions in order to be calm and in control of every situation that I am in.
It was impossible for me to master my emotions as a child, but since I tried so desperately for so long despite it being impossible, it is natural for me now that I am an adult.
Letting your emotions guide your actions or decisions is always terrible, there is not a single thing in the world which could be described as Good or Bad based soley on how it makes you feel, real world consequences of your actions and rational arguments are all that matter, not arbitrary morals and personal feelings.

i been struggling with maintaining watch time, rebranded my channel for the firth time even dumbed my vroid avatar for a live2d one i bought for 40 bucks on etsy.
TH-cam 383 followers Kick 218 followers Twitch 80 followers and I have not once ever made drama content unless discord server infighting leaks onto the stream.
and I have been struggling because watch time low i get 1 or 2 people in chat active at most despite my subscriber and follower count and its just intense burnout for me.
I can understand the temptation for other smaller vtubers trying to make drama content just to get attention.

Try to advertise yourself somehow. Facebook, TH-cam Shorts, Rddit, anything that helps you get your name out. The average subscriber to watcher percentile is somewhere between 0.5 - 1%. Meaning that you will proably get 5-10 CCV when you are at 1000 subs unless you somehow manage to blow up or have a spotlight on you for something that might have happened.
