1972-73 Kansas City-Omaha Kings formerly Cincinnati Royals. Nate "Tiny" Archibald leads the NBA in points (34) and assists (11). The only player ever to accomplish that feat.

Nate tiny Archibald one of the greatest point guards of all times in the history of the NBA. Up to this day the only man to lead the league in scoring and assist in the same year..... This is who Kenny Anderson was being compared to before he got hurt and injured left wrist which was his shooting hand against the Knicks. .

Loved Tiny! When he'd be dribbling up there at the top of the key and then took off, driving over, under, around and THROUGH all those arms and legs - and then either lay the ball up or kick it out to someone...now THAT was basketball! At 6'1" Nate only seemed "tiny" - this man was ALL BASKETBALL, trust me.

I really enjoyed listening to Tiny Archibald. Him and Jabber were my favorites. Tiny is being to humble about his ability. He would give Kyrie a real problem if they played against each other. That physical style then would have slowed down today's players. A real gentleman.

Tiny and Chris Ford came to my high School (Doherty in Worcester,) in 1981, They gave a little clinic it was great. Tiny went against my classmate Joe Gamal who I knew since Grammar school, and he blew right by Joe. It was amazing! We were razzing Chris Ford because he kept missing threes and he yelled, "I'm not not warmed up yet!" Too funny. Tiny's game was amazing though. I loved those years.

Tiny was a very good man in his prime while with the kings he used to take me to the Rucker with him too watch him play and Dr J. I lived in MILLBROOK PROJECTS and his first wife did also. He didn't have to do it. Big up TINY master left hand. SBX.

I saw Nate in Omaha Civic Auditorium in '73 when he played for the KC-Omaha Kings and they split their home games between both cities. Saw them play the Pistons and Bob Lanier. Kept watching Nate and Scott Wedman when they got traded to the Celtics. He was The Answer before there was an Iverson.

The Celtics would have won.another title with.Nate if.he hadn't busted up his shoulder against the Knicks. It took him out of the playoffs was it in 1982. Not sure it was so.long ago.

Fitch had a bad temper, and simply did not know how to treat players, which is why he didn't get the players respect the way KC did.
