One of the duties of the police is to enforce gun control, which makes people incapable of defending themselves against violence, which makes it easier for mass shooters to kill people because they will be the only one with a gun. There is also no guarantee whatsoever that the police will do anything to stop a shooting, as demonstrated in Uvalde, and there is no legal requirement for them to do so. The cases of cops actually stopping violence are less than 1% of all the things cops do. Cops are here to enforce, not to protect, and that is why people don't like them.

@@rudyschwab7709 I don't have any strategies other than to make it nearly impossible for random people to buy guns. Raising the age for buying guns would help, but there's always these older nuts out there buying them to create havoc. The UK did it and so did Australia (or at least improved the situation). New Zealand too, I think. There are certainly ways to do it. Read about what those countries did.

It makes me so sad for these families that lost their loved ones knowing nothing will be done about it. School shootings will never end.
They will when the coverage stops and when people start taking early warning signs seriously and frankly when schools become hard targets.
The media takes a local story and makes it national news for weeks, months, and even years. Unstable people know that this is the way to make sure their rage will be remembered. No wonder there are copycats.

She/he purchased 2 rifles legally. She/he planned , targeted this Christian school/church , drew detailed maps of this school/church, surveillance was done, then she/he carried out the murders. So its more than meets the eye. Unfortunately.

So, once again, when a crazed killer easily enters a school, the cry from our politicians is not “Secure our schools!” but rather “Outlaw private gun possession.” Courtrooms and political chambers don’t have this kind of violence. Schools do. Judges, lawyers, politicians are all protected by fail safe security measures and personnel while the poor children and teachers of this country are fodder for every crazy out there. I am sickened by the apathy of this country and politicians who value the lives inside unprotected schools so little.
The UK doesn't have this kind of violence either. Gee, I wonder what they did to stop school massacres.
